The Kama Tractor Plant is part of the legendary KAMAZ, but specializes directly in the creation of universal row-crop tractors. The model range includes five such machines, distinguished by their power, unpretentiousness and reliability. The KAMAZ tractor is universal and can be used to solve any type of agricultural problem.

Purpose

This equipment has average power, as well as good traction and mobility qualities. This allows it to be used for a full range of work in the agricultural field. Mainly this is plowing the soil. The Russian tractor from the Kama Tractor Plant has proven itself on the positive side when working on both small and large areas.

A significant advantage in speed, productivity and power over outdated models indicates the versatility of KAMAZ tractors. One such iron horse replaces several of its relatives of the previous generation.

Important! XTX models are manufactured under license from McCormick. Therefore, they use Western technologies and design solutions. Tractors are capable of processing large areas in the shortest possible time, while consuming a limited amount of fuel and oil.

The design of the tractors allows for the installation of a wide range of auxiliary attachments, which significantly increases the functionality of the machine.

Review of the model range of KAMAZ tractors

Agricultural business unexpectedly for the post-Soviet space has become economically profitable and export-oriented, which was difficult to imagine 20-25 years ago. It turned out that it was possible to produce products and sell them on the world market quite successfully. Agriculture can be profitable only if there is a high-quality material base and, above all, agricultural machinery.

KAMAZ OJSC is purposefully engaged in a program for the development of tractor manufacturing in the country. The famous manufacturer has five models of universal agricultural tractors. In the fields and farms, the KAMAZ tractor has come to the fore, it works and contributes to success, profits, and development.

The wheeled tractor mechanism of this manufacturer can also work in the construction sector, industry, and public utilities.

The model range consists of 5 tractors of different power and configuration: CMAX-85, KAMAZ CX-105, XTX-185, XTX-215, as well as a new model produced under the license of the McCormick concern - KAMAZ T-215.

Small KAMAZ tractors

Two models of KAMAZ vehicles - KAMAZ CMAX-85 , the KAMAZ CX-105 make up a group of small tractors. Mobile, agile, relatively powerful and economical machines work in the agricultural sector and have proven themselves to be useful equipment in small farms and production areas. Insignificant maximum power figures of 62 and 75 hp. do not deny high productivity, quite the opposite - tractors show good performance and profitability.

Medium power tractors

Medium XTX KAMAZ tractors - models KAMAZ XTX-185 , KAMAZ XTX-215 with a power of 199 and 224 hp.

Accordingly, they are applicable in agriculture for large-scale work that requires speed of land cultivation (sowing, harvesting), endurance, efficiency and work productivity above the average for a given farm and industry.

KAMAZ XTX-215 differs from its “competitors” in its high profitability, as a value dependent on productivity and economical consumption of energy and lubricants. The tractor is equipped with a new, efficient Power Management system, which provides significant gains in productivity.

XTX-185

This model is actually a complete analogue of the XTX-215. The only difference is that there is a less powerful engine installed here. This is IVECO BetaPower, whose power is 182 hp and the maximum torque is 850 Nm. The decrease in productivity, according to farmers' feedback, did not lead to a significant loss of power. The only difference is lower fuel consumption.

The KAMAZ XTX-185 tractor is equipped with an electro-hydraulic towing device and an eight-speed high-speed gearbox, so its traction characteristics are in no way inferior to the 215 model. If fully refueled, the machine can be operated for at least seven hours. You can also read about LTZ Tractors: Technical characteristics.

Optimal fuel consumption

The KamAZ CX 105 tractor does not require large expenses for fuels and lubricants. Its design contains elements that ensure optimal energy consumption necessary to perform a particular task.

For example, the hydraulic system is equipped with a closed type axial piston pump (PFC) with a flow control system. This means that the pump reduces or increases its output depending on the situation.

This happens by placing sensors in the control valves of the hydraulic system; they report the required pressure, which allows you to avoid wasting energy, and, consequently, saving fuel and lubricants.

CX-105

A small and economical tractor, an analogue of the McCormick-105, belongs to the second traction class. Well suited for use in small agricultural areas. Has enough power to carry out efficient work with heavy attachments.

Characteristics:

  • engine – Perkins 1104C-44T, power 100 horsepower;
  • fuel consumption – 202 g/kWh;
  • tank volume – 155 l;
  • gears – 8 forward and 8 reverse;
  • weight – 3800 kg.

Specifications

Dimensions:

  • length – 5307 mm;
  • width (standard wings) – 2300 mm;
  • width (widened wings) – 2510 mm;
  • height – 3012 mm;
  • wheelbase – 2873 mm;
  • minimum turning radius – 5400 mm.

The operating weight of the tractor is 5400 kg, the weight including ballast load is 8045 kg. The maximum load on the front axle is 7100 kg, on the rear axle – 16200 kg.

Characteristics of base wheels:

  • front – 540/65R30;
  • rear – 710/70R42.

SMAX-85

The tractor is compact in size and belongs to the small category. This is an option for private farmers who cultivate small plots. The production of such economical and unpretentious machines is aimed at meeting the needs of private agricultural land. This is a relatively light and maneuverable tractor. The existing characteristics are due to the installation of a 65 horsepower engine.

Advantages and disadvantages

The advantages of a Russian-made tractor from the KAMAZ plant are obvious:

  • impressive performance and power;
  • efficiency;
  • versatility, the ability to install almost any type of attachment;
  • highest load capacity in its class;
  • modern design, comfortable and spacious cabin, convenient controls;
  • use of high-quality foreign components.

The only significant drawback of such machines is their price. But this technique, thanks to its characteristics, pays for itself much faster than cheap analogues. Few can compete with KAMAZ in the skill of manufacturing complex special vehicles.
