The modern, economical and quiet diesel engine YaMZ-53625 is one of the undoubted advantages of the new tractor. Transmission

In work mode, gear shifting occurs from first to fourth gear, and in transport mode - from first to sixth gear.

In order to avoid engine overloads when the gearbox is operating in manual mode, the gearbox control system provides for automatic switching to a lower gear when the crankshaft speed is reduced to 1300 rpm. Tractor speed: forward - slowest - 5.8 km/h; maximum operating speed is 14 km/h. The highest transport speed with the full weight of a standard trailer is 40 km/h. The tractor power take-off shaft is independent, two-speed.

Drive axles

The hydraulic system of working equipment and steering control on the Kirovets K-424 tractor is combined, with a single hydraulic tank. The operation of the tractor’s hydraulic system is ensured by a tandem pumping station: a 100 cubic centimeter Bosch axial piston pump plus a 40 cubic centimeter gear pump for steering. The hydraulic distributor is five-section, electronically controlled, located on the semi-frame. The flow rate through one section of the hydraulic distributor is 95 liters per minute, and through the double section - 185 liters per minute. The rear linkage with the function of positional power regulation is included in the basic package of the Kirovets K-424 tractor. The maximum load capacity of the rear linkage is 6,000 kilograms. 1. The Kirovets K-424 is equipped with a compact and economical Russian-made YaMZ-5362 diesel engine. This motor reveals all the advantages of the Kirovets K-424 tractor. The engine has six cylinders and develops over 200 horsepower. The power plant is equipped with various auxiliary systems, among which we note Common Rail electronic fuel injection, which increases fuel efficiency and reduces emissions of harmful substances down to the Stage III environmental standard. In addition, this unit has successfully passed certification of the Customs Union. Based on this, it is not surprising that it is in great demand in at least five post-Soviet countries - Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. According to official data, the power plant with a displacement of 6.6 liters develops 240 forces or 175 kW. In this case, the operating power indicator is 215 hp. With. We will also add here a torque of almost 950 N/m, achieved already at 1300-1600 rpm. It is noteworthy that when the turbine is activated, the power output of the engine increases to 168 hp. With. 2. Kirovets K-424 is equipped with an automatic transmission with six forward and three reverse gears. This number of speeds ensures smooth operation when switching. This algorithm works in “automatic” mode. Operating the transmission in manual mode eliminates engine overload. If the crankshaft has a reduced speed of up to 1300 rpm, then the transmission automatically shifts to a lower gear. Thanks to smooth and precise shifting, the maximum speed of the tractor together with a standard trailer is 40 km/h. The gearbox is reinforced with a power take-off shaft with two operating modes - from 500 to 100 rpm.
3. The K-424 “Kiryusha” tractor is an all-wheel drive wheeled vehicle operating according to the classic 4x4 formula. Moreover, the front and rear drive axles have a center differential lock. A special feature of the main gear design is the drive and driven bevel gears, with a circular tooth and a locking differential. The differential itself is built into the main gear housing and mounted on tapered bearings. In addition, the drive axles are reinforced with wheel planetary gearboxes, which, in turn, consist of gears, a carrier and three satellites. To increase strength, the rear axle is fixed to the tractor frame, and the front axle is fixed by means of longitudinal semi-elliptical springs with hydraulic shock absorbers. To shorten the braking distance, the tractor received powerful hydraulic brakes.
4. The Kirovets K-424 Kiryusha model is equipped with a hydraulic system that is driven by an axial piston pump. The productivity (fluid throughput) of the hydraulic pump is 210 liters per minute. The aforementioned power take-off shaft, coupled with such hydraulics, ensured the high lifting capacity of the main attachment. We will also add here a five-section hydraulic distributor, which consumes about 95 liters per minute through one section, and up to 185 liters per minute through two sections. The design provides for free drainage of liquid, as well as four independent hydraulic lines. Thanks to these auxiliary components, the lifting capacity of the rear linkage is 6 tons, which corresponds to traction category 3. As an option, you can install a multi-lift with height adjustment. The lift can be equipped with a bracket and a pendulum hitch located in the front of the tractor. Essentially, it is an auxiliary attachment with a lifting capacity of 4.5 tons. It is possible to operate both implements simultaneously, which almost doubles the load capacity.
5. The driver's workplace has many adjustments - both the driver's seat and the steering column. The level of ergonomics in the arrangement of instruments, levers and switches, as well as the level of sound and noise insulation of the interior, correspond to current tractor and automotive standards. Comfort and coziness in the cabin is ensured by a powerful climate control system with heating and ventilation functions. In general, we can say without a doubt that the developers managed to achieve a decent level of comfort, space and silence in the cabin. The cabin itself is all-metal, with a built-in protective frame and a wide glass area, which is also present on the roof - in the form of a panoramic sunroof. Due to this, it was possible to obtain excellent visibility. There is one single door on the left side for access to the cabin. Convenient mini-steps are designed to facilitate access to the salon. We note the high level of ergonomics of the devices responsible for controlling the coupling devices. You can operate them using a compact joystick.
6. Kirovets K-424 Kiryusha, like all other representatives of the Kirov Automobile Plant model range, has high maintainability. It is very reliable and easy to maintain. It can be repaired in garage and field conditions, if you have special tools. Due to this, the car is much better adapted to Russian conditions than its more expensive foreign competitors.

Modern design, very compact dimensions, large wheels and a powerful engine make the Kiryusha adapted for the most serious off-road conditions and any tasks in agriculture. I had the opportunity to drive a previous tractor, so there is an opportunity to compare. Kiryusha is much better - both in terms of handling, visibility, and cross-country ability. The equipment effectively copes with soil cultivation, be it cultivating or harrowing, loading or towing heavy trailers, or snow removal. For a small tractor, a load capacity of 6 tons is a decent result. In two months, no breakdowns have occurred; you just need to change consumables on time, add fuel, filters, oil, etc. So far, we are happy with the equipment. Kiryusha is no worse than its imported counterparts.
• Sergey, Petrozavodsk. Kirovets K-424 was a good choice for our farm. It is ideally adapted for difficult conditions. The power of 240 horses is quite enough for many hours of work. There is no overheating or overload; all mounted implements work smoothly and efficiently. The machine is capable of lifting six-ton ​​loads and confidently overcomes deep ruts and obstacles. The new K-4 tractor belongs to the 4th traction class, is significantly smaller in weight and dimensions than its older brother, and has already received the affectionate name “Kiryusha”.
