Review of the Weima walk-behind tractor range. Characteristics, reviews

Description

The Veima WM500 walk-behind tractors themselves are not multifunctional. Veima VM 500 walk-behind tractors are most often used as a cultivator on plots of up to 40 acres.

Features of the Weima WM500 walk-behind tractor:

  • It has a gasoline four-stroke engine with a capacity of 7 horsepower and air cooling.
  • As standard, the device comes with a set of 4 cutters with a working width of 80 cm. This is a basic attachment that allows you to mix the top fertile layer of soil and improve productivity.
  • The height of the steering wheel can be adjusted to suit the specific height of the operator.
  • Protective fenders are installed above the tires. This allows you to protect the owner from flying dirt and dust from under the wheels.
  • The manufacturer offers two modifications of this device, which differ in the type of handles: the standard model is equipped with conventional handles in the shape of the letter “L”, and the improved model has a more comfortable steering wheel from the WM-900 model.
  • This model has standard 4.0-8 pneumatic wheels with high tread, which allow the device to reliably grip any type of soil.
  • Weima WM500 walk-behind tractors have high ground clearance, so they can move on any surface.

If you plan to use the Weima WM500 exclusively as a motor cultivator, then you can purchase the device without pneumatic wheels.

The following attachments are suitable for walk-behind tractors:

  • Plows;
  • Mowers;
  • Mills;
  • Trailers;
  • Adapters;
  • Potato diggers and potato planters;
  • Hillers.

Motor Sich walk-behind tractor and attachments. Experience exchange. Maintenance, repair, modernization

Go Rail, no doubt about it, but I didn’t have to choose. The only ones available were these and Viema diesels with manual start.

The service technicians didn’t say the reason (a factory defect, they didn’t specify what exactly), they just came and changed the engine. They installed it exactly the same as it was installed. To this day the flight is normal. The walk-behind tractor is operated with a rotary scythe, cutter, trailer and plow. There is only one conclusion - a lottery, if you take it - then only with warranty service, at least 6 months. If the sides don’t come out right away, he’ll run around.

fermer2014, And how does the nine cope with the cutter? Does it work with a gearbox or with the “face” raised?

"Neva" MB-2k. Motor Sich MB 4.05

Sergo 69, Works with a cutter without an angular gearbox, with an upturned muzzle. It copes well, you can still feel the power reserve, the oil level sensor does not respond to such a tilt (the engine does not stall). But on a spit rotor, when accelerating, I would like more horses.

tom8818, I haven’t had the opportunity to see the Weima engine live, but judging by the reviews, a 13-horsepower Weima is very appropriate for the Sich transmission. I myself believe that the Veima is less capricious and more predictable than the Sich engine.

Gray111, 11.3 hp, oil is not filtered, requires frequent replacement. So, in principle, good performance, but less resource. But in terms of predictability it’s the other way around. 8 has never let me down. But Veima is sometimes capricious.

Go Rail, Honda is also not filtered. After DM1, any Chinese engine seems like happiness to me. I have an eye with a lifan, a motor pump and a generator with Chinese engines. Everything starts up and works great. And all because they were ripped off from a modern Honda. Resource? This is also a controversial issue.

This is in the engine manual.

fermer2014 wrote: small combines have nothing to do with the seeds sold in the store. On the contrary, in most cases, it is used to create your own seed fund, so as not to buy a “pig in a poke.”

Where do you use Amaranth in plantation crops?

NAP, faster than anything he has for this.

Maros wrote: faster than anything he has for this.

On the collective farm they once tried to sow for food. Something didn't work out. The one that grows in the garden can be said to be a weed, it grows above 2 meters and is not easy to uproot in the fall. The corn and sunflowers are resting.

NAP, he has floriculture faster than livestock farming. The ground in the photo is good.

fermer2014, it’s always like this in purebred China – a lottery. No wonder they are cheaper than other engines.

Neva MB-2S6.5, MK Master 6.0

Gray111, the design is torn off, does not mean that the quality is the same. The cheapest cannot be the highest quality.

Neva MB-2S6.5, MK Master 6.0

They are sold in RB Motor Sich with a real Honda, at least 9, at least 13 l/s with an electric starter. Or with Rato 11 l/s.

NAP, I have not sowed amaranth yet, only in plans, scope of application - floriculture. Gray111, Chinese engines are not for everyone. Those who have tried to repair them will understand me. Chinese alloys are far from Japanese, so weima is only a move in appearance. But if you use it gently, the Chinese engines will run.

For your information, Honda GX160 is produced by WEIMA. They also make Husqvarna walk-behind tractors and snow blowers, two models of Briggs&Stratton diesel engines, and much more. Ask Husqvarna dealers.

User manual

Before starting to use the walk-behind tractor for the first time, owners of Veima WM500 should be sure to read the operating instructions.

You can download the instructions by clicking on the link: Operating instructions for Weima walk-behind tractor

This will help you start using it correctly and save the machine from possible problems that may arise due to incorrect handling of the device.

Service

A distinctive feature of Veima walk-behind tractors is their high build quality. In order to maximize the life of the device, you need to know the rules for caring for it. The schedule for carrying out technical work is given in the operating instructions.

