Rotary trench excavators

Rotary excavators continuously excavate soil and move it along the work front without stopping or turning off the unit. Soil is cut using the teeth or edges of buckets on the excavator rotor, and it is unloaded onto a continuously rotating conveyor, from where the soil is dumped into a dump. The conveyor is located on one side, usually the left, along the path of the excavator.

Rotary excavators used in the construction of main pipelines are capable of digging a trench up to 2.5 m deep and up to 2.4 m wide.

Rotary trench excavators develop trenches with rectangular and trapezoidal profiles. To give the trench walls slopes, special slopes are installed on the working part of the excavator.

Bucket excavators

Single-bucket excavators perform work on complex, rugged sections of the route and on sections of curved inserts. They are also used to develop trenches in watered, unstable and loose soils, in loose rocks and in soils with various solid inclusions (boulders, large stones, crushed stone, gravel, etc.). Sometimes single-bucket excavators are used in combination with other earth-moving machines, in particular, with rotary excavators (in cases where the design data of the latter does not allow the development of trenches of the required depth).

EXCAVATOR ET-26

The ET-26 excavator is the result of joint development work of highly qualified specialists from the Tver and Kovrov excavator plants. ET-26 was developed taking into account the wishes of consumers received during the operation of ET-25 and EO-4225A-07 excavators. The ET-26 is equipped with an arch-type running frame with increased ground clearance. The running system was borrowed from the EO-4225A-07 excavator with modernization in terms of the use of running gear hydraulic motors with built-in safety and make-up valves. The drive system uses a 3-stage planetary drive gearbox with high torque. Hydraulic motors and final drives provide increased reliability of the excavator when moving, as well as the necessary traction force when overcoming climbs and when making turns.

The excavator uses a multi-support design of a crawler carriage with rigid installation of support elements with a tension mechanism for the caterpillar belt. High quality seals are used to seal the tension mechanism components. All these changes make it possible to ensure reliable operation and smooth operation of the excavator, depending on road conditions. The ET-26 excavator is equipped with a comfortable cabin of modern design that meets modern ergonomic standards. The cabin provides good visibility for the operator, has high vibration protection, noise insulation and a high-performance Zenit-8000 heating system, which creates a comfortable temperature in the cabin in a matter of minutes. The hydraulic system provides the ET-26 excavator with rational power consumption, smoothness, accuracy and speed during operation, depending on operating conditions and the nature of the operations performed. High-strength pipeline systems and reliable imported high-pressure hoses are used to connect hydraulic cylinders to the excavator hydraulic system. The design of the working equipment uses power hydraulic cylinders with a flange-mounted front cover and damping devices at the extreme points of the stroke. For high reliability of operation in any conditions, the excavator is equipped with a hydraulic pump and BOSH-REXROTH travel and rotation hydraulic motors. The layout of the hydraulic units fulfills the condition of a minimum distance for fluid flow, which significantly increases the operating efficiency of all hydraulics of the ET-26 excavator. The ET-26 excavator is equipped with a four-stroke six-cylinder diesel engine YaMZ-236M2 . To quickly start the engine at sub-zero ambient temperatures, a pre-heater is installed on the excavator, ensuring uniform heating of the engine and its starting at low temperatures. Perkins engine (England) can be installed on the ET-26 excavator , which is characterized by relatively lower fuel consumption and twice as long between repairs.
