Screw in the bolts securing the transmission support support to the cross beam, remove the wooden blocks from under the second frame cross member and lower the power unit onto the supports; screw in the bolts securing the support beam to the frame; insert the bolts into the holes in the rear supports of the power unit, tighten the self-locking nuts. Tighten the front power unit mounting bolts. Connect the air lines to the trailer brake control valve with a two-wire drive; put on the connecting hose of the ejector pipe and secure it with tightening straps. Align the holes in the yoke flange of the axle driveshaft with the holes in the driven shaft flange of the Kamaz-4308 gearbox; insert the bolts into the holes, put on the spring washers, and tighten the nuts. Install the hydraulic clutch pneumatic booster. Attach the muffler mounting bracket to the gearbox housing by screwing in the bolts. Connect the plug connectors of the tachometer, tachograph (speedometer), semi-trailer socket, brake light sensor, reversing light, pressure drop indicator sensors in the receivers. Install the hose connecting the engine intake manifold to the air cleaner connecting pipe. Put on the clamps and secure the hose by inserting the bolts into the holes of the clamps and tightening them with nuts. Connect the wire connecting the starter relay to the “+” terminal of the battery; connect the ground switch terminal to the car frame (the terminal is located on the battery box); connect the batteries to the vehicle's electrical circuit. Install floor shields. Pour oil into the gearbox housing. Lower the cab. Check and, if necessary, adjust the free play of the clutch pedal.

Cabin and design

It is noteworthy that the development of the KAMAZ-4308 vehicle was carried out by domestic specialists with the participation of foreign experts. That's why modern users of this car call it a good decision by the manufacturer. The design was created in a relatively short period of time. Dimensions, type of components and assemblies are minimized. However, this did not in any way affect the performance, safety and reliability of the car. Due to the fact that the power plants of these medium-duty trucks are modern European-class engines, the transmission components must also meet European standards.

The KamAZ-4308 is equipped with a diaphragm single-disc clutch of a pull-back design.

By modern standards, the clutch operates in dry environments. This component is produced by Sachs, a subsidiary of the Hungarian company ZF.

KamAZ trucks are equipped with two types of such parts. Four-cylinder units receive a clutch diameter of 362 millimeters, and six-cylinder units - 395 millimeters.

Cabin KAMAZ-4308

If we compare the cabin of this vehicle with other modifications of trucks from the Kama Automobile Plant, then it is the 4308 that is considered the most comfortable. It is noteworthy that the manufacturer did not provide any special changes to the cabin of the car in question. However, a plastic radiator grille, a new bumper, and rectangular headlights radically change the appearance of the truck.

In order to increase the service life, the manufacturer used a cataphoresis primer. First of all, with such a coating the risk of metal corrosion is minimized. However, total priming of the KAMAZ-4308 cab can hardly be considered a good solution. For example, MAZ used galvanized surfaces in its analogue. As for the Kama plant, today it does not use this technology.

Seats for KAMAZ-4308 are manufactured in Germany by Grammer. By the way, the same company produces seats for KAMAZ-62507. Otherwise, the German manufacturer is known for accepting orders for car seats from many brands throughout Europe. Accordingly, the Russian plant produces cars that are equipped with the most comfortable seats, which are not inferior in quality to their world counterparts.

As for the interior body kit of the KAMAZ-4308, it is made of durable plastic that is resistant to all mechanical influences. Among other things, this material is not afraid of significant temperature changes. Without a doubt, this characteristic is extremely important, since the possibilities for using this brand of car in almost all climatic zones are expanding.

The torpedo on KAMAZ04308 was made slightly rounded. To adjust the system components, the driver does not need to have special knowledge and skills. Door cards, the appearance of handles, locks - everything is reminiscent of some car models from the Volzhsky Automobile Plant.

In most cases, cars of this model are equipped with the KamAZ-141 gearbox.

This device with gear ratios from 5.62 to 0.72 is easy to repair, and due to the fact that it was designed for engines of higher power, it has a certain margin of safety for bearings and mating components.

The KamAZ company soon plans to abandon the production of this box, transferring its production conveyors to the CF KAMA subsidiary. In some cases, the model 4308 is also equipped with a ZF part.

Trucks equipped with 4ISBe are equipped with 6S700 gearboxes, and 6ISBe are equipped with 6S1000 model gearboxes. The production of these components is also planned to be launched at the CF KAMA enterprise.
