Motoblock Tselina MB-600. Review, characteristics, reviews

Main characteristics

Initially, the Tselina product line included only cultivators. Now the brand offers a wide range of diverse equipment with a power of 6-9 hp. Tselina walk-behind tractors are in steady demand among Russians. At the Academy of Tools enterprise, only the assembly and production of individual device components takes place. Most of the parts for walk-behind tractors (transmission, wheels, main elements, wheels) are supplied from China, where they are produced at trusted enterprises. Almost the entire model range is equipped with Lifan engines, which are not inferior in reliability and quality to their Japanese and European counterparts. The range of Chinese motors is very wide, and allows the production of walk-behind tractors of varied power.

The Tselina family does not include professional models with increased power and service life, which are in demand in public utilities and among farmers. The technology simply does not have enough strength to perform difficult tasks. These models are intended for household plots and small plots. Moreover, walk-behind tractors can be used in a variety of directions. The optimal area for this machine would be a plot of up to 1 hectare. When choosing a walk-behind tractor, one of the most important indicators is reliability. The Tselina models are fine with this. Problems with technology occur extremely rarely. The walk-behind tractor is very comfortable to operate and produces virtually no vibration or noise.

Models of the family differ in power and other parameters. The parameters are “encrypted” in the name of the equipment, and only numbers can change. “MB” means “walk-behind tractor”, “MK” means “motor-cultivator”. The appearance of the equipment is very attractive - a bright yellow smooth body with a logo on the side. It is almost impossible to confuse Tselina with products from other brands.

Application and device

Do not overload the unit, the permissible weight for transportation in a trailer or trolley is no more than 350 kg, also take into account the weight of the equipment itself. When working with mounted structures, make sure that the walk-behind tractor has enough power to connect them.

Features of the Tselina MB-600 model:

  • convenient location of all key components - quick access to the fuel tank and engine;
  • power 6.5 horsepower - sufficient for domestic use in gardens, cottages, small fields;
  • the cylinder liner is made of cast iron;
  • engine valves have an overhead location;
  • stable, wide wheels that increase the maneuverability of the unit;
  • presence of PTO;
  • steering wheel with height adjustment;
  • ease of transportation: can be disassembled and transported in the trunk of a regular car;
  • a large list of attachments: the walk-behind tractor works with a mower, a feed crusher, and can also be used as auxiliary equipment in public utilities, for example, for removing snow or sweeping the yard.

Device

The design of Tselina walk-behind tractors is classic with the following main components:

Gearbox

On Tselina models, 2 types of gearboxes are used:

  • The chain type is less common and is an improved version of the MB.01.000.1-01 gearbox. The chain reducer is produced according to Russian specifications in China. The design used was actively used on walk-behind tractors produced in the 80s of the last century. After noticeable modernization, it continues to be used on modern modifications of Tselina equipment;
  • The gear one is made according to the specifications from the original gearbox of the Salyut 5 walk-behind tractor. In comparison with the element used in Tselina models, the original gearbox has a stronger body, since it is made of casting. The gear reducer of the Perm brand is again distinguished by a significant service life due to the stiffening ribs present in its design. They give the element increased strength. The service life of this gearbox is about 3000 hours. The tight fit of the components and increased rigidity of the gearbox allow you to work for a long time at peak loads.

Transmission

The element is manufactured in China. There are 2 types of clutch between the gearbox and the motor pulley:

  • a multi-disc clutch in an oil bath is used on most modifications of Tselina walk-behind tractors. This type is more accepting and reliable. However, in this case it will be impossible to carry out repairs in the field (the help of a specialist will be required);
  • V-belt transmission is a cheap and reliable system that even an inexperienced walk-behind tractor owner can repair. When working, special equipment with a belt drive “jumps” less and is more controllable.

Engine

Almost all Tselina walk-behind tractors use Chinese Lifan motors, combining affordability and reliability.

Wheels

Produced in China.

Walk-behind tractor maintenance

To extend the service life of the device, you need to fill it with Ravenol oil and 92 grade gasoline. Before starting, it is important to check the level of technical fluids. Application is allowed at air temperatures from -5 to +35 ˚С.

Note: it is necessary to carry out timely maintenance of the Tselina MB-600 walk-behind tractor. The first scheduled one is after break-in, and then every 50 engine hours.

Review of attachments for the Salyut 100 walk-behind tractor

Attachments

Tselina walk-behind tractors work with a large number of Perm-made attachments. again, the equipment can be used with equipment from other brands, but here you need to carefully examine the mounting points. The most popular types of attachments:

  • wheel hub extensions;
  • adapters and various couplings;
  • Tselina milling cutter is the main equipment used with this technique. What distinguishes it from analogues is the high quality of work. When cultivating the soil at low speeds, the roots of the weeds remain on the cutters and are not cut. Due to this, most of the rhizomes can be pulled out of the ground. The manufacturer offers several types of Celina cutters;
  • potato digger;
  • plow;
  • cart.

Almost no active equipment is produced under the Tselina brand. The only available models are the SP-70 and SP-56 snow blowers.

Features of Tselina walk-behind tractors:

  • wide wheels with a diameter of 180 mm, increasing the maneuverability of the equipment;
  • rotating steering column with the ability to adjust in the horizontal and vertical planes;
  • wide range of models;
  • reinforced gearbox;
  • upgraded gear shift lever;
  • possibility of using attachments from other domestic manufacturers;
  • significant engine life - more than 3000 hours;
  • wide mudguards and fenders provide additional protection for equipment;
  • many service points for walk-behind tractors, which are located not only in Perm, but also in other Russian cities;
  • possibility of equipping with a headlight, battery and electric start.

