Powerful and reliable tractors MTZ 80 and MTZ 82, models of the Minsk plant of the last Soviet five-year plans and their modern modifications continue to be used in agriculture to this day. The multifunctional tractor is equipped with front and rear linkages, which include hydraulic systems and power take-off mechanisms.

The industry offers serial versions of attachments, but farm mechanics use homemade manipulators, gaining savings in terms of maintainability and maintenance without specialized workshops.

The rear loader can be equipped with:

  • KUN devices, allowing the use of replaceable mechanisms, haylage rake modules, haystacks;
  • manipulator forks capable of moving large and voluminous loads (hay, silage);
  • devices with jaw grips for wood or land management work;
  • a bucket for collecting soil, crushed stone, and loose fractions;
  • telescopic retractable boom, load lifting hook.

How is the loader mounted on the rear linkage of the MTZ tractor constructed?

The standard equipment of the industrial version of the rear linkage includes:

  • lifting and sliding device equipped with a carriage;
  • booms with fastening mechanisms of working devices;
  • directly manipulators (blades, forks, buckets, rigging devices, jaw grips, and so on).

The MTZ rear-mounted loader is factory equipped with the following design:

  1. The manipulators are attached to two symmetrical posts.
  2. The spatial movement of the racks is carried out by means of two hydraulic cylinders, which determine the lifting angles of the vertical plane in two stages, 90-180 degrees (one hydraulic cylinder raises the boom, the second tilts the bucket).
  3. Hydraulic pressure is provided through high-strength certified hoses.
  4. The mobility of the structure is due to a system of brackets on bushings, where the counterweight is the weight of the tractor, the stand, and, if necessary, the front linkage with a blade.
  5. The rear mounted industrial loader is equipped with levers that adjust the position of the racks.

The image shows the equipment aggregated to the basic self-propelled chassis:

  • stand - 1;
  • hydraulic cylinder lifting the stele - 2;
  • support legs - 3;
  • lifting frame - 4;
  • hydraulics tipping the bucket (blade) - 5;
  • one of the attachments (bucket) - 6;
  • traction - 11.7;
  • sets of brackets - 14,10,8;
  • centering rod - 9;
  • pressure supply hoses - 13.12;
  • control levers - 17.15;
  • clamps - 16;
  • side bed - 18.

The advantage of licensed equipment is the relatively small mass of the unit with strength due to the use of steels and alloys that meet accepted state standards. The natural ratio of a quality product implies a high cost of the product. Savings are achieved through rational fuel consumption, since a homemade loader for the MTZ rear linkage will be heavier than its factory counterpart. Accordingly, fuel will be consumed when lifting a load, overcoming the weight of a self-mounted device.

Standard production cycle of a tractor with a manipulator:

  1. The tractor takes the working position, installs supports, and fixes the counterweights.
  2. The load is grabbed by the working tool (the rigging is secured to the boom).
  3. The suspended (lifted by equipment) cargo is moved to the place of shipment using equipment and a base chassis.
  4. Unloading is carried out by lowering the rigging and tipping the bucket.

Homemade loader for the rear linkage of a tractor

Farms in our country use their own welding machines and equipment when performing minor repair work. The high cost of popular models and the need to purchase components (sometimes during intensive agricultural work) forces tractor owners to make a loader for the MTZ rear linkage with their own hands.

Savings are achieved through:

  • the use of restored hydraulic cylinders dismantled from unusable devices (in assembled condition one, approximately, a meter, two up to 60 cm);
  • from various hydraulic models, they are selected according to power, boom length and typical moved weight;
  • manufacturing welded structures from existing material, the main thing is the thickness of the steel structures;
  • preservation in a single unit of existing disparate parts from different types of equipment that do not require standardization, piece, individual products, starting from bushings, ending with hinges, racks;
  • a sufficient number of developments on this topic (drawings, sketches, technological features of installation), distributed by proven information portals;
  • the work does not require high-tech specialized equipment, personal farming tools of peasant families (cutters, grinders, welding machines, wrenches, emery cloths);
  • buckets, forks, and rigging are also piecemeal, handicraft items, aggregated like a basic homemade loader on the rear linkage of a tractor.

How to make a homemade loader for the MTZ 80 rear linkage?

A homemade loader for the rear linkage of a tractor is usually made based on information about the brand, the level of wear, as well as the type and amount of work that the unit will perform on the farm. For MTZ, the most popular are the universal hitches “KUN”, the name of which stuck after the appearance of a successful modification of the stacker based on the basic chassis “Belarus” with removable, easily replaceable working elements.

