Design and technical characteristics of the EO 2626 backhoe loader

The EO 2626 backhoe loader is a universal, multifunctional excavator device with a wheeled mode of movement. Thanks to an extensive range of attachments, it can perform a wide range of work, but is mainly used for digging holes, pits, trenches, as well as loading and unloading within construction sites. As standard, it is equipped with a front loader and a boom with a bucket.

Purpose

The EO-2626 excavator has a fairly wide range of applications, namely, it can be used in agriculture, various industries, forestry, construction or during dismantling, road repair work, as well as in public utilities.

Basically, the machine is used to carry out various excavation work, namely digging pits, trenches and filling them; creation of embankments; leveling work sites, as well as developing wells. In addition, the vehicle can transport any cargo over short distances; perform loading and unloading operations of bulk materials (loose soil, sand, gravel, crushed stone, and so on); clear the area of ​​industrial waste (during dismantling work). In public utilities, an excavator is used for its intended purpose - loading and digging, but in the winter, most often the equipment clears sections of streets, roadways and areas of various industries from a large mass of snow, using its standard attachments.

It is worth noting that in some cases EO-2626 is used to clean the bottom of small and shallow reservoirs, as well as rivers. Of course, this is observed extremely rarely, since there are special machines designed for this kind of work, but still, the use of an excavator in this area cannot be called impossible.

Excavator EO-2626: application

The EO-2626 wheeled excavator-loader is designed for mechanization of small-scale excavation work. Due to its design features, the machine can be used in reclamation construction, agriculture, loading and unloading operations, including with complex loads.

EO-2626 is adapted for operation at temperatures from -40 to +40 degrees. Can be used to develop soils from categories I to IV. According to experts, the excavator is a typical example of Soviet-style equipment: durable, repairable, easy to operate and maintain. Operating an excavator does not require high qualifications.

Device and design

In the basic configuration, the excavator has the following features:

Modifications

The EO-2626 excavator has only one modified version:

Modification EO-2626-01. This version has a more modern design and additional equipment. The design has been slightly improved, which has made it possible to achieve increased stability when performing earthmoving work. In addition, the boom and arm have been improved in terms of strength, as their designs have also undergone some changes.

In terms of overall dimensions, the modification was slightly smaller than the base car. This was achieved through the use of a new perpendicular folding scheme of the hydraulic manipulator relative to the axis of movement. It is worth noting that this is even a big plus, since due to the small overall dimensions the maneuverability of the excavator has been significantly improved. These changes made it possible to use the machine in cramped urban environments, which significantly affected functionality and practicality.

In terms of technical characteristics, the modification is no different from the basic excavator. The car just received an updated design. The basic excavator was intended exclusively for work in households and rural households, when the modified version contributed to expanding the range of work performed, as it was aimed at mass consumers and public organizations.

In addition to the listed changes, there is also a modern hydraulic system designed for high load capacity. The working equipment began to make any movements more smoothly and accurately, as a special system called “Hidrocontrol” was introduced. Also, in the new excavator it has become possible to combine various actions, and standard mounted units have become more protected from external damage associated with operator errors during operation.

The key feature of this model compared to the basic one is the axis with the possibility of its longitudinal displacement. This allows you to perform the necessary operations quite close to fences, walls of various structures and other similar enclosing objects. The maximum digging depth was also increased to 4340 millimeters, due to the use of a longer handle and boom. If the EO-2626 is built on the basis of the MTZ-82 tractor, then the MTZ-92P tractor served as the basis for the modified version.

Excavator EO-2626: technical characteristics

The EO-2626 excavator is one of the oldest representatives of wheeled tractor equipment. It was created on the basis of the MTZ-82, which was the main reason for its popularity and durability. In addition to ease of repair and maintenance, the machine offers the user off-road capability and an impressively low price.

Among the advantages of the EO-2626 backhoe loader are:

  • low cost of work. Along with productivity, the machine offers cost reduction, which allows it to be ranked among the best Soviet technology;
  • high maintainability. Firstly, spare parts for EO-2626 are very inexpensive. Secondly, the machine is designed in such a way that most of the breakdowns can be repaired on the spot, without any special skills. Thirdly, the average excavator downtime due to breakdown is 30 minutes. This result is achieved by the cheap price of spare parts and their availability;
  • all the advantages of the MTZ-82 tractor. And these are endurance, strength, durability and maneuverability. EO-2626 can work in any conditions, be it heat or high humidity, for a long time. Not a single Western analogue can offer a continuous cycle of operation, regardless of climatic conditions;
  • the ability to connect equipment through the hydraulic distributor of the base chassis or the excavator itself. This increases the accuracy of work, which in normal cases requires the use of expensive electronic equipment and a video surveillance system. Needless to say, the simplest design is the most reliable.
  • large selection of attachments. The consumer can choose from standard equipment, a hydraulic hammer, a bulldozer blade and others.

Engine, transmission, hydraulic system

The EO-2626 backhoe loader is equipped with a factory engine, model D-243. This is a four-stroke diesel engine used on many MTZ models. The power of the power unit is 82 hp. or 60 kW. The engine runs on four cylinders and is cooled by a liquid system.

The manual transmission provides 17 forward and 4 reverse speeds. The MTZ-82.1 “Belarus” wheeled tractor was used as the base chassis. Wheel formula 4x4. The maximum speed of the car is 32 km/h forward and 25 km/h back. The excavator hydraulic system operates with a maximum pressure of 16 MPa. With all the listed indicators, EO-2626 has an average fuel consumption of 5 l/l during operation and 10 l/h while driving at maximum speed.

The EO-2626 wheeled excavator, produced by the Pinsk Small Mechanization Plant, offers the user the following indicators:

But despite all the positive aspects, the EO 2626 is not capable of doing the job on its own; you need to work on it.
