Regardless of the chosen configuration, Beam MB 1 has advantages that distinguish it from its competitors. So, among the advantages we can highlight:

easy handling, absence of any effort when turning, the walk-behind tractor is equipped with a chain gearbox and V-belt drive, which ensure a smooth ride and improve cross-country ability; the equipment is equipped with wheels and a quick-release steering wheel. This feature increases the versatility of the design, and thereby facilitates the transportation of equipment. The walk-behind tractor's equipment list includes pneumatic rubber tires with deep tread. Such tires provide ideal grip on gravel and other relief surfaces, the presence of vertical steering wheel adjustment, and the presence of special wings on the wheels

These elements reliably protect the wheels from soil, which is extremely important when operating in field and muddy conditions; durable transmission, which includes two forward and two reverse gears; high power potential of all motors, without exception, offered for this model

In general about this technique

Most owners speak of the Favorit brand walk-behind tractor as a strong, reliable, hardy and unpretentious equipment that works for several seasons in a row without causing problems. The quality of the metal from which they are made does not raise any complaints. These walk-behind tractors are equipped with strong gear reducers and have good handling and maneuverability. With its compact size, the Favorit walk-behind tractor is capable of immediately and efficiently processing a strip of soil up to 85 cm wide and up to 20 cm deep in just one pass.

By reinstalling the drive belt pulleys, you can change the speed of the walk-behind tractor, adjusting them for specific work in the range from 3 to 11 km/h. To ensure ease of use of the walk-behind tractor, the steering wheel with controls can be adjusted in height and rotation angle in the horizontal plane - this possibility of adjustment is specially provided for by the design. The handles are comfortable, special anti-vibration, which minimize the negative impact of vibrations on the hands and maintain a certain comfort for the operator while working with the walk-behind tractor.

The Favorit walk-behind tractor comes with good quality cultivator cutters, which allow you to cultivate the soil with different productivity - depending on the installation of two, four or six cutters.

Peculiarities

The steering wheel of the car can be adjusted horizontally in terms of the angle of rotation and also in height without any particular difficulties. Special vibration-absorbing handles significantly reduce the extremely negative impact of vibrations on the operator’s hands, which ultimately makes his work easier. At the same time, the handles are made of high-strength plastic, which protects a person from injury during operation. In addition to all of the above, Favorit walk-behind tractors have excellent balancing, guaranteeing optimal maneuverability and stability while the machine is operating.

The standard equipment of the unit includes basic cutters that allow you to process various types of soil. Each walk-behind tractor has pneumatic tires that provide ground clearance of 150 millimeters. These tires improve the overall functionality of the car while driving. “Favorit” is able to change the width of one-time tillage, which in turn provides an excellent opportunity to use the device in areas of various sizes and shapes.

About the engines of the Favorit walk-behind tractors

Kovrov walk-behind tractors “Favorit” are equipped with single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engines. Both carburetor (petrol) and diesel engines are presented. Any of the presented versions of the Favorit engine is produced in the People's Republic of China.

Engine brands used by the Degtyarev Plant: Lifan, Honda (a Japanese company, but the engines are made in China), Chongqing Winyou, Tecumsen, Intek, Briggs & Stratton. Power range: 6…6.5…7 horsepower. All of them are extremely easy to maintain and economical to operate. In addition to walk-behind tractors, these engines are intended for use as a source of energy in other industrial and agricultural devices: in tamping machines, on ships, in light vehicles, in mobile compressors and power plants (electric generators), in washing devices for passenger cars.

This power is more than enough for such light equipment as the Favorit walk-behind tractor. According to reviews from owners, sometimes you even get the feeling that it contains more “horses” than is indicated in the passport. The Kovrov plant carefully and competently selects engines for its walk-behind tractors. The quality of workmanship and assembly is at a decent level. All seals and gaskets are made as needed; nothing drips, oozes or leaks. There are also usually no unnecessary questions at work: the engine starts quickly and easily, even in winter. Fuel consumption is economical, which is good news.

Sometimes the owners of “Favorites” pay attention to the fact that the carburetor’s performance is sometimes upsetting: due to its fault, the speed “floats” a little at idle.

