On September 7, the opening of an exhibition entitled “Lamborghini. A Legend of Design” took place in the new space of the Erarta Museum.
The story of the famous Italian brand and those who made it world famous. The exhibition surprises with the variety of exhibits, ranging from old photos from production and drawings of the first engines, which make it possible to imagine the process of creating a car, to modern powerful engines and, of course, the cars themselves.
True to its title, “Legend of Design,” the exhibition also presents original sketches by designers Marcello Gandini and Mitya Borkert, the current chief designer, scaled-down models of cars that are made to imagine what the original would be like, and the now benchmark automotive design Miura.

Enzo Ferrari worked in the same field and after the war, Lamborghini turned his passion into work and began building mechanisms. At first he produced tractors, then moved on to manufacturing unusual engines. In 1963, he, a man who loved cars, said: “I will build a better car than all the others.”
The exhibition just shows that Lamborghini succeeded. Now the models of this brand can be considered works of art, and some of them are presented in the exhibition. Such as, for example, the Lamborghini Miura, the cost of which now ranges from 2 to 2.5 million euros. And, as Signor Guini notes, it will only grow. There is also a new model, one of the most exclusive cars in the world, released in honor of the centenary of Ferruccio Lamborghini - Lamborghini Centenario, the perfect combination of beauty and power. For the first time in Russia it will be presented at this exhibition.
The part of Ferruccio’s biography related to the participation of his cars in racing did not go unnoticed. Despite the fact that he made it clear that he did not want to make cars for racing or support racing teams, in modern history Lamborghini participates in racing, and this is part of the exhibition.

The premiere of the Gallardo type L supercar took place at the Geneva Motor Show in March of this year. The name Gallardo, traditionally for Lamborghini, whose logo is a golden bull on a black background, refers to bullfighting. The cylinder camber angle was increased from the traditional 72 to 90, which made it possible to reduce the height of the engine and lower the center of gravity of the car. The equipment includes inch alloy wheels, an electronically controlled rear spoiler, hand-trimmed Alcantara and genuine leather trim, separate climate control and much more.
This modification sold out in a limited number of copies. All cars are two-tone, with the bumpers, engine cover outline, roof and exterior mirrors always black. Other body parts can be yellow, green, orange, gray. Gallardo SE differs from the base model by all-wheel drive, the latest safety systems and a rearview camera, necessary when parking. The Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year, features a new design and a unique system for folding the fabric top under the engine compartment lid.
The folding mechanism is easy to operate and is controlled by two buttons on the front panel. The design was created in Lamborghini Centro Style. The almost flat engine compartment lid is decorated only with narrow air outlet slots. The rear window acts as an aerodynamic screen; it is electrically operated and rises automatically, but can be lowered at the touch of a button.