Work should begin after carefully studying the drawings of the device, making additions depending on the type of tractor at your disposal, assembling the necessary parts, purchasing a metal cutting tool, and welding seams.

  • During the manufacture of a multifunctional loader, two solid metal frames shaped like frames are welded onto the rear linkage of the MTZ. Riveted joints are contrary to operating characteristics. The frame of the boom lift hydraulic supports is 60 centimeters wide and 1.5 meters high. It is made of 140 mm channel, 80 mm corners, welded shelves. The thickness of the metal should not exceed 6 millimeters. The structure is rigidly attached to the tractor using thick sheet steel.
  • The second frame of the tipping hydraulic cylinder is welded from angles with the same characteristics.
  • Fixed support joints are carefully welded and fastened with thick-walled pipes and steel angles. The load of a massive structure, bending force, torsion should not spoil the quality of the seams.
  • The next step is to attach 4 hinged cylinder mounts in the center of the main frame.
  • The arrow is made from blanks connected at an angle of thirty degrees. The long part (140 centimeters) of the future boom is attached near the lift cylinder. Next, on the shaft bushings (there are a sufficient number of types of corresponding bushings, for example, the linkage shaft T-80, T25-4628522, certified products should be taken), the second moving part is strengthened, connected to a small cylinder (for example, TS 100), the bucket support. The strength of connecting and fastening elements must comply with GOST. Otherwise, the bucket may break, resulting in destabilization of the tractor.

It should be taken into account that the weight of the tractor is less than the weight of the load with the boom and bucket. To prevent the tractor from tipping over, consideration should be given in advance to the creation of a counterweight, usually a rigid stop for the front linkage. Sometimes a container of crushed stone and concrete slabs are attached to the front part.

MTZ 80 is highly functional and can replace an excavator, bulldozer, or loader. The kun, consisting of two removable pins, lifts oversized objects above the ground and transports them over distances of about 200-300 meters, being indispensable in the field and warehouse of finished products.

Homemade rear-mounted loader MTZ 82

It is proposed to consider a three-cylinder boom configuration. The same metal structures are used as the base as for the MTZ 80. The largest cylinder lifts the bucket (standard 1 meter when assembled, 160 centimeters when extended). The two smaller ones rotate the bucket and are mounted on a hinge under each cylinder, which changes the angle of rotation of the boom.

The section of the boom attached to the base is 65% of the deployed length. Two curved parts are connected at three points (in the center and at the ends). The bucket is controlled by a lever using a hinge. The two lever arms are connected to a bucket on one side and two small cylinders on the other. The hinges make it easier to attach the central part, so they are mounted in one mass.

For a forklift with a working part reach of 1.8 meters, moving hay, bales, boxes, a bucket counterweight is also required.

A sufficient number of popular models of attachments are presented in agricultural machinery trade centers. The principle of replacing standardized parts is reliable and convenient. Possibilities for obtaining professional consultations and training are assumed, and features of operational characteristics are revealed. The financial capabilities of each owner determine the need for self-assembly, installation of a unit used as a loader on the rear linkage of a tractor, or its purchase.

An additional convenience is the complete set of working elements, which guarantees quick replacement of equipment that turns the loader on the rear linkage of the tractor into a device that moves rolled, bulk materials over short distances. An example would be cleaning roads, compacting heaps of rubble, sand, and manure. It is worth mentioning the need to collect mowed, dried grass, harrow the soil, and load body vehicles. Work related to digging pits and trenches. Jaw attachments are good for preparing rangefinder building materials: boards, logs, beams.

Classification

The most popular classification is by volume, according to which devices are divided as follows:

  • small. This category includes buckets with a volume of 0.2-0.55 cubic meters, used in loading equipment for low-power machines and mini-tractors. They are used when performing work in public utilities and agriculture with bulk materials, as well as for working with packaging materials;
  • average. This class includes buckets with a volume of 0.55-0.8 cubic meters, installed on middle-class tractors. Devices of this type are used when carrying out construction activities and work with soils. The design of buckets of this type can be different. Jaw buckets are in demand among consumers;
  • large volume, which includes devices with a volume of 0.8 cubic meters or more. Devices of this type are installed on high-power traction equipment. In most cases - for tractors used in construction and public utilities. One of the representatives of this type of bucket is the frontal one.

The MTZ bucket can be classified according to the type of work performed: loading, trenching, reinforced, standard, etc.
