Car GAZ-2775-0000010-01, 2006, VIN: X8C2775FJ60007654

I read a lot of horror films about gazelles and decided to also throw in some information for those interested, and express my opinion - a well-designed car, but with a disgusting assembly. If you want to ride. After buying a car, pick up the keys and tighten all the threaded connections yourself (don’t rely on service). check the lubrication, etc. and it will be a miracle. if on your new car the rear wheel hub seals do not leak. I have 8 years of experience in operating gazelles. The first was, after 2 tons, an isuzu elf 250 gas2705 with a 402 engine. which, to put it mildly, left not the best impressions (poor cabin heating system, poor headlights, outdated, engine that doesn’t like revs, maximum speed on the highway 110 km/h), was captivated by the low cost of operation. The second car was a GAZ2705 already with a 2004 405 engine. which radically changed my attitude towards the gazelle. It was used intercity, the speed on the highway on gasoline with a load of 1.5-2 tons was 140 km/h easily. Afterwards the limiter was activated. and on gas with the Italian system it accelerated to 150 mph. The cabin is warm, in winter on flights up to -40, outerwear hangs on a hook. Soft two-leaf springs allow you to drive over uneven roads at high speed, in front of which drivers of the same Japanese trucks are forced to desperately brake. On a car with 260 thousand km mileage I only had to replace two front springs. If the 1st leaf of a 2-leaf spring breaks, the entire spring needs to be changed; with a mileage of 100-200 km with one broken leaf, even on an empty car, microcracks form on the second leaf and when you disassemble the spring, one not strong blow to the ground with one is enough at the end, and at first glance, the whole sheet is broken in half. Succumbing to advertising and the advice of well-wishers, I bought two gas-oil shock absorbers (made in St. Petersburg) and installed them on the front. Did not like. Literally, during the first meters of driving on gravel, it feels as if there are MAZ springs on the front end. Well, so as not to waste anything, the next day I moved them back, and at the usual speed and a familiar hole, I successfully broke off the shock absorber mount on the rear axle. I concluded for myself: with oil shock absorbers it is more comfortable and cheaper. On this car, the average gasoline consumption according to measurements and according to the on-board computer is 13-14 liters on the highway. In winter, after spending the night outside at temperatures up to -35 without heating, it always started on the first try. After such a car, I had no doubt that the new car would only be a gazelle with 405 doors. The third was a gazelle with an isothermal body, with a cargo gearbox in the rear axle and 40522 doors. Under Euro-2 with 11 ECU 2007. The new car had the same “high-quality” assembly, also snotty rear wheel hub seals, but in addition the gearbox made an unpleasant noise when driving in 5th gear, the absorber worked on its own, regardless of the fact that there is a vacuum or increased pressure in the tank, and the most interesting thing is the Mikas -11 ECU. This unit can, under certain conditions, lead to an emergency or even an accident. The fact is that if you drive at high speed for several minutes and keep the gas pedal in one position, then when you release the pedal the car will continue to drive at the same speed and the computer will continue to turn the engine for not seconds but several minutes. In my case, the computer fell asleep for 4 minutes! On the previous machine, Mikas-7.1 was conceived for a maximum of a couple of seconds. How you will go around an obstacle that appears in front of you or stop on a slippery road, and even one going downhill with a turn, the designers are silent. The instructions say that this is not a malfunction. So when driving for a long time at high speed, you have to constantly play with the gas pedal to keep the ecu in good shape. The maximum speed of this car with a fairing is 130 km/h, the average gasoline consumption is 17 liters, and when working on city deliveries in winter, 20 liters. The engine, tuned for Euro-2, starts in the morning in winter even at -20 worse than its predecessor. that is, its electronic brains need more time to figure out what mixture to feed into the cylinders. I had no complaints about the painting of the 2004 car, but in the 2007, in the third year, three red spots with a diameter of 3 to 6 mm appeared at the lock of the left door and rust appeared at the bottom of both doors along the flange; there are also some on the radiator trim and hood numerous paint chips from flying stones, but no rust. Well, the rest of the car suits me. About the consumption of spare parts parts and operating costs I can give two examples of mine:

1 – gas 2705 dv 405 ran on gasoline and was serviced on gas at a car service center near the island. d. mileage for 2 years and 4 months 260 thousand km

replacing steering pins, kingpins and front brake pads every 60 thousand kilometers - 4 times, i.e. 4 sets.

