GAZ-3302
GAZ - 3302 Gazelle - an onboard vehicle with a carrying capacity of 1.5 tons. Produced since 1994. It was restyled several times (2003 and 2010). This model is unique with its loading height of one meter. This level was achieved thanks to the installation of low-profile tires. The front brakes are disc brakes, manufactured under the control of Lucas.
In the summer of 1995, the automobile plant launched a small batch of GAZ-33027 all-wheel drive vehicles. They were intended for use on rural dirt roads and even off-road. 7 years later, in 2002, a new model rolled off the assembly line - 330202.
This is what the modification of gazelle 3302 looks like.
Its difference is the elongated frame. Initially, this development was intended for use as tow trucks and auto shops, but soon other models on this frame appeared.
Differences from the GAZelle family

Externally, commercial vehicles of the Gazelle-Business family differ from vehicles of the Gazelle family of recent years of production by having a radiator grille integrated into the front bumper (these elements can be either painted or unpainted, depending on the equipment of a particular vehicle), as well as a new color scheme cabs or bodies. Inside, the cars of the new family differ from their predecessors in a different front panel, steering wheel, standard audio system with a Blaupunkt head unit, and a new control unit for the cabin or front cabin heater.
The UMZ-4216 engine (in the updated family of commercial vehicles - UMZ-4216.10) received a new injection control program, due to which the maximum torque (220.5 Nm) is achieved at a rather low 2500 rpm for a gasoline engine. The Gazelle-Business family included Anvis Group engine mounts , a TRM aluminum-core radiator, and Bosch and Brisk electrical components. Bosch products were used in (in particular, the main brake cylinder and vacuum brake booster), ZF and Sachs components were used in the clutch drive, power steering from ZF Lenksysteme and electrically heated exterior mirrors were also introduced as standard.
Since 2010, the new modification of the car began to be equipped with an American-developed Cummins ISF turbocharged diesel engine, while production of the Gazelle with an Austrian-made Steyer diesel engine was discontinued in 2008.
GAZ-322132
The most striking model of all of the above, and in the literal sense of the word. This is a regular minibus with a side door. Its production began in August 1996. It differs from the basic configuration of the GAZ-322132 only in the layout of the seats and the presence of racks for passengers.
Since 2005, the series has been equipped with a new interior heating system, as well as ABS. From the same year, bright yellow coloring was carried out at the manufacturing plant.

What other factors does fuel consumption depend on?
Fuel consumption figures are very average; when calculating fuel consumption, it is important to consider the following:
- Seasonality. In winter, fuel consumption is higher due to the engine warming up during operation.
- Condition of the road surface. On a suburban highway, the reason for the increased consumption may be ups and downs on the road. In the city, constant stops and sudden braking increase consumption.
- Cargo. The more the car is loaded, the greater the fuel consumption will be.
- Low tire pressure. Fuel consumption increases to overcome high resistance.
- Model. The all-wheel drive model requires higher gasoline or diesel consumption.
Diesel or gasoline
If Gazelles are used as “workhorses” and transport cargo, the optimal solution would be to choose diesel fuel. Diesel fuel costs less, diesel fuel is cheaper – it’s more profitable.
If, after all, the owner opted for gasoline, then to save money, many install the car with injection.
Engine capacity
The engine volume speaks for itself about the amount of fuel it can hold. Accordingly, the larger the engine volume, the greater the consumption, but also the more powerful the Gazelle.
How do you drive
Fuel consumption directly depends on driving technique:
- If a driver likes to maneuver on the road, go around cars, brake sharply and take off, he risks adding about 1% to his consumption.
- High speed and skidding on the roads also increase fuel consumption.
Breakdowns and malfunctions
If the car has a breakdown, but it remains on the move, other mechanisms need to work hard, replacing the functions of the broken part. Often, when an internal combustion engine malfunctions, fuel literally flies down the drain.

How much does a gazelle with a 405 engine consume? Aspects Numerical indicators engine volume 2890 cm3; typical piston diameter 100 mm; compression level inside the cylinders 9.2; piston stroke 92 mm; developed power 107 hp. Often the Ulyanovsk engine overheats, and drivers take various measures to get rid of this unpleasant and dangerous phenomenon for the internal combustion engine. |

Tools for work
Often the Ulyanovsk engine overheats, and drivers take various measures to get rid of this unpleasant and dangerous phenomenon for the internal combustion engine. Many Gazelle owners install a copper three-row cooling radiator instead of the standard aluminum one - copper cools antifreeze more effectively. Another method of combating overheating is to install an electric cooling fan with a toggle switch, which is located in the driver’s cab. At the moment when the sensor arrow on the instrument panel begins to show the critical coolant temperature, the driver forcibly turns on the fan, and the temperature returns to normal.
