- When working under maximum load, raise the boom to the maximum possible angle, use a winch without extending the telescopic boom.
- The CMU must be used strictly within the limits of its functionality.
- Attempts to use a crane device to drag a load across a work site, to overcome a machine getting stuck in the mud, or to lift the cargo platform itself with a crane winch lead to the occurrence of destructive loads and accidents with the manipulator boom.
- If the rules for lifting a load are violated, the load on the mechanisms and components increases sharply, which leads to breakdown of the crane.
- Watch the laying of the cable when reeling in - the wrong direction, overlaps, etc. lead to jerking, snagging, and tearing.
- Violation of the order of installation of the manipulator outriggers leads to the installation overturning. The use of standard supports for supports is mandatory. Please note that the maximum extended boom increases the possibility of tipping over. When the boom radius exceeds 9 m, the use of rear supports is mandatory.
- In conditions of negative temperatures, neglecting the rules for warming up the hydraulic system established by the manufacturer leads to failures in the operation of the hydraulic unit and creates the possibility of the load hanging in a dangerous position.
- Prolonged operation at high speeds of the hydraulic system pump leads to heating of the oil mixture. Overheating of the working fluid or its insufficient volume lead to failure of the crane manipulator hydraulic system.
- Regularly lubricate the boom roller bearings and support shafts.
- Do not delay the repair of “leaking” and “sweating” hydraulic cylinders and connections. At peak loads they will fail first.

Rules for caring for CMU Tadano
Each CMU model has its own recommendations for use and maintenance, but there are general rules and guidelines:
Before lifting the load :
- the car is installed on the surface of the ground or road strictly horizontally - checked with a level;
- for installation under outriggers, use only “standard” pads;
- the cargo platform cannot be lifted with a winch;
- when the load is located at a distance from the machine, do not pull it up;
- do not swing the lifted load on the hook ;
It is extremely important to monitor the overload sensor.
After loading ( before driving or parking ):
- fix the hook (hook) in one of 2 ways: use the “pressing hook” option from the remote control, or hook the hook to a sling fixed in the body;
- fix and check the immobility of the supports;
- when the vehicle is moving, the CMU drive must be turned off;
- ensure that the cable is wound correctly and do not allow twisting or overlap - this will lead to an accident and breakdown;
- When working with maximum load, you cannot extend the telescope; you must raise the boom to the maximum possible angle using a winch.
