As part of the preparation for the production of the ZIL family of diesel trucks in 1976.
The Mytishchi Machine-Building Plant mounted dump trucks of the ZIL-MMZ-4502 type on prototypes of the ZIL-7E169D chassis. Subsequently, three types of dump trucks were prepared on the ZIL-169D chassis: ZIL-MMZ-4506 agricultural with 3-sided unloading for constant work with the GKB-8529 trailer; ZIL-MMZ-4507 - construction with 3-sided unloading, also adapted for working with a trailer (load capacity -5.2 tons); ZIL-MMZ-4508 - construction with rear unloading (load capacity - 5.5 tons).
The first samples of all three models were produced in 1976-77 using the ZiL-8E169B chassis. In 1979-82, a second series of prototypes was built. In 1986-87, the final versions of the ZIL-MMZ-4506 and ZIL-MMZ-4508 dump trucks appeared, respectively on the ZIL-4946 and ZIL-4945 chassis (dump truck chassis based on the ZIL-4331). They went into production in 1990. For the ZIL-MMZ-4506 dump truck, the Mytishchi Machine Plant developed a two-axle trailer MMZ-8529 with a load capacity of 6 tons with a similar dump unit.
The ZIL-MMZ-4507 dump truck remained in existence only as prototypes.
In 1993, a dump truck of the MMZ-4506 type was installed as an experiment on an experimental ZIL-4327 chassis. This car did not receive a separate index.
Modifications.
Modifications of ZIL-MMZ-4506:
ZIL-MM3-45063 - agricultural dump truck with a lifting capacity of 5.7 tons on the ZIL-497420 chassis with an MM3 D-245.2 diesel engine;
ZIL-MMZ-45065 - agricultural dump truck with a lifting capacity of 5.7 tons on the ZIL-494560 chassis with a ZIL-508.10 engine;
ZIL-MMZ-45067 - agricultural dump truck with a lifting capacity of 5.3 tons on the ZIL-494500 chassis with a ZIL-645 diesel engine;
ZIL-MMZ-4512 is a dump truck with three-way unloading and a loader crane on the ZIL-433102 chassis.
Modifications of ZIL-MMZ-4508:
ZIL-MMZ-4508 - a dump truck with a lifting capacity of 5.5 tons on a ZIL-494500 chassis with a ZIL-645 diesel engine;
ZIL-MMZ-450801 - dump truck on the ZIL-494730 chassis with a diesel engine; ZIL-MMZ-4508-03 (with
certification assigned the index ZIL-MMZ-4526) - a construction dump truck with a load capacity of 7.5 tons (with an increased load on the rear axle to 10 tons) on a ZIL-590450A chassis with a ZIL-6454 diesel engine (1995);
ZIL-MMZ-45083 - construction dump truck with a lifting capacity of 7.5 tons on the ZIL-49450A chassis with an MM3 D-245.9 diesel engine;
ZIL-MMZ-45085 is a construction dump truck on the ZIL-494560 chassis with a ZIL-508.10 engine.
ZIL-45085 - a reliable Russian dump truck for construction sites
Modern automobile portals, on which users place advertisements for the sale of cars and trucks, are replete with offers to purchase ZIL cars. The construction dump truck model was created on the basis of the chassis of another truck. ZIL-494560 was taken as the basis. Therefore, most of the characteristics of the two cars are identical.

The light weight of the body helps maintain the traction qualities of the truck. Hinges are used to open the tailgate. They are fixed in the upper and lower positions. The middle side is equipped with a canopy that protects the cabin.

Dump truck capabilities
The car is widely used in the construction industry. The popularity of the model is largely due to its low cost.