Moreover, the fingers were changed in a circle, regardless of their condition, when play was detected in only one of them. For the replaced pads, the percentage of wear after winter was 50-60%

Rear pads - 1 set

Front springs - 2 pcs.

Release bearing x 1

Suspension bearing x 1

Water pump x 1 (due to the fan belt being overtightened, the shaft broke off, the pump assembly was replaced)

Brake light bulbs - 2 pcs. + 1 pc. rear turn signal

Spark plugs - 1 set (they were changed only at 120 thousand km and only because the central electrode burned out!)

Rear spring springs - 2 pcs.

Bolts for them - 6 pcs.

Fan belt - 3 pcs

Generator - 1 piece (the diode bridge failed, the generator was completely replaced)

Gearbox - 1 piece (at 90 thousand km, noise appeared in fifth gear, due to prolonged movement in this gear on a flat section of the road at a speed of 40-50 km/h. It was more profitable not to waste time on repairs but simply change it to a new one)

Ignition switch - 1 piece

At 204 thousand km - replacement of all intake and exhaust valves (after filling with “good” gas, after about 200 km of continuous driving, traction disappeared and terrible engine vibration appeared at idle, the remaining 520 km had to be driven on gasoline with almost two cylinders, fortunately at speed more than 100 vibrations were not felt and the car was empty)

Clutch hose - 2 pieces (located above the exhaust manifold and due to high temperature it is destroyed and can lead to a fire, later I changed its location in the pipeline and eliminated this problem)

One and a half ton truck GAZ-3302

There were practically no small commercial vehicles in the USSR, and of the relatively small trucks in the Soviet Union, only the GAZ-AA “lorry” was produced. But by 1950, production of the legendary truck was discontinued; subsequently, cargo was transported only by vehicles with a carrying capacity of at least two tons, and the dimensions of such vehicles were impressive. The need for transportation of small consignments of goods and cargo arose with the development of the market in Russia; the first in the class of light commercial vehicles (LCV) was the Gazelle.

At first, the one and a half ton GAZ-3302 vehicles were equipped with ZMZ-402 (Ai-92) and ZMZ-4021 (A-76) engines, mechanical 4- and 5-speed gearboxes, and a “Tchaikovsky” rear axle. The cabin was designed for three people, including the driver; the lorry could be equipped with an awning, which all on-board vehicles were equipped with from the factory.

The four-speed gearbox was frankly weak for a light-duty truck, and by 1996 the plant stopped installing them; cars were now equipped with only a 5-speed gearbox. Manual transmission. Also around this time, a bridge of its own design was developed for Gazel, and the Tchaikovsky (type GAZ-3102) was removed from the production line. In 1997, the car went into production with a carburetor 110-horsepower internal combustion engine ZMZ-4063.10.

In the entire history of its existence, the GAZ-3302 was restyled only twice - in 2003 and 2010, and since 1995, the all-wheel drive truck 33027 has been produced. In the last year of the pre-restyling version (2002), the production of vehicles with an extended frame began, the chassis received the index 330202. Although the vehicle's carrying capacity remained almost the same, it was already possible to transport long loads on a vehicle with an extended body. The technical characteristics of the GAZ-3302 (model 1994-2003) are as follows:

  • number of doors – two;
  • number of passenger seats (including passenger seat) – 6;
  • body type – pickup;
  • load capacity – 1500 kg;
  • wheelbase – 290 cm;
  • curb weight – 1600 kg;
  • rear/front wheel track – 156/170 cm;
  • maximum weight of a loaded vehicle (total weight) – 3.5 tons;
  • dimensions (length/width/height) – 5,120/1,970/2,120 m (height is taken from the cabin, excluding the awning);
  • ground clearance (clearance) – 17 cm;
  • wheel rim radius – R16;
  • tire size – 175/80;
  • gas tank volume – 60/70 liters, depending on the vehicle modification;
  • front/rear suspension - dependent, on leaf springs.

