Solution

The most popular transport in the village today is a tractor. However, its use is sometimes impossible, this is especially true for small areas where it is quite difficult to turn around without destroying the previously completed work. And tillage using a tractor can be economically ineffective.

That is why today the most commonly used walk-behind tractor is offered for sale by many manufacturers. Among others, Motor Sich should be highlighted. But to choose a specific model, you need to familiarize yourself not only with reviews, but also with technical characteristics.

The main advantages of Motor Sich walk-behind tractors

  • high-quality assembly, factory testing before release for sale;
  • high quality materials;
  • excellent performance characteristics;
  • powerful engines (available in models with gasoline and diesel engines);
  • a huge range of attachments;
  • quick repair capability, constant availability of spare parts for walk-behind tractors;

Run-in

Before full operation, the Sich walk-behind tractor must be run in. This will extend the life of the equipment and ensure good performance. Before the procedure, you should tighten the bolts, create the required tire pressure and fill the device. When running in, it is important to find out which engine is in the walk-behind tractor. Some nuances of the process will depend on this. During the break-in process, the equipment should be operated in a gentle mode for the first 8-10 hours of operation. Do not turn on full power and strain the device too much. Again, the following rules must be observed:

  • Check the oil level before each start of the engine. If necessary, it should be topped up;
  • First, you need to let the walk-behind tractor run at medium speeds, and then gradually increase them. It is better to try all gears to test the features of the motor. At this stage, not only running-in is carried out, but also the selection of the optimal position;
  • After testing the gears, you should check the functional parameters of the device. Here it is advisable to try cultivation, tillage and transportation of goods. All work should be performed with medium loads.

Upon completion of the break-in, you should check the main components and change the oil.

Sich walk-behind tractors have their pros and cons. Advantages of technology:

  • high ground clearance, allowing you to work on rough and uneven terrain;
  • a sufficient number of gears to ensure smooth operation and optimal fuel consumption;
  • a wide range of mounted and trailed equipment available for the walk-behind tractor;
  • the presence of a power take-off shaft;
  • adjustable track width;
  • flange mounting of the engine to the transmission;
  • adjustable steering column (vertically and horizontally);
  • conveniently located control levers.

Disadvantages of Sich walk-behind tractors:

  • low maneuverability. The device has a large rotation angle, so in small areas it is very problematic to cultivate the land with its help;
  • noisy engine (Ukrainian versions). For Chinese units, this problem is not relevant;
  • large mass. It is very difficult to transport a walk-behind tractor, but for cultivating the soil the extra kilos are a plus;
  • ill-conceived design of the standard cutter. This device has a small working width, which is why a lot of fuel is consumed for tillage;
  • The quality and cost of spare parts raises many questions.

Despite the existing shortcomings, Sich walk-behind tractors are among the most popular models in their segment. Due to their versatility, they allow you to cope with a variety of tasks, and the affordable cost forces many to choose this technique.

Models of Motor Sich walk-behind tractors

Currently, the Motor Sich model range is quite extensive. All models are produced at the plant in Zaporozhye, are tested before going on sale, are equipped with the best engines and are made from proven high-quality materials. Specifications

Motor Sich agricultural units go on sale assembled. As we have already said, different models have different power levels and, accordingly, are suitable for a different range of tasks in the conditions intended for them. Before moving on to an overview of the distinctive features of different models, let us outline the similarities in their technical characteristics:

  • ground clearance height - 24 cm, a sufficiently large space for efficient operation of equipment on soils with uneven surfaces;
  • attachments are fastened in the area of the power take-off shaft, due to which the unit has increased functionality;
  • the wheels have a differential, which makes the unit highly maneuverable;
  • The gearbox supports 4 forward speeds and 2 reverse.

The main differences between the models are their operating weight and power plants.

Motoblocks of this model have a power of 6 hp. Engines for the gasoline version are manufactured at the same plant where the devices themselves are assembled. Diesel engines are equipped with Weima engines. This model is considered more reliable. The weight of the unit is 215 kg. There is also an improved 6-DE model, equipped with both a manual and electric starter, making it easier to start in harsh winter conditions. The weight of this model is 235 kg.

