In accordance with current regulations, non-standard loads are those with dimensions of 255 x 400 x 2000 (Width x Height x Length in cm) and a weight of 38 tons.

A super-heavy, or modular, trawl can be increased both in width and in length: the installation of additional platforms is carried out when the cargo is of gigantic dimensions and cannot be divided into parts.

Registration of transportation

Standard rules apply to limit noise and emission standards. The route is approved by the territorial road department. The application indicates the loading/unloading addresses, expected timing, loading height and wheel configuration of the trawl.

• general diagram of the vehicle along with the load installed on the platform;
• registration documents for special equipment (tractor and semi-trailer);
• a copy of the permit if international category transportation is carried out;
• a receipt confirming payment of the state fee.

The processing time ranges from 3 to 30 working days. Documents are submitted in person, sent by mail, or use the standard tools of the corresponding section of the State Services portal. The kit is assigned an identification number upon registration. According to current legislation, the period for issuing a permit/refusal is limited to 15 days. However, there is no indication of liability for violation of deadlines. You are not allowed to change the agreed route yourself.

Types of loading devices

Installation of the transported cargo can be carried out using two types of structures. The first design involves the presence of a lowering platform made in the form of a ramp. Most often they are equipped with rear-loading trawls, but there are exceptions in the form of front-loading trailers.

This type of installation structure is practically not found in the modern world. The fact is that its main inconvenience is that the angle of inclination is too large, at which it is quite difficult to load. Even asphalt pavers and rollers were not always able to drive onto the platform on their own.

The “problematic” design was replaced by trawls with ramps - retractable “legs” of considerable length, providing the required level of inclination for easy access of special equipment to the platform. The ramp ramp is controlled using a hydraulic drive.

Trawls are classified according to the type of suspension:

1. Spring (mechanical). These types of suspensions are almost never found nowadays, although previously they were installed in both low-bed and high-bed trailers. They offer cheap maintenance and a long service life, but a rigid mechanical suspension cannot guarantee complete safety of the cargo.
2. Pneumatic (air). These types of suspensions are the most common option in semi-trailers. They guarantee reliability, comfort and a smooth ride. Features of cargo transportation by trawl

When using a trawl semi-trailer, you must comply with the rules for transporting oversized cargo.