It should be noted that the first Gazelles were equipped with 60-liter plastic fuel tanks, and only later they decided to install 70-liter metal gas tanks. On the rear axle of the onboard GAZ-3302 there are two ramps on each side, the rear axle is mounted on springs.

Modifications

The Gazelle brand has long become a symbol of commercial transport in Russia. And since the specifics of light-tonnage transportation require a variety of vehicles, separate modifications of the popular van are created on the basis of the GAZ-2705 model.

In addition to the already mentioned Combi vehicles, since 2010 the Gorky Automobile, based on the 2705 platform. In addition to the commercial carrier, special vehicles have been developed: an ambulance, a cash-in-transit armored vehicle, a mobile medical laboratory, and a hydraulic service vehicle.

Gazelle 33023 Farmer

A year after the start of production of the flatbed 3302, GAZ began production of light-duty cargo trucks with a double cabin, the model was called “Farmer”. This modification of the car was originally intended for use in agriculture, but the mini truck quickly found use in other areas, in particular, the car was useful for transporting field crews.

The main difference between the GAZ-33023 and the 3302 is the cabin, the volume of which has been increased to four and a half cubic meters, and it has two rows of seats (six seats). Just like a one and a half ton truck, the Gazelle Farmer has a long-wheelbase version, as well as an all-wheel drive version of the car. In the pre-restyling version, the car was equipped with two types of engines - petrol carburetor engines ZMZ-402 (100 hp) and ZMZ-4063 (110 hp). and since 2000, the Farmer has been additionally equipped with GAZ-560 and 5601 (5602) diesel engines, assembled under license from the Austrian concern Steyr.

Gazelle Farmer GAZ 330232: technical specifications

GAZ 330232 is a Gazelle Farmer with an extended wheelbase; there are several modifications:

  • 330232-216 – with UMZ-4216 engine, with power steering;
  • 330232-404 – with motor ZMZ-40524;
  • 330232-408 – with ZMZ-40524 engine, with power steering;
  • 330232-748 – with Chrysler ICE 2400 cm³; with power steering;
  • 330232-531 – with internal combustion engine GAZ-5602, with power steering.

The GAZ-5602 engine installed on the GAZ-330232-531 car is a modernized version of the GAZ-5601 turbodiesel, unlike the latter, it already meets Euro-3 environmental standards (GAZ-5601 meets Euro-2). The wheelbase in the extended version is increased by 0.6 m; accordingly, the vehicle has larger “side” dimensions. All models are equipped with an oilcloth awning, the cabin is designed for six passenger seats (including the driver).

The Gazelle Farmer GAZ-330232 car with the ZMZ-405 engine has the following technical characteristics:

  • number of passenger seats (including the driver’s seat) – 6;
  • body type – pickup;
  • wheelbase – 350 cm;
  • presence of doors - two;
  • rear/front wheel track – 156/170 cm;
  • maximum weight of a loaded vehicle – 3.5 tons;
  • curb weight – 1820 kg;
  • dimensions (length/height/width) – 5,730/2,120/1,970 m (cabin height, excluding awning);
  • load capacity – 1000 kg;
  • ground clearance (ground clearance) – 17 cm;
  • wheel rim radius – R16;
  • fuel tank volume – 70 liters;
  • tire size – 175/80 (185/80);
  • rear/front suspension – leaf spring, dependent.

Advantages

The convenience of using such vehicles was that a professional driving license was not required to drive them, but the usual category “B” was sufficient. This applied only to cargo-passenger modifications - to drive passenger models, category D licenses were required. However, over 80% of the need for Gazelles was precisely the use of trucks that could serve small enterprises producing consumer goods for sale in urban retail networks.

