The Uralets-180 minitractor was developed in 1991 by Chinese designers. In the same year, the equipment first appeared on the Russian market, and since at that time this model was to some extent a novelty, it did not have to wait long for great popularity. The assembly of this model was initially carried out by Russian enterprises, but currently Traktor LLC, which is located in the Chelyabinsk city of Yemanzhelinsk, not only assembles the equipment, but also manufactures most of the elements. Of course, not all parts are domestically produced; some components are still supplied from China.
The Uralets-180 model uses a diesel two-cylinder power plant with a liquid cooling system and a vertical cylinder arrangement. The unit develops a maximum power of 18 horsepower. It should be noted that this version of the tractor has average power in its model range. The machine also has an optimal combination of performance and efficiency, which is why it has achieved very great popularity.
But in addition to diesel units, some versions of the mini tractor use gasoline engines, which are superior to diesel engines in such indicators as efficiency and noise level.
Purpose
The tractor is aimed at agricultural and municipal services, the construction of any small facilities, greenhouse complexes, orchards, orchards, greenhouses, as well as livestock farming. The model performs a fairly large list of works:
In municipal services, the Uralets-180 minitractor is equipped with snow removal equipment or a utility brush. With this equipment, the machine removes snow and cleans street areas, roadways and various sites from various contaminants and debris. Utility equipment also includes a trailer, through which cargo transportation work is carried out.
On agricultural plots, including vegetable gardens, owners operate a mini tractor to perform a full cycle of seasonal work, namely for plowing light soil, cultivating, harrowing, hilling, cultivating row spacing, pre-sowing tillage, sowing grain and vegetable crops, planting root crops, processing harvest, watering, and later assembly.
In gardening, greenhouses and greenhouses, Uralets-180 is used for spraying useful vegetation, watering and transportation.
Livestock farmers mainly use this model when preparing feed and also for transporting any cargo.
Description
The Uralets-180 minitractor is a modern domestic model of agricultural machinery, which is produced similar to the Xingtai XT 220. This machine is assembled in the Chelyabinsk region, Yemanzhelinsk, and the components come from the Republic of China. Uralets 180 is in good demand among owners of small agricultural farms due to its compact size, as well as ease of use and relatively low price (from 140 thousand rubles).

Test review of the mini tractor Uralets-180
At Sabantui 2012 I witnessed how two villagers bought mini-tractors. This is necessary - to come to the folk festivals and leave with a tractor! What I saw impressed me so much that I decided to call.
In my opinion, Traktor LLC was happy with what they heard; in any case, they expressed a desire to send several models of mini-tractors to the editorial office:
— You test them, run them in, and then share your impressions. All costs for the operation and performance of tractors are on your shoulders.
10 days have passed, and here again a call from the Chelyabinsk region: the Tractor LLC truck is already in your city, unload the tractor.
Yes, this is Uralets-180. Small, about half the size of a car. Cherry red, with slanted eyes, that is, headlights. Bah, it's Chinese! Chinese of Russian blood. Russian blood, because it is collected in Russia, in the Chelyabinsk region.
The Uralets instrument panel is extremely simple: sensors for oil pressure, battery charge and coolant temperature. Also, a turn switch, toggle switches for the horn and front and rear lights, and an ignition switch. That's all! A real harsh Chelyabinsk tractor!
Let's see what this "Uralets" can do. Having pumped up the fuel pump, I fully depress the clutch and gas pedals, turn on decompression and turn the ignition key. The electric starter quickly spins the flywheel of a two-pot (two-cylinder) engine, little by little diluting and accelerating the oil in the crankcase, as evidenced by the arrow of the oil pressure sensor. Eh, diesel doesn’t like to start in the winter cold! On the third attempt, I decide to turn off decompression: the electric starter sharply slows down, but does not stop. Finally, belching clouds of blue smoke, the diesel started working. After waiting a couple more minutes, I release the clutch and adjust the manual fuel supply. That's it, the tractor is ready for everyday work.
While the engine is warming up, I glance over the technical documentation of the Uralets. How to start, how to operate, how to carry out maintenance. And here is the catalog, which lists in detail all the parts of the minitractor, starting from the gearshift lever knob and ending with the last left-hand thread of the crankshaft.
