The JCB JS 260 single-bucket crawler excavator has an ergonomic and distinctive cab, equipped with a fully adjustable operator's seat on air suspension, optimal length control levers, and truly excellent all-round visibility. The huge door provides easy access to the cabin, and its completely flat floor makes it easy to clean. The cabin is equipped with an efficient fan and a powerful heater that prevents the windshield from fogging up. For all this, 8 deflectors are responsible, located to ensure ideal working conditions. Air conditioning or climate control with refrigerated compartment is available as an option. The player and radio with digital tuner are installed in the roof panel for maximum protection. A conveniently located radio mute button is located on the lower console. A 12V socket and mobile phone holder are located on the right console. The step light can be turned on while on the ground and stays on for five minutes or until turned off, making it easier for the operator to enter the cab at night. The lower windows are simply and securely placed on the upper glass frame, while the entire windshield is supported by a pneumatic strut, which ensures quick and convenient operation. A roller sunshade reduces glare on the windshield or roof glass. The absence of obstructions provides excellent visibility to both tracks, in particular to the edge of the front right track. The low, streamlined engine hood provides excellent rear visibility.
The JS 260 is equipped with a unique optional Plexus hydraulic oil filtration system with a hydraulic fluid fineness of 1.5 microns, which significantly improves system reliability, increasing filter life by 1000 m/h and extending oil change life up to 5000 m/h. This in turn makes the JS 260 easier to maintain while ensuring better component life.