Among other things, the Gazelle of the basic modification is not subject to the traffic rules 3.4 sign “Traffic traffic is prohibited” if the sign does not indicate the vehicle’s weight. Only in Moscow there are restrictions on the passage of Gazelles in the territories included in the Third Transport Ring. There is a system of passes and permits.

GAZ 2705 van

A few months after the release of the Gazelle Farmer, the Gorky Automobile Plant began production of the all-metal GAZ-2705 van (from December 1995). This vehicle is available with two cab options - a 3-seater and a 6-seater version (2705 “Combi”), the van has one sliding side door and two rear hinged doors. In the three-seater version, the vehicle has a carrying capacity of 1.35 tons, in the six-seater version - 1 ton.

In 1996, production of the all-wheel drive version of the GAZ-27057 began; in 2002, a modification of the commercial vehicle appeared with a plastic roof, which was located higher, and due to this, the useful volume increased (11 cubic meters instead of 9 in the standard version). The modernized cars received indexes 2705-90 and 27057-90 (all-wheel drive).

Technical characteristics of the GAZ-2705 van (with ZMZ 405 engine) are as follows:

  • number of passenger seats (including driver) – 3/6 (depending on version);
  • ground clearance (clearance) – 17 cm;
  • body type - van;
  • dimensions (length/height/width) – 5.540/ 2.210/ 2.070 m;
  • load capacity – 1350/1000 kg (depending on the type of van);
  • total number of doors – 4;
  • vehicle weight (curb) – 2080 kg;
  • rear/front wheel track – 156/170 cm;
  • tire size – 175/80 (185/80);
  • maximum weight of a loaded vehicle (total weight) – 3.5 tons;
  • wheelbase – 290 cm;
  • wheel radius – R16;
  • gas tank capacity – 70 liters;
  • rear/front suspension - on springs, dependent.

General information

The history of the GAZ 2705 series is inseparable from the history of the entire GAZelle family of cars. In the summer of 1994, employees of the Gorky Automobile Plant launched production of the first GAZelles. Almost simultaneously with this, production of the GAZ 2705 van began. The project itself took on large-scale forms in a short time. Van production opened in several countries at once. The reason for this was the huge demand for compact, economical and very cheap carriers intended for medium and small businesses.

The first GAZ 2705 cars appeared on the roads at the beginning of 1995. Almost immediately they managed to become the undisputed leaders of their segment. The car received an all-metal body and a streamlined front, which was loved by many. Four doors (rear 2-leaf hinged with an opening angle of 180 degrees, sliding on the starboard side and 2 front) made it easy to get inside. The cargo compartment was not equipped with glass. The vans were easy to maintain, had many available modifications, were unpretentious and highly maintainable. The first versions of the GAZ 2705 could not be called ultra-reliable, but the low cost forced many to choose this model. The exterior of the van turned out to be quite modest. It was characterized by a small radiator grille, uncomfortable mirrors that left large “dead” zones, and simple rectangular optics.

GAZ-3221

In the spring of 1996, the Gorky Automobile Plant began production of minibuses (minivan), the base model was called GAZ-3221. In the summer of the same year, the full version of the GAZ-32217 was released; the car was designed for use on dirt roads. The Gazelle minibus accommodates 13 passengers; a modernized version of the GAZ-32213 is also produced; it differs from the basic version in high soft seats.

The base of the minibus is van 2705; the GAZ-3221 minivan has the following technical characteristics:

  • curb weight – 2410 kg;
  • dimensions (length/height/width) – 5.5/2.21/1.96 m;
  • total number of doors – 4;
  • number of passenger seats (including driver) – 14;
  • tire size – 175/80 (185/80);
  • ground clearance (clearance) – 17 cm;
  • wheelbase – 290 cm;
  • rear/front wheel track – 156/170 cm;
  • wheel radius – R16;
  • body type – minivan;
  • maximum weight of a loaded vehicle (total weight) – 3240 kg;
  • gas tank volume – 70 liters;
  • rear/front suspension - on springs, dependent.

