PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes. Slivers,

dust, broken branches and other debris may be thrown by the saw chain towards the operator's face.

Safety glasses can also provide some protection in the event that the saw chain should fly off and hit the user in the eye area. If work conditions are such that it is necessary to use a ventilated face mask, safety glasses should be worn under the mask.

hearing aids. If not followed, hearing loss may occur. The risk of hearing damage is reduced by using headphones or earmolds that have been approved for safety by appropriate organizations.

Those who regularly use chainsaws should have their hearing tested periodically.

Always wear a helmet or hat when operating a chain saw. It is recommended to use a safety helmet when working under trees or in areas with falling objects.

Wear rough, non-slip protective gloves for better grip and protection from cold and vibration.

Safety boots or boots with non-slip soles should be worn.

Chainsaw device

Preparing for use of the Echo CS-3500 chainsaw:

• When purchasing a saw, make sure that it is complete and that there are no visible breakdowns or damage;
• Study the structure of the chainsaw, safety rules and operating instructions;
• Unpack the unit and mount the saw set;

• Use the adjusting screw to set the correct chain tension. In this case, the links should not sag under their own weight, and the chain itself should move along the tire under light hand effort;
• Check the reliability of all bolted fastenings, tighten the screws and nuts if necessary;
• Fill the chainsaw with the fuel mixture;
• Fill the chain saw's automatic lubrication system with oil;
• Make sure there are no leaks; if any are found, restore the tightness of the fuel and oil lines;
• Wear personal protective equipment: gloves, sturdy shoes, goggles or mask, headphones;
• Start the engine;
• While working, follow safety rules, do not work with one hand, take regular breaks;
• Upon completion of work, clean the chainsaw and store it in a dry, ventilated area;

Maintenance

The Echo cs-3500 chainsaw engine runs on a fuel mixture consisting of two ingredients: oil for two-stroke engines and AI92-95 gasoline. Do not use gasoline with an octane number higher than 95 to prepare the mixture; this may reduce the life of the engine.

Fuel mixture ratio

When running in a chainsaw, you should adhere to the oil/gasoline ratio of 1/25; subsequently, the fuel is mixed in a ratio of 1/50.

Never work with one hand! Operating the saw with only one hand can result in serious injury to the saw operator, his assistants, and other bystanders. To ensure proper control, always use both hands when operating the saw, with one hand always on the throttle trigger. Failure to do so may result in the saw slipping or skidding, resulting in serious injury due to loss of control of the saw.

Hold the saw firmly with both hands while operating with the engine running, keep your right hand on the rear handle, and grip the front handle with your left hand. Grasp the saw handles tightly with your entire palm. A tight grip will allow you to reduce the risk of kickback and provide better control over the saw. You should always use both hands to control the saw.

Do not lean forward or lift the saw above chest level.

•

Make sure the work area is clear of foreign objects. Do not allow the toe of the bar to come into contact with logs, branches or other obstructions that you may hit when using a chainsaw.

Operating the saw at high engine speeds can reduce the likelihood of kickback.

•

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for sharpening and maintaining the saw chain.

•

Use only original spare parts when replacing the guide bar and chain, or an acceptable equivalent for these parts.