One owner said that after the winter, during which he first left the walk-behind tractor stored at the dacha, it categorically refused to start. The engine did not show the slightest hint of this - nothing. I changed the spark plug but it didn't work. I removed the carburetor to wash it, and then it was discovered that the valve in the carburetor had become soured during storage. After I developed it and installed the carburetor in its place, the engine started with half a turn. After that, the candle worked for six years.

When operating, the engine must not be tilted at an angle of more than twenty degrees. Because when working on a steep slope, improper supply of lubricant occurs even at the maximum oil level. Incorrect supply of lubricant even at the maximum oil level occurs, and this can lead to jamming of the motor.

The engine of the Honda GC 16O model is not equipped with an emergency stop switch, and therefore there is no ignition switch on the steering wheel. The ignition switch on this engine version is combined with the carburetor throttle control lever. The motor is stopped by moving the lever to the “Stop” position.

Technical parameters of the running engine of the “Favorit” walk-behind tractor – diesel Chongqing Winyou model 173F:

  • Engine displacement: 284 cm3.
  • Cylinder diameter: 73 mm; piston stroke: 68 mm.
  • Engine speed: 3 thousand rpm.
  • Maximum power output: 4.41 kW, or 6 hp.
  • Overall dimensions: length – 50 cm; width – 34.5 cm; height – 37.6 cm.
  • Engine weight – 30 kg.

The direction of rotation of the engine crankshaft is counterclockwise (facing the output shaft). The engine is lubricated under pressure by splashing. The oil used is 15W-40 CF-4, its volume is 0.9 liters. Starting method: manual starter and optional electric starter.

Run-in

Motoblocks Favorit are reliable special equipment with a long service life. However, it needs proper and regular maintenance. During the first hours of operation, it is necessary to run-in the device. During this period, the main elements are broken in and the equipment systems are checked, therefore it is not recommended to turn on high speeds. Run-in begins with inspecting the walk-behind tractor, adding oil and fuel. After this, the engine starts. It should idle for at least 30 minutes. After this, you can gradually increase the power. At the same time, the performance characteristics of the model are actively reviewed, work is performed in all gears, and possible problems are identified. Run-in of Favorite walk-behind tractors is usually performed at 30-50% of their capabilities. Thus, it is better to perform cultivation at a depth of no more than 100 mm, and transport cargo with a mass of 150-200 kg. It is unacceptable to overload equipment during this period, as this can cause serious damage. The duration of the running-in should not be less than 18-20 hours. Upon completion of the process, the engine oil is replaced. After break-in, periodic maintenance should be performed, which will help to maximize the service life of the device.

It is no coincidence that Favorit motoblocks are very popular among Russians. The main advantage of these models is reliability and high technical characteristics, which are complemented by accessibility and ease of maintenance. special equipment is ideal for summer residents and gardeners who decide to reduce wasted time on their site.

Transmission reviews

Torque is transmitted to the wheels by a belt drive between the engine and transmission. The transmission of Favorit walk-behind tractors has two gears and reverse. The lever, by the way, according to some owners, is located, in their opinion, quite deep, and reaching for it is not very convenient. This lever on the left handlebar can also be called a “clutch”, since when it is pressed, the walk-behind tractor begins to move. The gas handle is, in principle, comfortable, but it is made in a rather flimsy way.

The power transmission includes an engine gearbox (double-shaft gear) with a power take-off pulley. The gear ratio of the engine gearbox is 2.27. Drive belt – type B (B)-850 IV; GOST 1284.1-80. Cultivation of soil with milling cutters is carried out well in the second gear of the walk-behind tractor. Changing the cultivation speed can be achieved by changing the gear ratio of the V-belt drive - by reinstalling the pulleys that are located on the engine gearbox and on the walk-behind tractor gearbox.

Modernization

The Tuchok walk-behind tractor is a fairly old piece of equipment, so its entire refurbishment is quite appropriate. In addition, it is now quite difficult to find a new unit, so all motor units presented for public sale have already been used for a certain time.

The MTZ-82 tractor can be called the real pride of the post-Soviet industry. Here are all its advantages and technical characteristics.

ZIL-130. the most common truck of the Soviet era. Zil 130. is a very functional, fast and quite comfortable development for its period of time.

In the past, the process of cultivating land was very long and difficult because the farmer's tools were not as efficient as they are now. Here everything is about different models of the Pskov plow.

