Capabilities of the mini tractor Scout T-25
What do the manufacturers (or rather, assemblers) of this equipment say about its capabilities? Where can this mini tractor be used, and how much work can it handle?
Here's a little background information:
- Carry out a full range of work on seasonal soil cultivation for growing various crops on it, and further harvesting - on an area of up to 3 hectares.
- Harvesting hay and mowing grass – on an area of up to 7 hectares.
- Site cleaning and soil leveling – on an area of up to 3 hectares.
- Utility work: loading and unloading and digging trenches - up to 150 cubic meters per day.
- Moving cargo – over a total distance of up to 100 km per day.
The functionality of the Scout T-25 tractor is:
In agriculture, soil cultivation means plowing the land with a plow, including raising virgin soil; harrowing and disking, soil cultivation with a rotary cutter. During the sowing season: planting vegetable and grain crops - using a vegetable or grain seeder, potato planter, garlic planter, etc. During the cultivation of crops: their inter-row cultivation with hillers and weeders; spraying.
In agriculture, forage harvesting - mowing grass in meadows or garden plots with a rotary or segmental, front-mounted or rear-mounted mower. Harvesting hay, tedding the grass and collecting it into windrows with special tedder rakes.

For seasonal cleaning of territories - in the winter months with a rotary snow blower or a blade. In autumn or spring - with a front-mounted cleaning brush. Carrying out site planning using a front loader or blade.
At any time of the year - solving transport problems of transporting goods on roads and rough terrain, using a trailer truck. Carrying out work on transporting and loading bulk materials using a front loader. Digging trenches and holes with a mini excavator.
The Scout T-25 mini tractor of the new generation (Generation II) is currently being produced.
Previously, all mini tractors of the Scout line, including the Scout T-15, were produced in blue. The current generation of this equipment, Generation II (2019), is distinguished by an updated design, separate lensed headlights for low and high beams, rear LED optics, and improved controls for the minitractor. The Scouts' signature color is metallic gray.
Now, in the production of this equipment, a new, more advanced type of painting has begun to be used - powder, with preliminary sandblasting of the metal and application of primer. (Bolts and rubber elements are not painted).
The frame (chassis) of the T-25 minitractor, the main load-bearing element, is now being manufactured at a plant in St. Petersburg, from a single sheet of metal 5 millimeters thick. The strength of the frame of the new Scouts has become 35% higher than that of previous Chinese frames. The production technology consists of marking and rolling metal using modern numerically controlled machines.
The fuses provided in the on-board electrical network reliably protect the wiring from the consequences of a short circuit. This is clearly what the previous generation Scout T-25 lacked.
The new generation Scout T-25 minitractor comes with wheels of increased diameter with agricultural tread. The track is adjustable, the distance between the centers of the wheels can be set in the range from 1100 mm to 1510 mm. The front track is adjusted using a telescopic beam, and the rear track is adjusted by reinstalling the wheels along the long axle shafts. Thanks to this, all pressing agricultural tasks (planting, inter-row cultivation and harvesting) for growing possible crops can be performed more efficiently, and the stability of the mini-tractor is further increased when used with a front-end loader and a mini-excavator.
Reviews about mini tractors
When choosing a suitable mini tractor, the future owner asks quite logical questions:
- What are the technical characteristics of the equipment?
- How does a motor tractor behave in operation?
- What size plot can it handle?
- And most importantly, what difficulties and problems have tractor owners already encountered?
To make things easier, we collected reviews from our customers. In this section you can read opinions about mini tractors made in Russia and China, how they work with various attachments and what is the quality of this type of equipment.

Finally a mini tractor with a 140 cm track! This is exactly what the Scouts were missing! Now you can fully engage in potatoes!
Adjustable track, no need to remove the engine to drain the oil, separate distributor for front and rear), floating mode!
I ordered a mini tractor Scout T-15 via the Internet. The manager responded very quickly. Called me back 10 minutes later. The order was quickly placed and the tractor was delivered to me on the appointed day. The young driver Dima explained and showed everything very clearly. Well done. The minitractor started up right away. During the first hour of idling the engine, the antifreeze drain valve leaked, I had to carefully knock it out - the spring was rather weak. I am pleased with the new generator, even with the headlights on, the voltmeter shows 12.5 v, and with the lights off the battery has a good charge of 13.5 v. One note - I reduced the air pressure in the rear wheels to 0.8 atm and the cross-country ability on loose snow increased noticeably. It might make sense to make this pressure work. While I’m driving around the village, if any mistakes appear, I’ll post them. Thank you, Gardenshop.

Good day to all! Happy holiday! I recently sent a review about Scout T18. I don't see that it was published. Apparently I didn't like it. Anyway. Please answer this question (there is nothing in the instructions) the drive chain of the gearbox is stretched out (double-row). There is NO tensioner of any kind (like on a milling cutter - great!) What should I do? Remove a link? Then you won’t be able to pull it off. I called the Garden Shop. And what do you think they advised? Replace the chain. But the operating time is only 13 hours. Of these, 10 are running in while standing still! So how many chains do you need for a season? And where can I get them? It turns out for a garden of 10 acres -10 chains. Great!
Yes, chains stretch and break. It doesn't work for me for more than 12 hours
