Although now everyone saws (almost all Chinese). Previously, trees/firewood were cut with a Friendship saw. It is heavy, difficult to start, and large in size. The note is powerful for that) Although this one plus and a bunch of minuses did not please me. She got tired of sawing after two heating seasons (yes, by the way, I live outside the city, in a place where gas is only available in a gas cylinder or in a car with an LPG))). I went to Leroy Merlin, chose a saw that had enough money and which had a better quality plastic body (there were also outright pieces of manure, even cheaper, but the plastic was like 100 ruble Chinese toys. It seemed that it would crack at the touch). I chose Maxcut 146. I bought it. Came home. Filled up with oil and gasoline. Started it up with ease. The saw seemed fluffy compared to the Friendship saw. I went to buy a new chain. I arrived at the store, showed him the old chain and said that it was the same for me. I was too lazy to look for the chain pitch and length in the instructions, but we had problems with the Internet back then. As a result, such a chain was not found, i.e. Either it was the wrong length, or the chain pitch was wrong. And my chain itself turned out to be only sold in the city, only in Leroy Merlin. Time was running out and I bought this dull “chain” again. After a short period of time, the chain was again stretched to its limit. I decided that I had saved enough and needed to change something. I read the Internet and was very surprised, he refuses to eat maxcut 146 with a 16′ tire - 40 centimeters and eat it with a 38 centimeter tire. Here I was 38cm. The kind Leroy apparently did this on purpose so that only he would take the consumables from him. I bought a 16′ (40cm) canvas with the name Patriot. I also bought a 40cm chain, also patriot.

I disassembled my maxcut, checked the oil pump, everything is fine, it supplies oil, intact, without signs of wear or oil leaks. Collected. I put on a new tire and put on a chain. Everything went smoothly.

Friends, now the main thing. Saw Maxcut 146: chain pitch 0.325″, chain thickness 1.3mm, bar length 38cm. The chain is smooth, without nicks or grooves. Patriot ILM analogue: chain pitch 0.325″, chain thickness 1.5mm, bar length 40cm. The chain has serrations and small indentations that allow oil to penetrate the chain pins, lubricating it. And the small grooves allow the chain to lubricate the bar. Here is a photo to compare the chains and so you can see how much the chain has stretched. The maxcut chain is 38cm (it was once) and the patriot is 40cm. It looks exactly the same size.

At the moment I will be sawing two cubes of firewood in the near future. I'll see how the new chain and tire behave. I hope the new chain will last longer. As you noticed, the old maxcut chain is thinner and does not have oil-retaining notches and grooves for oil to penetrate to the chain pins. And the old chain, like the tire itself, was of a non-standard size, 38cm, although it should have been a good 40cm. And I don’t even want to talk about the quality of the metal.