The main motive for creating the company was the conflict between Ferruccio Lamborghini and the equally famous Enzo Ferrari. The first criticized his friend Ferrari's approach to the business, namely, he proposed to improve the transmission, but was ignored by his friend. “How can someone who makes tractors teach me?” Lamborghini returned to the factory, disassembled the transmission in his Ferrari 250 GT and discovered that many of the parts were made by the same manufacturer as Lamborghini tractors. He found a suitable replacement in his warehouses, and after assembly the problem was solved. After that, he began creating his own sports cars, expanding the previous company.
During the 70s, many new models were created, the company became strong and self-sufficient, and yet the crisis forced Ferruccio to resell the company to his investors.
Design and operating features
The Belarus 320 has a 4 by 4 wheel arrangement, with the rear wheels being noticeably larger than the front ones. The operator's cabin is located in the rear part of the machine, the hood covering the main components is in the front part. The drive of the equipment is distributed to all wheels, due to which the model’s capabilities during towing or difficult weather conditions are increased.
The chassis is represented by guides, driving front and rear wheels. a specialized mechanism allows you to change the track width.
The Belarus 320 transmission is a manual gearbox with 24 gears (16 forward, 8 reverse). The box includes a reduction gearbox that provides a large number of speeds. Selecting and switching gearbox modes is only permitted when the engine is not running and the tractor is stopped. A dry single-disc friction clutch is used as a clutch.
The portal-type front axle is driven and includes 3 parts. It is characterized by a free-running ratchet mechanism and self-locking differential. It is mounted on the half-frame and stops working after the clutch stops. The rear axle serves to transmit power from the power plant through a 2-speed drive. This element is composite and has a forced differential lock.
The main brakes of the equipment are separate disc brakes for the right and left wheels (they operate in oil). Parking brakes are primary brakes secured by a separate lever.
The Belarus 320 is equipped with a separate aggregate hydraulic system, combined with a hydraulic steering system. It is used to work with hydraulic, mounted and semi-mounted devices. The tractor is coupled with additional equipment and machines using specialized towing devices. The maximum load capacity of the lower links is 750 kgf, the pump capacity is 16 l/min.
The machine is controlled using hydrostatic equipment. The operator can adjust the steering wheel position in height and tilt. The system's hydraulic pump is mounted on the motor, which makes it easier to service.
The electrical component is represented by a 630 W generator, an 88 Ah battery and a starting mechanism with a starter.
The base of the operator's cabin is mounted on the frame of the tractor. The installation is carried out using vibration-isolating elements, which increases comfort in the cabin. The operator's cabin is sealed and equipped with a specialized protective awning-frame or safety bar.
The layout of the operator's cabin is determined by the configuration of the machine. In the basic version, the model is equipped with an operator’s workplace with adjustments for location and weight, a sun visor, a first aid kit, rear-view mirrors and an informative dashboard. Heating and ventilation systems are installed in the cabin. The steering has a hydraulic booster, making the driver's work easier. The major organs are found together in functional areas. The brake and clutch control pedals are installed in an area convenient for the operator. To the right of the driver are the hydraulic system controls.
The following functional equipment is offered for the Belarus 320 model:
- pneumatic brake drive for trailer;
- front power take-off shaft;
- additional weights for the front, providing improved traction and stability;
- towing fork for working with a trailer;
- front suspension system.
Belarus 320 is considered one of the most reliable small class tractors. However, before full operation, it is recommended to perform the following operations:
- check the fastening of elements and parts (especially steering, alarm, chassis, FDA, lighting devices and transmission);
- make sure that the hydraulic lifting system is working correctly. After checking the oil level in the tank, inspect the attachment points of trailers and attachments;
- check the level of antifreeze liquid in the cooling system (should be at the maximum level - the corresponding mark on the tank);
- check the presence of protective covers on the rotating elements.
Device
The MTZ-320 Belarus mini-tractor is made as standard. Rear position of the cabin, wheelbase of different radii and a frame consisting of semi-frames. But despite the simplicity of the design, the tractor deserves to be examined in more detail.

Overall dimensions 3220x1550x2150 mm are optimal for a tractor with such power characteristics. The front wheel track is adjustable within 1260-1410 mm, and the rear wheel track is 1250-1400 mm. With a minimum track, a turning radius of 3.7 m is achieved.
Cabin
Depending on the modification, the MTZ-320 Belarus mini-tractor can be produced with a single-seat all-metal cabin or with a hinged awning reinforced with a safety cage.
The metal cabin has good sound insulation and noise protection. Heating and air conditioning systems are installed. The driver's seat and steering column can change their configuration, depending on the preferences of the tractor driver.
The steering is hydrostatic. The control system for attachments is located on the dashboard. The cabin has panoramic glazing and fully complies with international quality standards.
All windows open, and a forced ventilation system has been introduced to maintain working comfort.

How did it all begin?
Ferruccio Lamborghini was a big fan of sports cars, especially Ferraris. There is an interesting story that Ferruccio Lamborghini quarreled with Enzo Ferrari over the clutch installed on a Ferrari. Lamborghini tractors had the same clutch, but better and more reliable than Ferrari. After this incident, Lamborghin decided to create his own car much better than Ferrari. In 1963, Lombarghini created the Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini SpA factory in the village of Santa Agata, not far from the Ferrari factory, and invited former Ferrari engineers Gianpaolo Dallara and Bob Wallace to work.
