When creating the design, the main attention was paid to increasing reliability, ensuring reliable engine starting and creating normal working conditions for the driver at low outside temperatures reaching -60° C.

The vehicle is equipped with a high-efficiency engine pre-heater. A contact-thyristor ignition system is used. To ensure an active balance of electricity, a high-power generator is installed. To improve the stability of the engine's thermal regime, an electromagnetic clutch has been introduced that automatically turns off and turns on the cooling system fan. Maintaining the normal temperature of the battery electrolyte is achieved through insulation and introducing heating of the battery with engine exhaust gases.

A powerful heater with increased efficiency is installed in the driver's cabin, and effective thermal insulation is introduced. To prevent fogging and freezing, all cabin windows are made of double glass. Upholstery material and rubber products have increased frost resistance.

Special oils are used for the engine and transmission units to ensure normal vehicle operation at low air temperatures.

The vehicle is equipped with a mechanically driven winch for self-extraction, a winch unit with a fastening cable, a portable independent heater, hood insulation, fog lights, identification lights on the cab roof, additional side direction indicators, a rotating spotlight, an additional air horn, a fire extinguisher and an entrenching tool ( one-handed saw, axe, shovel and crowbar).

The ZIL-130V1S truck tractor was equipped with a roof rack on the cab roof and two spare wheels in a special holder with a device to facilitate their raising and lowering.

What kind of site is needed to drill a well?

To drill a full-fledged artesian well on limestone, access roads with a width of at least 3 meters are required. In this case, the quality of the road surface does not matter.

To place the drilling rig itself and working equipment at the site, it is necessary to prepare a site measuring at least 4 x 9 meters. After drilling, it is recommended to keep the access to the well clear for ease of maintenance of the water intake column. The well is a repairable structure, so you should not erect any buildings next to it so that equipment can easily travel to the site.

Location of the water carrier and kung during drilling

It is ideal if it is possible to place the kung and water carrier next to the drilling rig. In practice, this possibility is not always available. But there is always a way out of the situation, good or not.

The kung can be placed anywhere outside the site, but preferably close. It should not block the road or disturb the neighbors. On-site drillers will always find the best solution for the placement of the kung.

The water carrier can be placed at the other end of the site, or outside it. It is important that the distance from it to the drilling rig does not exceed the length of fire hydrants, usually 30 meters.

Features of machine operation

Thanks to the equipment with a hydraulic system with pressure gauges, the URB 2A2 drilling rig operates as smoothly and efficiently as possible. The oil is purified through special filters, thanks to which the operating life of the unit is significantly increased. If a vehicle breakdown occurs, the installation can be deactivated manually using a mechanical emergency pump.

For successful operation of drilling equipment, it is necessary that the master carefully study the operating instructions and monitor the serviceability of the mechanisms. It is important to use the grades of oil and lubricant specified in the instructions, comply with the appropriate maintenance requirements, and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner.

Modification PBU-50M

This drilling rig was equipped with equipment for the construction of bored and injection piles. Now PBU-50M is mainly used for these tasks.

This drilling rig differs in appearance in that it was equipped with a different trailer, instead of the standard one on the base model. In addition, it has an hour meter on the gearbox to track the “mileage” of the drill with the power tool. The engine remained the same, but the kinematic diagram of the power extraction and transmission mechanism underwent a number of modifications, thanks to which the installation could drill wells significantly faster.

The hydraulic system was also modified - fuses were installed that prevented spontaneous operation when the vehicle was moving, since the fluid inside the system also moved. The driller's console acquired an emergency light that warned of dangerous oil pressure in the engine.