As for some improvements, we can highlight several examples of useful improvements, in our opinion:

  • The first thing you can try is replace. this front drive tension belt. The fact is that a regular roller is very noisy at work, especially after prolonged use.
  • The reason for this is that the bearing's grease has dried up and there is no way to replace it with a new one because its sides are accelerating.
  • As a replacement, you can use a roller from the timing belt of a VAZ 2112 car (or similar). There are two springs on both sides of the roller. one is the main one, leading to the control lever, and the second pulls the roller back.
  • You can also weld a new muffler. From the old one we have a cast iron elbow, which is quite problematic to weld anything. This problem is solved by simply referring to the turners who cut the thread, where you can already weld the steel angle.
  • The muffler unit is taken from the PD 10 engine, which is located at the very end of the exhaust pipe. The same corner that was used in the base of the homemade muffler is welded above the bank.
  • Some changes require engine modification. The fact is that the personnel board goes in one straight line and connects to the air purifier with a rather short hose.
  • It is discovered that the oil mixture enters this hose, which causes the oil to move further into the air cleaner and then into the carburetor. To get rid of these consequences, you can use a longer hose by placing it in a loop.
  • Even if some oil mixture gets into this hose, it will not be able to go further, but will return back to the engine.

About performance and driving performance

Working on the site with the “Favorit” walk-behind tractor is not at all difficult; you don’t have to make any significant efforts for this: you just need to carefully hold it in the furrow, and that’s basically it. It should also be noted that there are several options for working width, thanks to which almost any soil is normal for a walk-behind tractor.

The depth of soil cultivation (up to 25 centimeters) depends on the position of the coulter: the deeper the coulter enters the soil, the deeper it is processed with cutter knives. When the motor of the walk-behind tractor begins to increase speed with a simultaneous decrease in the depth of processing, you should press the steering handles and deepen the coulter. When the walk-behind tractor does not move forward, and the blades of its cutters are “buried,” you can slightly lift it by the steering handles, and it will come out of this position. When the walk-behind tractor “leads” towards the treated area, this means that a small part of the cutters follows the treated soil. You need to move the walk-behind tractor in the opposite direction. When cultivating light and loose soils, it is necessary to ensure that the cutters do not go completely deep into the soil and thereby overload the engine.

However, in general, when it comes to virgin soil, here the “Favorite” does not have enough power, which is why the knives of its cutter simply do not turn. There is also not enough weight, which is why the wheels simply begin to slip. On hard soils, virgin and turfed areas, tillage is possible only in several passes, each time increasing the depth of tillage and changing the position of the coulter. And - with a minimum rotation speed of the cutter blades (only in first gear).

If someone plans to cultivate (plow and cultivate) land with a walk-behind tractor that is new or has not been cultivated for several years, then models like the “Favorite” may not be suitable for solving this problem at all. Here you will need to use compact equipment that is more powerful and heavier.

This drawback is compensated by the fact that even a young man or woman can handle “Favorite” quite easily. In addition, light weight means compact dimensions. “There is a MTZ walk-behind tractor nearby. People regularly contact his owner and invite him to cultivate the land in his garden. He immediately asks how to get to the site. If there is a fence without a gate, only with a gate, then he refuses. And “Favorite” – it can go everywhere and not spoil anything. He even enters the elevator and apartment door freely. For the first two seasons, I didn’t have a suitable place at the dacha to leave it - I took it home to my apartment,” says one of the owners.

Due to the fact that the “Favorite” walk-behind tractor is quite light, when a trolley is hooked onto it, the entire load must be transferred to its front part, otherwise it may not be able to pull it: it slips.

Large and wide wheels with pneumatic tires provide acceptable ground clearance, facilitate movement and improve the functionality of the device involved in the transportation of goods on the farm. The Favorit walk-behind tractor handles almost all surface unevenness – holes and bumps – quite confidently.

Unit design

As mentioned earlier, the Luch walk-behind tractor has a simple design that allows it to operate for a long time without any breakdowns. When studying the internal structure of this universal unit, the most important components should be highlighted. Among them, worthy of mention are:

  • motor;
  • clutch mechanism;
  • gearbox;
  • two wheels, as well as a handle with controls.

The device uses an internal combustion engine model DM-1 as a motor, which belongs to the category of four-stroke gasoline engines with 1 cylinder. To prevent overheating during operation, air cooling is used, and the piston diameter is 7.6 cm.