First restyling

In 2003, the Gazel underwent its first restyling, primarily the modernization affected the external appearance of the car:

  • The headlights became different, and if on the 1994-2003 model they had a rectangular shape (borrowed from the GAZ-31029/3110 passenger car), then the new car already had its own optics;
  • the hood acquired a different shape;
  • the front fenders have changed;
  • The factory decided to install new bumpers and radiator grille.

The changes also affected the interior - the instrument panel was changed, and the instrument panel was taken from the Volga GAZ-3110. The ZMZ-402 engine was discontinued and was no longer installed on the updated Gazelle. Since 2003, the restyled version has been equipped with the GAZ-5602 engine as standard, since 2007 - UMZ-4216, and since 2008 - ZMZ-40524.

"Gazelle Business"

In 2010, Gazel was restyled for the second time; this updated version is called “Gazelle Business”. There are few external changes in the restyled version (radiator grille, front bumper), mainly the new car features new components - many imported parts have appeared in this brand. The main installed power units are the Ulyanovsk UMZ-4216 gasoline engine (in two modifications) and the American Cummins 2800³ Chinese-assembled turbodiesel.

GAZelle-Next

In April 2013, GAZ began serial production of the Gazelle Next car, and this was no longer a restyling, but a completely new second-generation car. The design of the Next commercial vehicle has completely changed - its appearance corresponds to the idea of a modern car, and it looks no worse than any foreign car.

From the very beginning of production, only one type of engine was installed on the Next - a Cummins 2800 cm³ diesel engine. Subsequently, the line of power units expanded, it was supplemented by the Ulyanovsk Evotech E-4 gasoline engine with a volume of 2700 cm³. Although the transmission has been modernized, the car is equipped with the same 5-speed manual. The car does not have a gearbox or other gearboxes.

Video review

In terms of technical characteristics, the GAZ-2705 is one of the best in its class and is suitable for almost any consumer. The high-strength frame highway is highly resistant to any type of deformation, which allows the vehicle to be used not only on asphalt roads, but also on dirt roads and off-road. A special all-wheel drive modification of the GAZ-2705 is offered for farmers. Currently, the Gorky Automobile Plant produces over 60 versions of the car, differing in “filling” and overall characteristics.

All-metal vans built on the basis of this vehicle are designed as standard for 3 people. The “combi” design allows you to accommodate up to 6 people (the cabin is separated from the compartment by a blank wall). Increased demand for the model forces the Gorky Automobile Plant to regularly carry out changes and restyling of the car, improving its basic parameters.

Most of the transformations turned out to be minor and concerned individual nodes. So, in the early 2000s, the headlights, radiator and bumper were changed. Major modernization of the GAZ-2705 was carried out twice. Currently, the Gazelle is in its third generation.

This modification is both maneuverable and roomy, which makes it easier to transport goods in difficult urban conditions. Loading the car is quite simple: either through the sliding side door or through the rear hinged doors. The model has a loading height of 725 mm. The durability of the all-metal body is ensured by the use of advanced equipment used in the painting and welding process. The design of the van ensures driver comfort and increased cargo safety.

Reliable power plants of the Gazelle are combined with a 5-speed synchronized gearbox, created on the basis of a 4-speed gearbox from Volga.

Low cost coupled with low operating costs makes the GAZ-2705 an excellent option for small businesses.

Device

The basic version of the GAZ 2705 is based on a high-strength frame chassis. A dependent suspension was installed at the front with hydraulically operated telescopic shock absorbers (mounted at the front and rear) and longitudinal semi-elliptical springs. It includes a stabilizer bar that provides lateral stability. At the rear, a dependent suspension was installed on 2 semi-elliptic springs. It was additionally reinforced with a spring block and a reinforced transverse stability beam. Telescopic-type hydraulic shock absorbers were also used here.