I was pleasantly surprised by the speed range of the mini-tractor. Three forward speeds, one reverse, plus their increased and decreased variations - this is enough to find the optimal haymaking mode depending on the terrain, weather conditions and type of grass cover. And on the “third higher” (27 kph!) in the heat you can drive to the nearest river and take a swim!
Having had my fill of driving around the territory, I stop; It would be a good idea to further explore the possibilities of using additional mounted units. Although, of the additional units, only a rear-mounted shovel is available, which was provided to us along with the tractor. According to the season, as I understand it. Well, let's clear the snow. A standard three-point hitch system, familiar from childhood, on which I fixed the shovel within 2 minutes. The shovel looks like a toy: 30-40 kilograms of weight, 120 centimeters wide, stiffening ribs.
This time the tractor started with a “half kick”. This is why I love the “atmospheric” diesel, it’s the absence of any problems, such as the quality of the “spark”, setting the timing, spark plug gap, etc. The main thing here is that the diesel fuel is of high quality. You won’t get far on “left-handed” diesel fuel, bought at half price from your neighbor Belazista. You can leave, but the fuel injection pump will shut down at the most inopportune moment, and this will mean additional costs: repairs, setting up fuel equipment, damaged nerve cells, and finally.
I lower the shovel and begin shoveling snow in second gear. Having driven about 20 meters, the Uralets slowed down, and now we are no longer moving forward, but standing still and rowing the air with our rear wheels. Hmmm, this is not a bulldozer, alas. 940 kilograms of a mini-tractor, plus my weight of 70 kg - this is clearly not enough for good, reliable traction of the tractor wheels with snow. I lift the shovel and continue to advance lightly. Thus, in two passes it is possible to complete snow removal along the entire length of a 30-meter-long asphalt path. This means that the algorithm of action is as follows: first you need to shovel the snow with a shovel loosely pressed to the soil, and then drive around a second time, removing the remains. It will turn out incomparably slower than on the T-170, but definitely faster than with a brigade of “utility workers” armed with scrapers and snow shovels.
Three days have passed since the Uralets-180 mini-tractor appeared at the editorial office’s disposal. During this time, one might say, I managed to fall in love with this car. Judge for yourself: economical, easy to drive, beautiful, in the end - after all. Even from a purely practical point of view, it has more advantages than disadvantages: an electric starter, fuel injection pump, gear-type oil pump, gearbox, fuel and oil filters - everything is at hand, in easily accessible places. If, God forbid, you happen to start repairs in the field, you will spend a minimum of time disassembling this or that unit. Machine operators know how troublesome it is to “halve” a universal row-crop tractor, such as MTZ or YuMZ: you will need a hoist, several assistants and a lot of “repair hours”. With the “Uralets” there are many fewer problems: you put two blocks under the tractor, unscrewed 10 bolts, removed four rods, 4 pipes, and now you have removed the small engine. I threw it in the trunk of my car, took it to the nearest service station, left it for capital - that’s all.
In general, I was so delighted with this tractor that I decided to share this same delight with the entire population of Sibay and the Baymak region. Well, or with the most curious part of this very population. It’s decided – we’re going to the collective farm market!
If you agree with the statement that money saved is money earned, then I earned 200 rubles at the market. Entry to the market for the equipment put up for sale cost 200 rubles, so I saved it by entering not through a guarded gate, but through a pedestrian gate, which is out of sight of the security guards, just like that! A tractor with dimensions of 2530x1200x1700mm will fit into any gap. He brazenly drove into the territory, took a place among the cars for sale, and began to wait for the curious. We didn't have to wait long.
The vast majority of people came up with the same words:
- Well, how much does such a toy cost?
Seeing that the “toy” unfolds almost on the spot, has a power take-off shaft of 540 rpm, a hydraulic linkage with a lifting capacity of 350 kg, electric start, a differential, and can work with more than 20 types of attachments, all those who asked were equally delighted, as does your humble servant. True, one or two skeptics were interested in the answer to the question - if something happens, is it possible to find spare parts for them?
— All spare parts are supplied according to the catalogue. In general, when selling a tractor, it is equipped with spare filters, crankshaft bearings, oil seals and even plunger pairs.