Basic rules for servicing the Weima walk-behind tractor:

  • The engine oil in Weima WM 500 walk-behind tractors should be replaced every 25 hours of operation. To do this, you need to immediately drain the waste and then fill in a new one. It is recommended to use semi-synthetic all-season oil 10W-40.
  • It is also worth remembering about the transmission. It is necessary to change the oil in it every 100 operating hours. It is recommended to use Tap-15V or Tad-17i.
  • Control levers also need to be lubricated periodically. For these purposes, Litol-24 or Solidol are best suited. They not only allow you to lubricate these parts, but also protect them from moisture, since these lubricants are water-repellent.
  • After you have finished working with the Veima 500 walk-behind tractor, you should clean it of dirt and dust to prevent corrosion on the parts.
  • If you store the walk-behind tractor during the winter, you must drain the oil and gasoline from it. Over a long period of time, they will absorb water from the air and become unusable.

Vehicle information

The Veima walk-behind tractor is one of the most productive and affordable units in its class in not only Russia and Ukraine, but throughout Europe. The device has a fairly wide range of models, which allows the user to purchase the most suitable version of the machine to perform the planned operations. All products are characterized by a low price and absolutely modern technical indicators.

It is worth noting that the Veima walk-behind tractor is the absolute leader among other Chinese-made walk-behind tractors. This is explained by its enormous service life, thoughtful design, and reliability. In Russia, it closely cooperates with the Degtyarev Plant, which, in turn, checks Chinese walk-behind tractors on special stands, and then sends them for sale, providing subsequent after-sales service.

Owner reviews

This is what the owners of Veima WM500 walk-behind tractors say on the forums.

Alexander:

“I have only positive emotions from using this walk-behind tractor. The power corresponds to the declared one, the driving speed with a trailer is about 10 km/h. Pulls steadily and without problems. Small wheels are still a problem; they occasionally slip. I solved this problem by installing lugs.”

Michael:

“I spent a long time choosing a walk-behind tractor because I needed a high-quality, inexpensive assistant for every day. My site is located at an angle. In the middle price category, I took a closer look at the Veima VM500. The price is low, the characteristics are excellent. But the Chinese assembly makes you think. I decided to take a chance and was not disappointed. It consumes relatively little gasoline; the 3.6-liter tank allows me to fill it once and mill my entire 20-acre plot without any problems. Pros: Great functionality, stable engine speed, quiet running (my neighbor's Belarus howls throughout the entire village). Cons: Small wheels, heavy weight.”

Consumer opinion

Today, the Weima walk-behind tractor, reviews of which are mostly positive, is sold in almost every city in our country. At the same time, users note the stable operation of the machine’s engine, its sufficient stability during operation and decent build quality. Among the disadvantages, the owners of these motorized units point out the rather sensitive vibration that is transmitted to the hands during the process of milling the earth, and even special rubberized gloves cannot save the hands. It is not difficult to purchase spare parts for the Weima walk-behind tractor, and their cost is affordable and reasonable.

Features of operation and maintenance of Veima equipment

Weima walk-behind tractors are distinguished by high build quality, reliability, durability, and ease of operation. They consume high-quality diesel fuel, while gasoline models consume unleaded gasoline AI-92.

The manufacturer indicates in the operating instructions the recommended replacement times for consumables: air filter, engine oil filter, carburetor filter, engine oil, transmission oil, belts.

SAE 10W-30, 10W-40 brands are recommended as motor oil; replacement is carried out after 25 operating hours. For the transmission, TAD-17 oil is used, the frequency of its replacement is 100 operating hours. Lubrication of rubbing units and parts is carried out with waterproof universal lubricants such as Solidol, Litol-24.

Detailed recommendations for owners of Veima walk-behind tractors are described in detail in the factory operating instructions; timely maintenance and prevention can significantly extend the life of the equipment.

First launch, run-in

Typically, many models undergo pre-sale preparation and testing and are completely ready for use. Owners need to carry out a simple break-in. The procedure consists of a preliminary check of fuel and oil. Next, the Veima walk-behind tractor must idle for at least 10-15 minutes. Then the speed is gradually increased and operation is tested in different gears.

At the next stage, the functionality of the machine is checked with various attachments in different modes, taking into account that during this period - approximately 10 hours, the equipment should not be loaded to the maximum. Upon completion of the running-in, carry out the maintenance prescribed in the operating instructions.

Basic malfunctions, repair of Veima equipment

WEIMA walk-behind tractors in the Deluxe configuration are distinguished by the highest level of quality and flawless operation for a long time. Some models may exhibit certain assembly flaws or insufficiently high quality components and assemblies.

Veima walk-behind tractor repair

Often, owners note play in the steering wheel due to poor-quality casting of the teeth and difficulties with the adjustment screw. Gears do not always change smoothly due to errors in the gear gaps of the gearbox. Due to insufficient protection of the mechanisms and components of the unit, dirt, dust, and foreign objects get onto the moving parts, which leads to their rapid wear.

Possible malfunctions of Veima walk-behind tractors are described in the engine operating manual and instructions for the walk-behind tractor. The owner can easily handle minor breakdowns on his own; Weima equipment is repairable, and there are no problems with spare parts.

Proper running-in

Any Weima walk-behind tractor must undergo a running-in process. To do this, you should allocate approximately 8-10 hours of machine operation. This is done to ensure the proper level of grinding in of all new parts and assemblies of the walk-behind tractor. In this case, it is necessary to carry out the following technical operations:

  • Before each start, check the oil level and its condition. If necessary, top up.
  • Break-in intentionally begins with a full tank of fuel.
  • After starting the engine for the first time, you need to let it idle for about 5-10 minutes.

  • Be sure to pay attention to the gearbox and the position of the fuel handle. You need to try to get used to the walk-behind tractor and feel it as much as possible.
  • In the first 7-8 hours, all work is performed at 60% of the maximum engine power.
  • After running-in, be sure to completely change the oil in the power plant and transmission.