The transmission of the unit is simple, it is of the worm-gear type, which guarantees a long service life, as well as the absence of problems during intensive use. The walk-behind tractor clutch, as on most domestic models, is manual and allows you to switch between 4 gears.

The design of the gearbox requires separate consideration, since it is a key element on which the correct operation of the walk-behind tractor depends. It provides for the following components:

  • frame;
  • chains, handles and shafts used for shifting;
  • output shaft;
  • 3 blocks of stars.

There are models on sale with both pneumatic and cast wheels, which allows you to choose the best option. The tread has a simple pattern, and the wheels themselves must be installed with the corners forward for normal operation.

About attachments and options for their use

The official list of additional equipment recommended by manufacturers for use with the Favorit brand walk-behind tractor includes the following agricultural and other implements, trailed and mounted: P1-20/2 or “Mole” plows; hillers OH-2/2; hitches CB 1/1 “Favorite”; lugs 46Ох16О; trailed trolleys TPM-350-2; shovels (ploughs for snow removal) motoblock Favorit"; motor-block sweeping brushes ShchM-O,9; walk-behind mowers KM-O.5; walk-behind snow blowers CM-O,6; harrows; potato diggers KB-2 12; SU-4 frames.

Users are pleased to note that additional accessories and spare parts for Favorit walk-behind tractors, as a rule, cost much less than similar products from other walk-behind tractor manufacturers.

The design of the Favorit walk-behind tractors includes a power take-off shaft (PTO). According to the manufacturer’s recommendations, it is intended for connecting a water pump, mower, snow blower, sweeper, and potato digger to the walk-behind tractor. From this list there is a certificate of use of the “Favorit” walk-behind tractor with a potato digger. The owner notes that, in general, the walk-behind tractor copes with the work of this equipment. But with great difficulty, it is not very convenient to work.

One of the owners says that they additionally purchased three-row cutters for the walk-behind tractor. The main tools of labor, besides them, are also the plow and hiller. After several seasons of use, a walk-behind rotary mower was purchased. However, the owner did not like the quality of her work. He says that the mower is also driven by a belt, and when mowing thick grass, the belt begins to constantly slip, and the rotary mower simply wraps the grass around itself. Therefore, you have to stop often and constantly clean it. Therefore, a segment-type mower for the Favorit walk-behind tractor will be preferable.

If someone does not want to trample on the arable land, and thereby trample the already cultivated part of the plot, then it is possible to turn the steering handles to a certain angle, which allows the operator to be not just behind, but behind/side of the walk-behind tractor.

During operation, the space between the rotary blades and the gearbox housing can periodically become clogged with grass and, in particular, weed roots. In each such case, in order to avoid damage to the V-belt, it is necessary to immediately stop the walk-behind tractor and remove the roots and stems stuck in this place, cleaning it.

To perform operations with a plow, hiller, walk-behind shovel and snow blower, it is necessary to use additional lugs on the wheels. Moreover, when working with a plow, it is also advisable to use weighting agents for the walk-behind tractor.

The load capacity of the trailer for the Favorit walk-behind tractor is 400 kilograms. The owners independently equip it with homemade or, for example, seats removed from somewhere in the stadium.

General information

The model has been produced for more than 10 years and boasts a variety of attachments. All options are purchased additionally, but they significantly improve the capabilities of the machine. The walk-behind tractor is designed to perform a wide range of tasks. For example, it is widely used in the economic sphere, where fast and efficient tillage is required. In addition, the walk-behind tractor is very popular in livestock farming. Due to this, the Neva MB 1 is considered an almost indispensable transport vehicle for farmsteads.

It is known from history that he mastered the production of agricultural machinery in 1985, and from that time the production of the legendary Neva was organized.

In 2002, the walk-behind tractor underwent a deep modernization. Then a subsidiary was created, designed specifically for the assembly of the Neva. Now this plant produces 4-stroke engines, attachments, as well as cultivators and walk-behind tractors.

Cost of walk-behind tractor "Favorit"

The official website of the Degtyarev Plant currently lists four models of walk-behind tractors under the Favorit brand. Their price ranges from 31,700 rubles to 37,400 rubles (walk-behind tractor with a 7 hp engine and an automatic clutch). A used “Favorit” walk-behind tractor can be purchased for 15-20 thousand rubles. This technique is quite popular and widespread, and advertisements for its sale are available in different regions of the country.