All modifications of the GAZ 2705 used a standard brake system with two independent circuits, a vacuum booster and a hydraulic control drive. Ventilated disc brakes were installed on the front wheels, and self-adjusting drum brakes were installed on the rear wheels. The braking system itself was of an independent type and of diagonal action. The parking brake was a cam cam located on the rear wheels.

Despite the presence of many types of engines, the GAZ 2705 was equipped exclusively with a 5-speed mechanical synchronized transmission with a gear ratio of 5.125. The gearbox interacted with the engine through a hydraulically driven single-plate friction clutch. The steering mechanism of the car operated according to the “screw – ball nut” scheme. Most versions had power steering.

The GAZ 2705 model had an all-metal body with 4 doors. It did not offer a large amount of available space. In the basic version, 3 people, including the driver, could travel in the car. The cargo-passenger version (“combi”) was equipped with additional seats. For all versions, a metal partition was provided to separate the interior from the cargo compartment. The passenger seat was made double and equipped with 2 seat belts and high-stiffness headrests. Fabric and high-quality plastic were used to decorate the interior. The interior could match the exterior in terms of elegance. Before restyling, the interior was dominated by rectilinear shapes, and ergonomics left much to be desired. Subsequently, the developers improved the interior equipment, which added to the level of comfort and functionality. The driver's seat has received more settings. However, the car was noticeably inferior to foreign competitors in this parameter.

Specifications

The parameters of the GAZ-2705 allow you to feel confident in dense city traffic and on dirt roads. In the basic version, the model has the following dimensions:

  • length – 5500 mm;
  • width – 2075 mm;
  • height – 2285 mm;
  • wheelbase – 2900 mm.

The track of the front wheels of the car is 1700 mm, the rear - 1560 mm. Ground clearance is 170 mm and the minimum turning radius is 5500 mm.

The model has a curb weight of 2500 kg. GAZ-2705 accelerates on a flat section to 115 km/h. Depending on the engine, the model has different dynamic characteristics. For most modifications, acceleration time to 60 km/h is 14 s, to 100 km/h – 40 s.

The maximum gradeability for a fully loaded vehicle is 26%. The cargo compartment holds up to 6 cubic meters.

Price

The price of the new GAZ 2705 model varies depending on the selected modification. The price tag for the basic model (van with a UMZ engine) starts from 514,000 rubles. A similar model with a dual-fuel engine (gasoline and propane gas) will cost 539,000 rubles. The cost of top modifications (combi with a Cummins diesel engine) starts from 743,000 rubles.

The Russian market offers a huge number of used GAZ 2705 cars. Here you can choose a good option at an affordable price. Experts do not recommend buying these cars older than 2005, since their condition is usually unsatisfactory. Models of 2007-2008 will cost 140,000-210,000 rubles, 2011-2012 - 250,000-330,000 rubles, 2015-2016 - 410,000-520,000 rubles.

Fuel consumption of GAZ 2705 per 100 km.

The fuel consumption rate of the GAZ-2705 depends on the type of engine installed. At a speed of 60 km/h it is:

  • “ZMZ-4063.10” – 10.5 l/100 km;
  • “ZMZ-40522” – 9.5 l/100 km;
  • "GAZ-560" - 8.5 l/100 km;
  • “GAZ-5601” – 8 l/100 km;
  • “GAZ-5602” – 8 l/100 km;
  • “UMZ-4215.10” – 11 l/100 km;
  • “UMZ-4215.10-10” – 11 l/100 km;
  • "UMZ-4216" - 11 l/100 km.

At a speed limit of 80 km/h, fuel consumption increases by an average of 2-3 liters.

Engine

The Gorky Automobile Plant produces about 60 modifications of the GAZ-2705 with various power plant options:

  1. “ZMZ-4063.10” is a 4-cylinder, 4-stroke carburetor engine with a V-shaped cylinder arrangement and spark ignition. This unit runs on AI-92 gasoline and has a microprocessor ignition system.
