Replacing and repairing the MAZ speedometer drive sensor

Device malfunctions occur due to an electrical circuit break.
Therefore, before dismantling the MAZ speedometer drive sensor, you first need to check the wires and contacts. Most often, a break occurs near the connector. You should also carefully check the insulation of the wires at the collector.

The device may fail when driving at high speeds. Plastic elements and contacts melt and a short circuit occurs.

Since the device itself is more difficult to check (you will have to disassemble the dashboard), it is better to pay attention to the DSA, perhaps the reason lies there.
  • The engine will work worse (uneven idle speed, power will jump, drop sharply, fuel consumption will increase significantly). Sometimes a tractor may simply start stalling for no reason.
  • Security systems and increased comfort may begin to work worse: power steering, ABS.
  • The visual integrity of the DSA plays an important role. The component location system is of an open type, so sometimes the assembly is affected by corrosion, which over time corrodes the elements of the microcircuit. Fragile contacts are most susceptible to corrosion.

  • To remove the device, use car keys of the required number;

Typically, the MAZ speedometer sensor is located on the rear of the gearbox housing. To remove the part, you must first lift the front of the car.
