The SKG-63/100 crane is a powerful self-propelled boom assembly full-rotary electric crawler crane. A special crane for the installation of heavy metal structures of buildings and structures, as well as heavy precast reinforced concrete. Thanks to the L-shaped layout of the tower-boom equipment, it is very convenient for long-span construction and easily replaces a tower crane, the installation of which requires a special foundation. When working on long reach or through the parapets of buildings, it is several times cheaper than suitable truck cranes.
Technical characteristics of the crane SKG-63/100
- The maximum lifting capacity of the main lift is 63 tons (15.74m boom) / 100 tons (12m boom).
- The maximum lifting height is 61.3 m.
- Maximum reach - 35 m.
- The maximum boom length is 35.94 m.
- shunting jib 15, 25, 24, 29 and 37 m.
- Weight with main boom - 85.6 tons.
- The width of the tracks is 5110.
- The power of the power plant is 100 kW.
- Network - 380 V, 50 Hz.
The boom itself, with the help of replaceable sections, can increase from 20.84 to 35.94 m, but is not able to change its position. In addition, a removable shunting goose is attached to the end of the boom.
Depending on the type of boom equipment, three types of replaceable counterweights are used: the main one - weighing 16 tons and two secondary ones - 9.2 and 13.2 tons.
The SKG-63/100 has a multi-motor diesel-electric drive at its disposal, which requires three-phase alternating current with a voltage of 380 V. The SKG-63/100 cargo crane receives power from its own station or from an external network.
Transportation of the crane is possible only in disassembled form. The most common means of transporting equipment, including the undercarriage, crawler, boom, turntable, jib, and interchangeable sections is by rail.
While the loading of the turntable is carried out with its own devices, the loading of the fixed frame with crawler bogies and boom equipment using an additional crane with a lifting capacity of 40 tons. Assembly units is carried out using self-loading devices for the turntable installed on the railway platform.

Information about Jib Crawler Cranes
Jib crawler cranes are widely used in construction and installation work. Cranes with short booms, equipped with a hook or grab, are used for loading and unloading operations, cranes with extended booms and jib - for installation of structures of industrial and civil buildings and technological equipment. Powerful special assembly cranes with a lifting capacity of 50-100 tons in many cases began to replace tower cranes.
Most crawler cranes have a rotating platform with a power unit, mechanisms, a cabin, and working equipment - replaceable booms with jib, hooks, and grabs. The rotating platform rests on the tracked undercarriage through a slewing bearing.
Typically, crawler cranes are equipped with interchangeable booms of various lengths with extension inserts and jib arms. A significant part of the cranes are manufactured in the form of universal excavator-cranes with replaceable excavator and crane equipment. There are several models of tractor-mounted fixed-rotating cranes.

The power plant used on cranes is mainly internal combustion engines with a diesel-mechanical or diesel-electric drive system. Some cranes have a single-engine or multi-motor electric drive with power supply from an external network.
Full-rotary crawler cranes have four working movements: lifting the load (speed for different models is 0.12-32.4 m/min), turning the boom (speed 0.25-9 rpm), moving the crane with the load (speed 0. 34—10.1 km/h) and change in boom reach with load. Most cranes allow combined working movements. The crawler crane is controlled by one operator, while some heavy excavator cranes are operated by the operator and his assistant.
The main advantage of crawler cranes is their high maneuverability and maneuverability within the construction site. These cranes do not require special paths for their movement and operate without outriggers. Low specific pressure (up to 1.5 kg/cm2 when moving with a load) allows them to work without special preparation of the site. The disadvantage of these cranes is their low speed of movement. They are transported over long distances on railway platforms or heavy-duty trailers. Heavy-duty cranes (E-2006, SKG-30, E-1254, E-1003, etc.) must be partially dismantled. Dismantling and installation of cranes requires extra time and additional equipment.
The variety of design and operational characteristics of crawler cranes and the associated technological capabilities of their use is characterized by a number of factors, the main of which were discussed in the chapter “Jib cranes”.
To make it easier to select a crane, all 58 models are conditionally divided by lifting capacity into 3 groups: 1) cranes with a lifting capacity of 5-10 g with a load moment from P.75 to 50 tm (23 models); 2) cranes with a lifting capacity of 15-25 g with a load moment from 54 to 137.5 tm (20 models); 3) cranes with a lifting capacity of 30–100 tons with a load moment from 150 to 600 tm (15 models).
Crawler cranes with a lifting capacity of 5-10 tons
Models E-252, E-2510, E-303, E-304, E-304A, E-2511, E-651, E-652, E-504 and E-505 are universal excavator cranes; models KTS -5E, KTS -5, TKE -58, TK-53, MKT -6 (MK-1) are mounted on tractors. Most cranes have a smooth change in lifting capacity and hook lift height as the boom radius changes. An exception is the MKT-6 (MK-1) crane, which, when working with a jib, has a constant lifting capacity at all reach lengths.
The length of the booms for all crane models (except for KTS -5E, KTS -5, TKE -58) can be changed using inserts; some cranes are equipped with replaceable booms 6.5-30 m long with jib 2.2 m long; 3; 4; 5 and 26 m (tower-jib version of the SKG -30/7.5 crane).
The operating mechanisms of the cranes of this group are driven by an internal combustion engine. The E-504 and PK-ZM cranes have an electric drive powered from an external network. Most cranes have a mechanical transmission to the working mechanisms of the crane.
Over long distances, cranes are transported by rail or on trailers in assembled form.
The E-352 model is made on the basis of a rotating platform and the main mechanisms of the E-257 excavator-crane; designed for work on soft soils allowing a specific pressure of no more than 0.2 kg/cm2.
Crawler cranes with lifting capacity 15-25 t
For most cranes in this group, the lifting capacity and hook lifting height vary smoothly. The exceptions are the E-801, MKG -20, SKG -30/13, MKG -25 cranes, for which for some jib booms the lifting capacity changes in combination. All cranes are equipped with replaceable booms of various lengths (from 11 to 32.5 m) and jib (except for models E-1003, E-1003A, E-1004, E-1004A, K-201 and DEK-25G, which do not have jib) .
The drive mechanisms of cranes of this group are diesel-mechanical (models E-10011, E-1004, E-756, E-754, E-801, E-1004A, E-1254, E-1258, E-1252) or diesel metric (models SKG -30/13, MKG -16, K-201, MKG -20, DEK -25G, MKG -25, SKG -25). Some cranes are available in two versions: with a diesel-electric drive and with electric motors powered from an external network (models E-1004 and E-1003, E-1004A and E-1003A, E-754 and E-753, E-1252, respectively) and E-1251).
Transportation of cranes is carried out by road or rail. With the boom removed, most of these cranes fit into railway gauge 1B. The load moment of the cranes is 54–137.5 tm, the hook lifting height is up to 38.2 m.
Crawler cranes with a lifting capacity of 30–100 t
All cranes are equipped with replaceable booms of various lengths and jib (except for models SE-3, E-2001, E-2002, E-2503).
Most of the cranes in this group have diesel-electric drive mechanisms; the E-2002, E-2006 and E-2508 cranes have a diesel-mechanical drive; models SE-3, E-2001, E-2503, E-2501 have an electric drive powered from an external network.
Over long distances, cranes are transported by rail or on heavy-duty trailers in partially disassembled form.
The load moment of the cranes is 150–600 tm; hook lifting height up to 62.1 m.
