Thanks to the special design of the windows and the large glazing area, the operator has a fairly wide view of the work area. All this is made of high-strength steel and has a box-shaped design, which has a positive effect on resistance to high loads. On the handle, where there are connections for the digging bucket, the manufacturer applied carbide and tungsten spraying. It is worth noting that this solution has not been applied previously. The benefit of such spraying is an increase in wear resistance, which in turn leads to an increase in service life.

The Hitachi 240 crawler excavator must be equipped only with original spare parts, which, due to the great demand for this equipment, are widespread in Russia. But one disadvantage in this case is the very high cost.

The Hitachi ZX-240 travel system is based on the use of crawler bogies and a mechanism of two axial piston hydraulic motors for each belt. The crawlers use links with heat-treated pins and mud seals.
