• The brake system is a perfect mechanism. It is designed for maximum loads that arise when working in off-road or poor terrain conditions. The brakes consist of several discs that are cooled by immersion in an oil solution. They are protected from dust and dirt by a closed design.
• The articulated truck's cab offers unsurpassed levels of comfort. The ergonomic, centrally located seat and control design allow for long shifts.

• The hydraulic system of Volvo articulated dump trucks includes four engine pumps. They are equipped with an automatic load regulator. Another pump is mounted on the transfer case. In front of the driver's eyes is a monitor on which data from the weighing system is displayed. It records the weight of the cargo being transported for complete control of the payload. The display also receives information from the Contronics electronic system, which tracks the number of engine hours, fluid levels, reports deviations and reminds of scheduled maintenance.

The air filtration system maintains a clean cabin microclimate even in very dusty conditions. The heating and ventilation system improves comfort and increases productivity. Separate defroster ducts protect windows from freezing.

The unloading and fixing of the body is controlled using one lever. The loading and unloading brake, a patented Volvo technology, helps achieve precise operation. The tipping angle of the body reaches 72 degrees.

The maintenance-free swivel joint uses permanently lubricated tapered roller bearings to allow the tractor and trailer to move without transferring forces to the frame, while the independent relative rotation of the tractor and trailer ensures reliable contact with uneven surfaces.

The truck's basic configuration includes halogen headlights. But powerful LED headlights are optionally available.
