Power is taken from the engine to drive equipment from the external traction of the motor pulley. The walk-behind tractor uses a reliable multi-stage gear reducer. The Plowman MKM 3 model belongs to the “light” category because it has a relatively low weight. At the same time, the equipment is characterized by zero weight distribution (the center of gravity of the device is above the output shaft). Thanks to this, you have to exert little effort to control the walk-behind tractor, and the bulk of the weight falls on the cutters or wheels. checking oil and fuel levels;
operation without load with a systematic increase in power from 2500 to 3600 rpm (duration 30 minutes);
work with a load of 30% (20 minutes);
work with a load of 60% (10 minutes);
operation at average power (no more than 65% of the maximum) at various speeds and with all available equipment (about 8-9 hours).

Overloading the walk-behind tractor during the running-in period is not allowed. After completing the process, it is necessary to perform maintenance of the equipment.

General structure of the walk-behind tractor

Light agricultural machinery of the Plowman brand belongs to the category of classic walk-behind tractors. The machine is designed for long-term operation in conditions of low and high temperatures, regardless of the level of humidity and the presence of precipitation. The manufacturer focused on strength and reliability, reducing the electronic component to a minimum.

The unit consists of the following parts and mechanisms:

Iron frame. Made from reinforced steel angle treated with an anti-corrosion compound. All welds are checked with special equipment, which eliminates the possibility of defects.
Motor. The product is equipped with a reliable Lander engine, which operates even on low-quality fuel and oil. An effective cooling system prevents the piston group from overheating at extremely high temperatures. The engine is started by a manual starter with a return cam mechanism.
Transmission. Consists of a gear reducer and a belt drive. Gear shifting is carried out using steel cables and levers located on the steering column. The robust housing protects the gearshift system from impacts and damage.
Chassis. Wide and heavy wheels are mounted on a strong axle. The special shape of the tread ensures good contact with the ground and autonomous cleaning of dirt.

The controls are located on the steering column and are within reach. The steering column is adjustable in two planes, which ensures its precise adjustment to the operator's build.

Plowman walk-behind tractors are produced in Russia. The company began its activities in 1988 under a different name; the current name appeared in 1993.

The company is a manufacturer of various attachments for such well-known companies as Patriot, Salyut, Neva, Pubert, Hitachi, Grillo and others. Mobile K has its own plant in the city of Gagarin (Russian Federation, Smolensk region).

The company is also known for the distribution of engines from foreign manufacturers, garden equipment, and is the official supplier of Briggs & Stratton and Murray to Russia (since 2014).

The company carries out service activities at the plant: there is a hardware and attachments store on site, as well as a service center.

Currently, there are three popular models of Plowman gasoline walk-behind tractors.

Modifications of the Plowman walk-behind tractor:
