The majority of commercial vehicles are equipped with internal combustion engines running on diesel fuel. Let's talk about her.
Established diesel fuel consumption rates are calculated for serviceable engines. Regulatory requirements take into account the operating conditions of the vehicle or generator: ambient temperature, road surface condition and other factors. The diesel fuel consumption standards established by Order of the Ministry of Transport No. AM-23-r dated March 14, 2008 allow you to correctly write off fuel and lubricants from the enterprise’s warehouse.
The documentation provides examples of the most common cars in Russia. The regulation covers medium-duty trucks and buses. Here you can find mainline road trains and vehicles for transporting passengers. Another section presents truck chassis with installed superstructures, as well as special vehicles. UAZ-390945 has a frame design. At the rear of the frame there is a metal body with folding sides. The front side is rigidly fixed to the platform. The rear and side walls fold down. This allows loading from three sides. To protect the cargo from precipitation and wind when driving, the manufacturer equipped the car body with an awning. It is mounted on a specialized metal frame.
The UAZ 390945 car has two drive axles. The rear axle is constantly engaged. The front one is connected forcibly if necessary. Connection is made using a lever located in the cab.

When calculating fuel costs, the following methods are used:
- Based on the formulas and data contained in the previously approved order AM-23r (published by the Ministry of Transport in March 2008 and revised several times, the latest edition was published on September 20, 2018).
- In accordance with the official gasoline or diesel fuel consumption data declared by the vehicle manufacturer. To correctly and quickly calculate fuel costs, an online calculator is used, which takes into account the following parameters:
- car model and manufacturer;
- distance traveled;
- operating mode taking into account altitude (as altitude increases, the air becomes thinner, which leads to increased fuel costs);
- type of settlement in which the car was operated (gradation based on the number of inhabitants);
- seasonality (taken into account only when driving in winter);
- operating mode taking into account the number of stops;
- service life (taking into account the age and mileage of the car).

UAZ fuel consumption rates are necessary for the work of ATP and organizations related to the vehicle management and control system, individual entrepreneurs (IE) using automotive equipment and special rolling stock on the chassis of UAZ vehicles to calculate the standard value of UAZ fuel consumption rates at the place of consumption, for maintaining statistical and economic reporting.
New brands of vehicles in the order of the Ministry of Transport on fuel consumption standards
The regulatory document includes:
- new modifications of Lada brand cars (for example, Granta, Vesta or X-Ray);
- VAZ cars created in collaboration with the Renault concern (Largus models, which differ in the number of passenger seats and permissible load).
Additional modifications of Patriot SUVs from the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant and cars from foreign manufacturers have appeared, which are assembled on the territory of the Russian Federation or imported from abroad. At the same time, the order preserved outdated vehicles that continue to be used by small fleets. If there is a need to update the current limits at the enterprise, then an order is issued signed by the head of the company, which lists the car models indicating the estimated fuel consumption.