The answer reassured everyone; and then I fired a control shot to the head:
— For a whole day of work in haymaking, he consumes 7, at most 8 liters of diesel fuel, yes, yes.
The overall impressions of the Uralets-180 were pleasant. If a tractor is useful in winter, then in summer it certainly won’t be of any value – it’s like two and two make four! Variety of driving speeds – one, presence of a power take-off shaft – two, hydraulic attachments – three, easy engine starting – four, comfortable seat – five. Also, don’t forget about the wide selection of attachments. But the most important advantage of this tractor, of course, is its efficiency: during the entire time that the tractor was at our disposal, we refueled it only once, filled it with 12 liters of diesel fuel, and that was it. Working a shift with 7-8 liters of diesel fuel, which is now worth its weight in gold, isn’t it fantastic? Buy such an assistant, and live and enjoy life to the envy of others. Device Features
This mini tractor has very positive reviews, of which, by the way, there are a lot. Mostly, owners describe such advantages as:
- Fast payback. From the moment of purchase, a minitractor is able to quickly fully work out all the funds invested in the purchase. On average, this takes just over one year, depending on the application. Also, many consumers use the car to earn additional income, namely to work on neighboring plots of land. The model has increased resistance to heavy loads.
- Comfortable controls and improved maneuverability. These indicators are especially evident when operating equipment in confined spaces, which include gardens, greenhouses and greenhouse complexes.
- Reasonable price for new and used car. If we compare this mini tractor with the Chinese analogues SF or JM, then the Uralets-180 stands out greatly, since its purchase will be much cheaper than the presented models. In addition, the machine is a leader in its segment in terms of power indicators.
- Versatility. The presence of a universal hydraulic system, PTO and attachment provides the tractor with wide functionality. The model can work with quite a large number of various additional mounted, trailed and stationary equipment.
Negative reviews lead to the fact that the mini tractor was not entirely successful. They pay attention to the following aspects:
- Expensive repairs. The oil pump, hydraulic system pump and other similar devices currently have a fairly high cost, which negatively affects savings.
- High cost of equipment. Finding the necessary mounted units, and at an affordable price, is quite difficult. On average, the price tag for additional equipment varies from 90 thousand rubles to 110 thousand Russian rubles, when similar devices are much cheaper.
- Weak body. Many elements of the minitractor body are made of plastic, which over time begins to lose its stability and color. Moreover, as practice has shown, the body is afraid of even minor collisions or impacts, since this can lead to cracks or even severe damage.
Of course, any equipment has its pros and cons, but in this case the ratio of positive and negative reviews still suggests that the Uralets-180 minitractor can be called a worthy agricultural equipment.
The manufacturer is currently, in addition to the basic version of this mini tractor, producing a modernized version known as Uralets-XT-180. The main difference between this modification is the power plant. It uses a diesel engine from the Xingtai brand.
It is also worth highlighting some technical features, namely:
- The tires used on the wheels are of industrial class and are manufactured by domestic manufacturers, due to which they have quite an adequate cost.
- The electrical wiring of the mini tractor received new contacts, connections and devices, resulting in increased reliability.
- The rear suspension has been redesigned with reinforced control arms, providing improved stability when working with heavy equipment.
- The standard equipment is equipped with a powerful battery with an advanced pre-start current system. Also in the basic version there is a sound signal.
- The gearbox is made of high-strength materials. The gear teeth received additional reinforcements, allowing this element to withstand high loads.
- The workplace has an adjustable seat, which is located on a spring suspension. Thanks to the springs, increased operating comfort is ensured, since all vibrations are absorbed.
- The exhaust system of the Uralets-180 minitractor is made of welded pipes, including the muffler.
- Consumable items are produced by domestic manufacturers, as a result of which servicing the equipment will not cause any special financial costs.
- The attached instructions and description are translated into Russian, which is very convenient.
Reliability
the mini tractor can be used throughout the year, as it is resistant to various weather and climatic influences. The basic package includes an electric starter that starts the engine at sub-zero air temperatures.
Repair features
Spare parts for this mini tractor are very widespread, which also explains the popularization of the model. You can purchase them in many specialized stores and services. Almost all elements are affordable, with the exception of the oil pump and hydraulic system components, but these, as a rule, fail extremely rarely.
