Mercedes Sprinter owner reviews

Generation 1

  • Oleg, Smolensk, 79 l. With. I have a Sprinter purely for work, they provided me with the 1997 version, with a 79-horsepower diesel engine. I'm happy with the car, it's an economical workhorse, with an energy-intensive suspension and a large load capacity. I have an all-metal van, used mainly in urban environments. Average fuel consumption is 10 liters per 100 km. Thanks to the high torque, you can easily accelerate to 100 km/h.
  • Alexander, Nizhny Novgorod, 2.9 122 l. With. The Sprinter is the best light commercial vehicle. I say this as a driver with 20 years of experience who has driven Gazelle, Iveco, Volkswagen and other vans. The Sprinter consumes 10-12 liters of diesel fuel, it is a good and reliable car.
  • Ekaterina, Perm region, 2.3 79 l. With. I'm happy with the car, an excellent universal car for all needs, practical and economical. Impenetrable suspension, acceptable handling, roomy body and low fuel consumption. In the city it comes out to 9-11 liters.
  • Boris, St. Petersburg, 2.3 79 l. With. I have owned the Mercedes-Sprinter for seven years, during which time I have covered about 130 thousand km. The car was produced in 1999, bought second-hand. I work for myself, doing courier deliveries. Average consumption is 11 liters per hundred.
  • Daniil, Sverdlovsk, 2.3 79 l. With. A durable and hardy car, ideal for the Russian climate, and tolerates salty winters well. A peppy 79-horsepower diesel engine consumes 9-10 liters per 100 km.
  • Nikolay, Belgorod, 2.9 122 l. With. The best car among competitors. We bought a batch of Sprinters on a used market, mileage ranged from 75-150 thousand km. Quite fresh copies, produced in 2001. Good visibility, high-quality finishing materials, excellent load capacity and durable suspension, economical 2.9-liter diesel engine. Its power is 122 hp. With. enough to spare. According to previous owners, the engine showed its best side. Moreover, they recognized this node as the most reliable. In addition, the engine is quite economical in the city, consuming an average of 11-13 liters.
  • Yuri, Bryansk, 2.3 79 l. With. I liked the car, I have a Sprinter utility van, equipped with a modest and economical 2.3-liter diesel engine. Consumes an average of 12 liters per hundred.
  • Dmitry, Stavropol region, 2.9 122 l. With. I liked the car, I use the van every day for 15 hours, I transport construction materials. The car is reliable and does not cause any problems structurally. Average consumption is 10 liters per hundred. The 122-horsepower diesel engine is high-torque and reserves power, capable of pulling even from the bottom, but at high speeds it is no longer a spark. On the highway you can keep within 8 liters/100 km.
  • Georgy, Irkutsk, 2.9 122 l. With. The Sprinter has the most powerful engine, its power is 122 hp. With. Enough with your head. The dynamics feel good. In addition, I note good load capacity. When the body is full, the van is still just as dynamic – thanks to its reserves of traction and power. Still, the diesel engine drags and is ideal for this class of car. In the city cycle it turns out to be 11 liters, on the highway it comes out to 8-10 liters.
  • Evgeniy, Nizhny Novgorod region, 2.3 79 l. With. diesel. I'm happy with the car, they gave me the Sprinter version with a 2.3-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 80 horses. There are enough problems with the engine, firstly, the diesel fuel freezes too quickly. There is no pre-heater, you have to buy additives. The car is serviced in a workshop provided by our transport company. Consumption is 10-12 liters/100 km.
  • Igor, Rostov region, 2.3 79 l. With. My Sprinter has traveled 125 thousand km. The weak points of the car are a rotting body in the area of the side door sills, engine trouble, unreliable clutch, and malfunctions of the manual transmission. In general, all these problems arose during the warranty period, so we managed to save money. Although the body still rots, it has to be treated with anticorrosive every year. A 79-horsepower diesel engine consumes 10 liters/100 km.
  • Oleg, Krasnoyarsk, 2.3 79 l. With. I'm happy with the car, the car is purely for the city and business, by the way, I'm a private entrepreneur. The car is equipped with a 2.9-liter engine, which consumes 10-12 liters per hundred.
  • Alexander, Peter, 2.3 79 l. With. Sprinter 2005, more or less a recent copy. I bought it on the secondary market, for my own needs - household and family. I have a full-size minivan equipped with a 79-horsepower diesel engine. There is enough power to spare, the average consumption is 11-12 liters per 100 km.