According to official documentation, the fuel consumption of the Favorit walk-behind tractor is indicated as 1.3 liters per hour. It should be noted that the real figure is practically no different from the stated one. And in an hour you can do a lot of things with this walk-behind tractor. You cannot dig up as much soil manually, even during the entire daylight hours, as you can plow and cultivate with a walk-behind tractor in one hour.

They say that in small areas, sometimes more time is spent on reinstalling cutters and wheels than on the work itself. There is no doubt that in terms of replacing primitive manual labor; saving personal time and physical effort, the Favorit walk-behind tractor is very effective and pays for itself even in the first season of its active use.

Overview of the main models

The characteristics of the Favorit walk-behind tractor depend directly on its modification. It is important to note that this brand has one of the widest product lines. All models differ in engines and individual parameters. For example, a walk-behind tractor equipped with a Robin-Subaru EX17 engine is ideal for working on medium-sized plots of land. This device belongs to the budget series, which is equipped with a diesel power plant. The machine consumes very little fuel and is capable of working in medium-sized areas, plowing the ground to a depth of up to 250 mm. The engine capacity is 284 cc. cm, and fuel consumption is 1 liter per hour.

Selection rules

When purchasing equipment, first of all, you should decide on its class and power. The larger the area of land to be cultivated, the greater the load on the walk-behind tractor. This means that the heavier and more powerful unit will be required.

You also need to take into account the width and depth of plowing. Even for units of the same class, they can differ greatly. The wider the loosening strip, the faster the device will process the required area.

If you don’t want to limit yourself to simple loosening, then you definitely need to purchase equipment equipped with a power take-off shaft. This makes it truly universal.

You also need to decide on the transmission. For small areas that will not create a serious load on the device, a belt is also suitable. For more complex tasks, it is better to choose a chain or gear type.

Expert opinion Kuznetsov Vasily Stepanovich

If possible, it is better to check the equipment (or a similar model) directly in the store. This will allow you to see how it works, as well as identify shortcomings and defects in advance.

Before purchasing, be sure to inspect the unit for build quality. Everything should be well connected to each other, there should be no backlash, loose bolts and similar problems.

Design advantages

  • The power plant of the famous company Loncin is responsible for the performance. In fact, this unit is a copy of the Japanese Honda GX 200 engine
  • To adjust engine speed, a comfortable handle is provided, located under the operator’s right hand. It allows you to smoothly adjust the speed, thereby avoiding various twitches and jerks.
  • The standard equipment of Ant-1 includes large pneumatic wheels. Their deep tread pattern provides outstanding off-road capabilities. Moreover, the product developers managed to achieve excellent traction with the ground, without any slipping.
  • Possibility of adjusting the steering column in different planes - both vertical and horizontal. It's very convenient and useful. For example, if it is turned into a horizontal plane, then trampling of the treated soil during plowing and cultivation can be avoided.
  • The equipment is supplied from the factory with a cyclone type air filter. Its design combines two filter elements - a paper and a foam rubber filter. This creates a double cleaning system.
  • The device is equipped with double protective wings, which are made of high-strength alloy. These wings are a kind of means of protecting the operator from soil ingress. If necessary, the wings can be removed.

How to make a plow for a mini tractor with your own hands. What is needed to design a plow

It’s quite possible to make a plow for a mini tractor at home, spending just a couple of evenings on it. Finding all the main components will not be difficult. To create a homemade plow for a mini tractor with your own hands, you will need:

  • welding machine and electrodes for it;
  • scissors for cutting metal;
  • rectangular iron pipe with dimensions 52x40x7 mm;
  • an iron pipe with a diameter of half an inch, similar pipes were used in old heating systems, so it will not be difficult to find;
  • several dozen M10 bolts;
  • getinax plate 25 mm thick;
  • wheels with a small diameter, for example, from a stroller or bicycle;
  • patience and intelligence.

Basically, a plow is attached to a mini tractor if the engine has less than 12 hp. Such units fulfill the purposes of hiller, cultivator and plow. Due to its special and simple design, it will help to cultivate any soil, and the quality of work will be equally high. This plow can be installed on both a mini tractor and a walk-behind tractor. In special situations, it is possible to turn off the traction and use a harnessed horse instead of the engine.
