The history of the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant dates back to 1933. Story
The history of the ChTZ-170 heavy bulldozers began in 1988, when the T-170 tractor rolled off the plant’s assembly line. As a result, the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant launched a line of B-170 heavy-class bulldozers, new for its time.

Modifications
In connection with different types of blades, there are different configurations: with a straight blade (type B), rotary (type D), spherical (type K) and hemispherical (type E, E1). Road and leveling work is carried out using rotary blades. Spherical is suitable for working with bulk materials. Hemispherical is more convenient to use than straight due to its shape.

Engine
The engine of the B10M bulldozer has become more powerful than that of the B170. At the same time, fuel consumption has been reduced. The engine can be started in two ways: an electric starter system or a special starting mechanism.

Transmission
The ChTZ tractor has two types of transmission. In one case, the gearbox is mechanical, reversible, designed for eight gears. The rotating device is controlled using a hydraulic server. And in the other there is a hydromechanical gearbox, planetary type, three speeds.
Control
For quick and smooth cornering, the design consists of side clutches that are constantly closed. Metal-ceramic discs. Band type brakes, wear-resistant.
Chassis system
The trolley has a three-point suspension and a sprung balance beam. The tracks are articulated and compacted.
Hydraulic system
The system is separate with a gear-type hydraulic pump with a capacity of 180 l/min. Equipped with a three-spool four-position hydraulic valve of type P160.
Operator's cabin