The Motor Sich MB 8 walk-behind tractor is equipped with a gasoline engine and has a power of 8 hp. The weight of the unit is 217 kg. There is also an improved model 8-E, equipped with an electric starter, electric battery and headlight, its weight excluding fuel is 230 kg.

As can already be seen from the model indices, the number in them corresponds to the engine power. MB 9 has a power of 9 hp. and is equipped with a Wiema 17F/P four-stroke engine. An improved model MB-9E, equipped with an electric starter, is also presented. In addition, this model has a footrest for fixing the unit while warming up or in other cases when it is necessary to position the device on a horizontal surface. There is also a diesel version - MB-9DE, which is more economical and durable.

MB 13E

This is the most powerful unit in the entire line of walk-behind tractors of the brand - its power is 13 hp. The device is equipped with a Wiema motor and an electric starter.

Attachment overview

There is a wide range of attachments for Motor Sich walk-behind tractors. This equipment is also suitable for other heavy walk-behind tractors with power from 6 hp. and more. Further in the review we will dwell in more detail on each type of device, their types, recommended devices and methods of their operation.

Milling cutters

Milling cutters for Motor Sich are included in the delivery package and are assembled by the owner himself. The assembly process of the cutters is described in detail in the instructions for the unit. Follow safety rules when assembling, do not work without protective gloves. The cutters are installed on the axis of the walk-behind tractor, in the place where the wheels are installed. Before fixing the cutters, the wheels are removed. It is allowed to mount not all knives, but only several assembled cutters - this is how the width of cultivation is adjusted.

Milling cultivator "Motor Sich KF-2V"

Motor Sich walk-behind tractors can also work with a solid rototiller. To install such a cutter, the walk-behind tractor must have a PTO and (preferably) a power of 5.5 horsepower. Such characteristics will allow you to operate the cutter without harm to the engine at full power. The manufacturing company offers a special rotary cutter or milling cultivator. This attachment is used for inter-row work, fluffing up the soil, and cutting weeds.

When working with a cutter, make sure that the soil is not clogged with stones. All large and medium-sized stones, debris, and dry branches must be removed from the site. The soil tiller from Motor Sich has a productivity of 0.07 ha. per hour, the working width is adjustable to 47, 60 or 71 cm. The average processing depth is 12-14 cm, which is a sufficient parameter for destroying weeds and loosening the soil for further sowing.

Adapter, trailer

An example of adapters from Motor Sich, suitable for all models of walk-behind tractors: Motor Sich AD-2V, AD-3V (they differ in load capacity). AD-3V has a load capacity of no more than 350 kg, AD-2V is designed for 320 kg. The adapters are equipped with soft seats; on the AD-3V model there is no additional trolley, only a seat is present. Model 2B is also equipped with a trolley with lowered sides for easy transportation of goods.

Trailer for walk-behind tractor - Motor Sich TS-1, load capacity 350 kg, step, hitch for attaching to equipment. Used for household and municipal transportation.

Mower

The manufacturer produces three types of mowers for the Motor Sich walk-behind tractor:

  • mowing unit KA-1V (working width 0.8 meters, productivity 0.16 ha per hour),
  • mowing unit KA-3S (working width 1000 mm, productivity 0.2 ha per hour),
  • mower for small areas, used for making hay for livestock (cutting width 1000 mm, productivity 0.2 ha per hour).

MB-8 (E)

Another model of a walk-behind tractor produced by Motor Sich. It should be noted right away that the MB-8E device is a complete analogue of the MB-8, only in addition it has a starter and a headlight.

  • 8-horsepower gasoline engine (four-stroke, one cylinder);
  • 380 rpm – motor speed;
  • processing depth – up to 20 cm;
  • ground clearance is 24 cm;
  • 4 forward and 2 reverse gears: forward speed is 16 km/h, reverse – 4 km/h;
  • differential lock;
  • track width is adjustable;
  • PTO;
  • weight – 260 kg.

Reviews

It should be noted that, of course, Motor Sich walk-behind tractors are not the undisputed leaders of this market among the CIS countries, but they are quite successful in their own country. It is safe to say that the models are much more reliable than the models from China. In addition, the brand is of great importance when choosing. After all, the 100-year history of the enterprise, which also has extensive experience in the production of aircraft engines, does its job. And many owners are satisfied with this purchase, which is confirmed by positive reviews.
