There are two types of such loaders, differing in the layout of the chassis:

  • Three-legged. The rear axle consists of one wheel or two, but located not at the edges, but closer to the longitudinal axis of the loader. This arrangement significantly increases maneuverability, allowing the turning radius to be reduced, but reduces the lateral stability of the machine. The place of operation of such equipment is areas with a flat horizontal surface. Load capacity – up to 2 tons.

Maintenance and repair of Toyota forklifts by the owner can be daily, weekly, monthly and three-monthly. Among the features, it is worth noting the OPS system, which prevents accidental starting of the machine and changing the position of the working element when the operator is absent. Thanks to this system, the level of equipment safety has been significantly increased, which is one of the most important indicators in any field of activity.

The whole point of the OPS system is that it is able to detect the presence of an operator in the seat using special sensors. That is, when the operator is at his workplace, these sensors turn on. When the sensors are turned off, the system establishes complete blocking of the working equipment, namely the raising and lowering of the forks, as well as the tilt of the mast.

To disable the system itself, the operator must be in the seat, thereby reactivating the seat sensors. After this, it is necessary to move all levers to the neutral position. This function appeared in the system relatively recently, but also contributed to the level of security.

It is also worth mentioning the cargo weight indicator. Near the levers there is a multifunction display, which shows in approximate values ​​the weight of the lifted/suspended load. A manual check is also available, which can be done by pressing a special button located on the lifting lever of the working body. This function is quite useful and even necessary, as it prevents possible overload, which could result in unpleasant consequences. The accuracy of the system is quite high; it measures mass down to hundredths of a ton. But there is also an error in accuracy, which is 7 percent. But this is not at all critical.

The instrument panel has a low location, resulting in excellent visibility from the operator's station. This makes it much easier to find the exact position when inserting the forks.

This was also influenced by changes in the design of the leading edge of the roof. Thanks to this, the operator does not experience difficulties when working with lifted loads at 2800 millimeters and 3000 millimeters, since even at this height the operator can fully monitor and control the entire work process.

And I would like to separately highlight the following changes and advantages of the Toyota 8FD30 forklift:

  1. The entrance step was down.
  2. The roof has been raised to provide more interior space.
