The Acros 580 RSM 142 series, unlike its predecessor, is equipped exclusively with foreign units. The combine is equipped with a 4-stroke Cummins 6LTAA diesel engine with a liquid cooling system. The turbocharged engine has a V-shaped layout. In comparison with the Russian YaMZ 236BK engine, which is equipped with earlier versions of Akros combines, the Cummins 6LTAA is more economical (fuel consumption is 15% less). again, it surpasses its competitor in terms of technical characteristics. One of the features of the unit is a large power reserve (up to 20%) at low speeds (1000-1600 rpm). It includes a special Posi-Torque device that automatically tensions the belt as torque increases, which adds to the machine's performance. The operator adjusts the speed of rotation of the super drum from the operator's cab. The stone catcher prevents stones and foreign objects from entering the thresher. For gentle threshing of crops, a compact gearbox is used that reduces the rotation speed to 200-450 rpm. After leaving the threshing drum through the breaker beater, part of the grain mass is sent to a 5-key straw walker, which is responsible for releasing the residual grain. The released grain and small particles enter the cleaning system, and the long-straw part is sent to the outlet of the thresher. The correctness of the system settings is checked using grain loss sensors, signaling the percentage of threshed grain in the straw;
