On this gazelle, the body was lifted by the nsh-10 paired with a starter from the zil. But after 3-4 lifts of the load - 200, the battery was drained to zero, and it did not have time to charge (according to the owner of the car). Motor 402. On the head, on two side studs, I hung the Gura Maz (Kraz) mounting bracket; I just replaced the 2-groove pulley on it with a pulley with one groove. The pump is new nsh32 hydrosila. The drive will be a belt from the crankshaft.
Next, I welded a tee to the pump outlet. A ball valve is installed at one end. the valve is closed - the oil goes to the hydraulic distributor, then to the tank. the tap is open - the oil goes into the tank, bypassing the distributor. Thus, when opening The crane removes the load from the motor and there is no need to remove the belt. The crane is driven by a cable for UAZ Bobik blinds. It has a lock.

The distributor was used with the T-16. 2-section distributor. Without lever position lock. The distributor was installed on the left side of the gearbox mounting traverse. I made a slot in the interior and installed a handle from a 15*15 square pipe. Of course, everything will be painted, a knob will be installed on the handle and a boot.
The tank is homemade, it works locally. I installed it instead of the battery, and moved the battery down. I couldn't find any other place for the tank, because... the pump stands high, but for some reason the oil does not flow upward by gravity). Under the tank and battery, I welded a bracket from a 20*40 pipe, which I attached to the old mount of the battery strip and the cabin spar.
Well, the body itself. Subframe and body support made of 100 channels. The hinge is rotating - a tube in a pipe. Lifting cylinder 4 pieces from the lawn. I'll add more detailed photos a little later.

Common mistakes when doing DIY body repairs
- The use of electronic welding for fastening body parts does not guarantee the quality of work.

- The discrepancy between the selected paint and the factory color may indicate the location of the repair.

Work technology
The most important conditions when carrying out work are consistency and unhurriedness. The repair procedure looks like this:
- patches are cut out of the material in shape and size corresponding to the damaged part of the body;
- epoxy resin and hardener are mixed in the prepared container in the proportions specified in the instructions;
- the first layer of the resulting mixture is applied to the prepared area;
- a prepared piece of fiberglass is placed on top and smoothed with a roller impregnated with resin;
- when the resin has set, the surface is covered with sandpaper;
- the next step is applying putty;
- After complete hardening, paint and varnish work is carried out.
Body patches
This repair option is most often carried out on the body of Gas 3110, Gas 69, 24, 3102 and Gazelle, if areas of corrosion are noticeable. Below is a detailed algorithm of actions:
Using a grinder, cut out the rusty area of the body. If the body is so rotten that a hole appears, it should be cut off, adding 1-2 centimeters around the entire perimeter.
Attention. It is advisable to cut the hole evenly, for example, keeping a rectangular or square shape
This is done so that the patch can be installed more conveniently, without problems.
- The metal surfaces around the edges of the hole are carefully cleaned. Burrs are also cleaned from inside the hole, which can be easily done with a file;
- Then you need to prepare a suitable patch from a piece of steel sheet having a thickness of at least 0.8 mm.
- First, the patch is not welded at the corners with a continuous seam, but is only slightly tacked for accuracy;
- Then there is a full welding line, welding is carried out with an overlap.
- Cleaning seams is a mandatory procedure for welding work;
- After this, automotive putty is applied to the work site;
- Then the primer is applied, first the starting one and then the finishing one;
- The leveled surface is painted in the desired color.
Auto body experts also recommend sealing the weld. Thanks to this, the supplied patch will last for Gas 3110, 69, 24, 3102 and Gazelle much longer. Sealing is an operation to eliminate possible moisture from entering the weld through putty.
In addition, it would be a good idea to carry out anti-corrosion treatment on all seams and the patch itself. This is done before priming or applying putty.
Service life of ZMZ-24 motors
The GAZ 24 engine has excellent endurance and can withstand many abuses from the driver:
- fill in different oils, even from Kamaz, mix different oils;
- do not check the oil level in the crankcase every time;
- overheat the engine;
- drive at maximum speed.
Examples demonstrating how durable the ZMZ-24 engine is:
- Volga GAZ-24 worked in a taxi, after which they disassembled the engine and saw that clots of liquid resembling solid oil had accumulated around the oil pump, the oil became very thick, and everything under the valve covers was also covered in thick oil. Moreover, the car was sent for repairs not because the engine knocked, but because it was time to do the engine repair, a kind of scheduled maintenance.
- The second case, when the engine was repaired in the garage, the problem was that the head gasket was blown, antifreeze began to get into the engine in large quantities, so the oil became completely white, but I still had to drive on this oil. At first the engine growled loudly, but only after 200 km. The antifreeze from the oil pan evaporated and the oil became normal and the engine began to work as it should.
