How to adjust the carburetor on a Husqvarna 365 chainsaw

To adjust the Walbro HD 6B there are three screws on the carburetor body:

L – low speed adjustment;
H – high speed adjustment;
T – idle speed adjustment.

It is necessary to achieve a mode where the engine starts running smoothly from any position, and when the throttle is released, the chain stops rotating.
We adjust the jet H. Turn the screw H until it stops and unscrew it 1/4 turn. Let the saw run at maximum speed for 10 seconds. We monitor the nature of the sound. If the saw whistles at full speed, the mixture is too lean. In this case, screw H must be unscrewed another 1/4 turn. When configured correctly, the chainsaw slightly “quadruples” at high speeds (the exhaust sound is similar to the sound of a four-stroke engine). If the saw “quadruples” a lot and smokes heavily, then the mixture is too rich. In this case, screw H must be tightened slightly. Turn screw H until we achieve the correct engine sound.

When the carburetor is adjusted correctly, the chainsaw runs smoothly and slightly “quarters” at full engine speed. The chain does not rotate at idle. When the throttle is opened sharply, the saw picks up speed smoothly, without dips.
