The GAZ-53 hydraulic cylinder is an important component of the lifting mechanism of the dump truck. The GAZ 53 truck is rightfully considered one of the most popular cars of the Soviet period.   • hydraulic cylinder;

As we can see from the above elements, the design of the GAZ 53 hydraulics has a rather complex structure. Each of these parts is a complete device, consisting of its own parts and structural elements.

The operating principle of the lifting mechanism is the functioning of the GAZ-53 hydraulic cylinder. In turn, it has a telescopic structure consisting of 3 equal sliding parts.

To ensure the operation of the lift, they are filled with oil, which is supplied to them using a pump. Likewise, to lower it, the liquid leaves the GAZ-53 hydraulic cylinder through a check valve. This process makes it possible to ensure full operation of the platform and significantly facilitate human labor.

Purpose

Initially, the GAZ 3507 dump truck was developed exclusively for use in the agricultural sector, since its technical characteristics allow it to be driven on poor quality roads. However, thanks to numerous advantages, the vehicle has become a truly universal solution for transporting goods.

According to the official data of the manufacturer, indicated in the documentation supplied with the car, it is not intended for transporting concrete, various solutions for construction purposes, or for use in quarries. This is due to the specific design of the vehicle, which involves transportation of:

  • grains;
  • manure, other fertilizers;
  • silo;
  • sand, gravel and small stones.

Failure to follow the manufacturer's recommendations can lead to rapid breakdown of key components of this truck. Most often, malfunctions are observed in the dump truck tipping mechanism, as well as related components. The design of the car does not imply the possibility of installing a coupling device, since its use can also lead to serious damage.

The GAZ-SAZ 53 dump truck was produced in 2 versions: with lateral and vertical unloading. The principle of operation of hydraulics has always remained unchanged and consists of supplying oil using a power take-off unit through a pump in the lift cavity. The GAZ-53 body lift hydraulic cylinder provided all the necessary actions. It is not surprising that it most often fails, since it bears almost the entire load.

This state of affairs affects the overall functionality of the lift, since it completely fails. To restore its functionality, it is necessary to carry out a whole range of measures, which only a true master of his craft can perform.

Again I lifted the body all the way - and the shut-off valve did its job, like a simple and evil man - I pressed the lever with all my strength, and again I slightly bent the release button, which I was very “glad” about, once again climbing under the car with using pliers to turn slightly and release the button from the wedge when the lift did not work.