Generation 2

  • Yuri, Penza, 2.2 109 l. With. A car for all occasions, it is ideal in the city and on country trips. It reaches 120 km/h without any problems. The noise in the cabin is at an acceptable level, and handling is decent for a van of this class. The suspension is energy-intensive and can withstand all the holes and potholes, of which there are many on Russian roads. In addition, the Sprinter starts perfectly with half a turn, even in cold weather. Now the mileage is 80 thousand km, there were problems with the wiring and fuses, the Sprinter is still not for salty winters. But you can live with it, it consumes 10-12 liters per hundred. We fill only proven brands with fuel and oil.
  • Vitaly, Dnepropetrovsk, 2.2 109 l. With. The machine is used for transporting small household appliances and kitchen furniture. The Sprinter is a reliable and modern van, with a high body and large load capacity. Loading area with a flat surface, convenient to load. The car consumes at least 10 liters, on the highway it comes out to 8 liters per hundred. When fully loaded and the gas pedal is to the floor, 13-15 liters are obtained.
  • Anton, Ekaterinoslavl, 2.2 109 l. With. I have a Sprinter van, a great car for making money. A decent workhorse. I have a version with a 2.2-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 109 horsepower. A powerful and high-torque engine in the urban cycle consumes within 10-12 liters/100 km. Compared to the previous generation Sprinter, the new car is more labor-intensive and expensive to maintain. In addition, there are many parts that do not fit from the old Sprinter. For this I give a big minus, but in terms of load capacity and smooth running, the car is ideal.
  • Nikolay, Stavropol region, 2.2 150 l. With. I'm happy with the car, I have a 150-horsepower version of the Mercedes Sprinter. With mileage of 170 thousand km. The car is supported, model year 2008. The minibus copes with its tasks, the passengers are happy. I use it as a minibus. Good traction and dynamics, I always fit into the route schedule and am never late. In addition, the Sprinter itself sets up for fast driving. The consumption of a 150-horsepower engine is 12-13 liters per hundred.
  • Mikhail, Novosibirsk, 2.2 163 l. With. I have had a Sprinter since 2009, the odometer shows 122 thousand. A reliable car for transporting goods over long distances, with good dynamics and brakes. Consumes 11-12 liters if you drive at low speeds.
  • Nikita, Lipetsk, 2.2 163 l. With. The company provided me with a second generation Sprinter van, 2008 version. Equipped with a powerful 2.2-liter engine. I have a special version with all-wheel drive, used in difficult places to transport construction materials. The car is reliable, with a durable and well-protected taxi, it consumes between 10-12 liters per 100 km/h.
  • Vladimir, Ryazan, 2.2 150 l. With. The car suits me in all respects. I am very pleased with my work. Before the new Sprinter, I already had one, but it was produced in 1995. I had a lot of trouble with it, I even had to repair it in the middle of the road. The suspension and the chassis as a whole often malfunctioned. Moreover, it was a supported copy. And now our company is thriving, and the opportunity has arisen to purchase a batch of brand new 2009 Sprinters, in good condition. I'm riding one of them. I'm happy with the car, I praise the modern design, good handling, load capacity and reliability, which was so lacking in the old Sprinter. Average consumption is within 12 liters/100 km.
  • Georgy, Moscow region, 2.2 109 l. With. A 2008 Sprinter, I was given a used copy with a mileage of 50 thousand km. In excellent condition, as if new. Consider that it has been tested and adapted to Russian conditions. The engine pulls well and saves fuel, on average 11-13 liters per 100 km.
  • Vladislav, Nikolaev, 2.2, 150 l. With. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is the best option in terms of price-quality ratio. The van of the same name allows you to drive dynamically and comfortably. The average consumption of a 150-horsepower engine is 12 liters.
  • Svyatoslav, Ryazan, 2.2 163 l. With. A good truck for everyday needs, for work and a large large family. I use the sprinter in almost all areas, and has proven itself to be a reliable hard worker that you can rely on. Consumes 12 liters in the city, 10 liters per 100 km on the highway.
  • Oleg, Stavropol region, 2.2 163 l. With. The sprinter suits me in all respects, I am very pleased. Besides, I don’t have to choose—at work they provided me with this particular car. The Sprinter is used for transporting household chemicals. In general, I drive comfortably. A powerful 160-horsepower unit consumes from 10 to 14 liters per hundred, but it depends on what pace you are driving.
  • Kirill, Rostov, 2.2 150 l. With. I am a beginner private entrepreneur, I work for myself. I purchased a 2008 Sprinter, maintained and in good condition, so far I drive it myself and deliver orders to locations. I liked the Sprinter, the optimal car for business. Consumes 12 liters.
  • Boris, Nizhny Novgorod region, 2.2 150 l. With. I like the car, it consumes an average of 11-12 liters per hundred. Under the hood is a 150-horsepower 2.2-liter engine, which is enough to spare even when driving uphill. High torque, which is necessary when transporting heavy and bulky cargo. As for the design, I will note the modern appearance with aerodynamic shapes, and I will also draw attention to the higher quality materials used in the interior decoration. Practical velor seats, warm to sit on even without heating. The functionality is at a high level, but nothing superfluous. Everything is done strictly and tastefully, no touch screens for you. The push-button interface is more familiar, especially since this is a truck that doesn’t need show-offs.
