Komatsu FD25T-16 is a time-tested device used in working with loads of various sizes. The machine is in demand in warehouses and retail premises, and retail terminals. The equipment also works effectively in open and adjacent areas, at airports, seaports and other places where work with large volumes of cargo is required. These may be hard-to-reach places with poor traffic, including agricultural areas. The chair is equipped with comfortable armrests that do not interfere with the operator when operating the loader. All loader control levers are located in close proximity to the operator. The cab design does not reduce the operator's viewing angle.

The forklift is equipped with a Komatsu 4D94LE diesel engine, which has proven itself to be trouble-free with timely and correct maintenance.

To protect the elements of the diesel engine fuel system, the loader has a three-stage fuel purification system, implemented specifically for Russian operating conditions.

The high performance of the forklift is ensured by its small overall dimensions, which allow it to work in cramped conditions. The running and lifting characteristics of the forklift are the best among its competitors. The first include increased ground clearance under the mast and loader body, high traction force and the ability to overcome steep slopes, and high travel speed. The second has high speeds of lifting and lowering the load.

The automatic transmission ensures smooth acceleration of the loader when moving, and the use of a driveshaft to transfer torque from the transmission to the drive axle significantly reduces vibration transmitted to the loader body, while increasing operator comfort.

Komatsu designers pay great attention to creating a comfortable workplace for operators. The loader is equipped with a proprietary Komatsu cab with a suspended structure, which reduces the transmission of vibration loads from operating mechanisms to the operator. Reduced operator fatigue improves operator productivity.

The loader is equipped with safety systems - engine start blocking when the speed is on, fork lowering blocking when the ignition is turned off, a system for detecting the presence of the operator at the workplace. These systems increase the level of operational safety.

The standard equipment of the loader includes all the options necessary for operation. At the same time, there are a number of additional options and equipment necessary to perform specific work and suitable for operating conditions different from standard ones.

Device Features

The Komatsu FD25-16 forklift received a cabin with a comfortable workplace. The cabin is fixed to the frame, and the mounting system itself has a shock-absorbing effect - thanks to a unique suspension system and pneumatic cushions. These components made it possible to soften impacts when passing obstacles, as well as reduce vibrations by 30%. The kit also includes a seat belt and, importantly, a full-fledged protective cage. The latter is especially necessary if the load accidentally falls.

Among the design features, we also note the fact that the developers managed to reduce “blind spots”, and thereby increase visibility to the sides. The cabin features anti-slip steps and a wide floor. The steering mechanism is equipped with an autonomous hydraulic booster. The engine compartment has increased sound insulation, thanks to which it was possible to improve noise standards under heavy loads. The engine received a heat removal system, which had a beneficial effect on reliability and protection from overheating during the hot season. The diesel unit is also equipped with an exhaust gas filtration system that meets European environmental standards EPA Tier2 and EU Stage2. Let's pay attention to the compact dimensions, large wheelbase and minimum turning radius, which is 2050 mm.

In addition to the above advantages, the Komatsu FD25T-16 forklift also has disadvantages. Among them, we note mediocre environmental performance when compared with electric machines. Catalytic converters and soot “catchers” help solve this problem, but they greatly increase the cost of the forklift, and in terms of price they put it on par with a full-fledged electric machine. In addition, the operator will still breathe exhaust gases, and this is very harmful to his health.

Let us note a few more disadvantages inherent in diesel forklifts relative to electric models: higher noise and vibration, the need for private maintenance, regular replacement of filters, oils and other consumables, as well as high requirements for fuel quality. In Russia, diesel fuel is considered one of the lowest quality, and this seriously affects the reliability of the engine. To reduce the negative impact, users have to buy dual fuel filters with water separators.

Performance

The Komatsu FG25T-16 series loader has a mast with two sections made of high-strength material. The mast can lift loads to a height of up to 3 m.

The loader engine and carriage are connected to each other by a special dual-type pump, which will allow them to operate in normal mode, regardless of each other. That is, when power is pumped into the carriage when lifting a load, the engine, in turn, does not lose power, but rather operates in normal mode. Moreover, the forklift can lift loads with ease even when the engine is idling. Due to this power distribution system, the loader consumes less fuel and thereby saves money. The Komatsu BX FG25T-16 loader has a long service interval - about 2000 hours.

  • The pusher is a retractable mechanism that is useful when loading/unloading cargo from one side. In particular, the pusher is indispensable in cases where it is necessary to move the cargo located in the car (or the body of a truck) to the opposite side of the car, and thereby create additional space for another box.   • A rotary blade is another attachment for cleaning warehouses from bulk materials, as well as snowdrifts. Designed for large volumes of cleaning bulk materials, and has a load capacity of up to two tons.
  • Solid wheels are a worthy alternative to worn-out factory wheels, which quickly wear out and become unusable. Solid tires consist of a regular metal disk, as well as heavy tires with a deep “toothy” tread that protects against damage and hard objects. In addition, such a tread will provide good cross-country ability and tenacious properties. And the heavier weight of the tires contributes to better load-carrying capacity.