Run-in

After purchasing a new or used walk-behind tractor, it is necessary to run it in. Tselin models are again no exception, since this process is very important and ensures long-term operation of the equipment. Run-in is operation in a gentle mode, during which the main elements of the gearbox, gearbox and engine are ground in. It is important to select the correct load for the walk-behind tractor (indicated in the instructions). Usually the 50/50 rule (half of the maximum parameters) is applied. Running in without oil in the crankcase is prohibited. The first start-up should be done extremely carefully. First, you should simply watch the operation of the walk-behind tractor, and if no visible deviations were noticed, then you can proceed to the active break-in phase (operation at medium speeds). The duration of the process is usually 7-10 hours. After break-in, maintenance must be performed.

Tselina walk-behind tractors are considered one of the most popular in Russia. Many users appreciated their durability and reliability. Combined with an affordable price, these parameters make the equipment an indispensable assistant for any owner of a small plot.

Features of application

When working with the unit, you must adhere to certain operating rules, which are described in detail in the instructions, and also carry out timely maintenance of the machine.

The walk-behind tractor requires a break-in cycle at the beginning of its operation and after a long period of inactivity. Average fuel consumption is 1.6 l/h, despite the fact that the tank capacity is 3.6 liters.

According to the manufacturer’s recommendations, the walk-behind tractor should be filled with 92 gasoline and Ravinol oil. Before each start, the oil and fuel levels in the tanks must be checked. The temperature regime for which the unit is designed varies from -5 to +35 degrees.

Models

Tselina walk-behind tractors are divided into 3 large families: Tselina MB, Tselina diesel and Tselina NMB.

Celina MB

This family is equipped with gasoline units and includes the following models:

Reviews from Tselina Motoblock owners

  • I bought a Tselina NMB-901 walk-behind tractor in 2012. The special equipment is made of good metal and has a high-quality assembly. After the purchase I decided to try out the model. The run-in went great. I was pleased that there was no need to add oil, since this was done at the factory. All that remained was to add gasoline. Starting, however, required a lot of effort, since there is no easy start in Lifan engines. The engine was quite noisy at first, but after several hours of running in, the strong sound disappeared. We dug up about 8 acres in one day. Tselina NMB-901 works perfectly on any soil, the walk-behind tractor has enough power. Oil bath clutch improves performance and smoother operation. In 2014, I purchased a trailer and began hauling a variety of cargo. The walk-behind tractor coped with quite a lot of weight, but the turn occurred with a significant amplitude of deviation. The model did not cause any problems during operation - it was enough to change the oil once a season. I think the downside is that it’s a little complete – I didn’t receive any additional equipment when purchasing it.
  • operated the Tselina MB-601 model for 5 years. When buying it, I compared it with the Neva walk-behind tractor with a Honda engine. As a result, the choice fell on a more budget option. The “naked” Neva cost the same as the Tselina MB-601 with additional equipment. Initially, I wasn’t too pleased with the walk-behind tractor. It was difficult to cultivate heavy soil. As a result, I had to replace the wheels with lugs. However, failure awaited us here too - the special equipment often stopped and simply scraped the soil (there was not enough mass). I did not install additional weight on the walk-behind tractor, but replaced the wheels. As a result, I received greater productivity - Tselina MB-601 began to plow normally. At the same time, fuel consumption did not exceed 0.9 liters per hour. There were no other problems with the walk-behind tractor.
  • Over 3 years of working with the Tselina model, NMB-901 did not reveal any serious deficiencies. I operated the walk-behind tractor 8 months a year on a plot of 10 acres. It seemed a little heavy for me. For a small area with normal ground, it is better to choose a more compact and lighter model. In terms of cultivation, there is simply no equal to the Tselina NMB-901 model. I processed my small area very quickly. The walk-behind tractor is also suitable for transporting small loads. I used it together with a trolley, and the maximum load it transported weighed about 600 kg. The wheels of the walk-behind tractor are not very comfortable, which is why it often slides, and on slopes you can even roll over. Tselina NMB-901 has a Chinese Lifan engine, which worked surprisingly smoothly and efficiently. The unit ate domestic gasoline well. The walk-behind tractor is very good.
  • I used the Tselina NMB-601 model for about 1.5 years. I took it specifically for spring work. For me, this was my debut walk-behind tractor; I didn’t have much operating experience with this equipment, so I chose a budget model with good reviews. The run-in was carried out as responsibly as possible - 8 days for several hours. After that I changed the oil and spark plug. Over the next 1.5 years I didn’t touch the walk-behind tractor again - everything worked perfectly. Moreover, even intense exploitation was not scary for him. Daily transportation of a load of 500-600 kg and work in the garden were carried out easily. The engine always started, and I was pleased with the cross-country ability of the walk-behind tractor. On dry ground it was possible to reach speeds of up to 20 km/h. The disadvantages include oil leaks, which began in the third month of operation, and a breakage of the starter mounting bolt.
  • I had experience working with the Tselina MB-400D walk-behind tractor. The model is quite tolerable, but the diesel engine sometimes caused serious inconvenience. It is quite difficult to process virgin soil with its help; the model is not suitable for large areas either. Original wheels can only be used in summer. It is better to change the oil again, since it does not like frost. The main advantages of the model are low cost and highest efficiency (about 0.6-0.7 liters per hour of operation). I was left with mixed impressions from the work of the walk-behind tractor.
