  • for small-sized ones, with a tractive effort of up to 0.6 tons. Used in gardening to move small volumes of loose materials.
  • light, with a capacity of 0.6 to 3 tons.

Bulldozer DZ-42 (VgTZ DZ-42) is a self-propelled earth-moving and transport device moving on caterpillar tracks. This model became widespread in the USSR.

The DZ-42 could carry out leveling work and move bulk material; using this powerful machine in the USSR, earthen embankments were erected and layers of soil were removed.

The bulldozer was produced at the Volgograd Tractor Plant. It is based on the most popular model DT-75. The developers did a great job when creating the DZ-42, endowing it with a lot of additional capabilities and unique characteristics.

These included the ability to move bulk cargo. Specialized equipment allowed the DZ-42 to dig ditches, trenches, and clear roads of dirt and snow.

The earth-moving and transport device on bulldozers of this model has found application in the areas of public utilities, industry and agriculture.

The basic version of the DZ-42 industrial modification was equipped with various types of blades: fixed and rotary blades.

  • Model DZ-42T, which is a peat modification of the bulldozer. It has a larger support area due to increased track width and ground clearance. Thanks to its high ground clearance (up to 37 cm), the bulldozer can easily overcome deep ruts, debris in the forest and other obstacles. Each caterpillar consists of 42 links equipped with special lugs. These features of the chassis allow the DZ-42T to be used for work in wetlands and in conditions of soil mobility. The bulldozer does not fall into unstable soil during operation.
