In order for the harvest to be truly high-quality, it is necessary to use accurate and reliable equipment that can provide the maximum level of productivity with a minimum level of crop loss. When it comes to harvesting corn, it is important to cut as much of the stalk as possible to eliminate debris. It is for the above reasons that it is very important to purchase headers only from trusted manufacturers, and not save money by buying models from unknown and cheap brands. Today the market offers customers a huge number of different models, each with its own advantages and features. The purpose of corn headers is to mow and transport agricultural crops. Do you want to buy corn headers that will help you achieve maximum harvest and prevent the crop from remaining on the field? Contact ATR GROUP.
Purpose of the KMS-6 header
The header is designed for harvesting corn.
Allows you to harvest both upright and laid down ripe corn by collecting the grain in the combine hopper, chopping and scattering the leafy stem mass across the field. The header has undergone modernization, thanks to which the weight has become smaller and the energy intensity has increased. Fuel consumption has decreased, while the productivity of field processing has increased: in the same unit of time, the header allows you to harvest 20% more crop.
The device can be installed on most types of combines using an aggregation kit. The updated device is easy to install; a minimum of time is spent on mounting and dismantling the header. The manufacturer installed more reliable and durable parts, due to which it was possible to increase the traction capacity of the header.

Harvesting corn is a complex process, the effectiveness of which depends on many external and on-farm factors. One of the key elements for success is the use of modern harvesting machines equipped with specialized equipment.
Today the market offers a variety of reapers, self-propelled and trailed units that allow you to harvest this crop in full and within a strictly established time frame. At the same time, the choice of machines and mechanisms is determined by compliance with the technological process and the tasks of the farmer - to obtain corn on the cob or for grain.
KEEP IT WHOLE
One of the main reasons for harvesting this crop on the cob is the ability to provide natural drying, which ensures full ripening of the grain, increasing its quality and shelf life. The purpose of the equipment used is to cut and chop the stems, tearing off the cobs, and scatter the mulch across the field. The collected raw materials are cleared of heaps and wrappers and placed in a bunker.
To carry out this process at agricultural enterprises with large acreage and high yields, all-wheel drive self-propelled combines are suitable. Thus, the KP-4 “Palesse MS4” with a YaMZ-53649 engine, a fuel tank volume of 500 l, a hopper of 3.8–10 cubic meters. m and an unloading height of 2.7 m, harvests cobs in full ripeness for seeds. In addition to the main functions, the device separates free grain from a heap of wrappers and sends it to the tray. The KP-6 “Palesse MS6” equipment collects raw materials with a moisture content of no more than 25%, leaving a minimum stubble height of 10 cm. The unit is equipped with a Dong Feng engine, the unloading height of the resulting crop is up to 2.7–3.2 m, and the bunker volume is up to 10 cubic meters. m and a fuel tank of 500 liters, it has increased cross-country ability and operates in all soil and climatic zones, except for mountainous areas. It should be noted that both models achieve good production parameters - minimal losses and damage to grain and cobs, while allowing for their movement on public roads. The combines provide comfortable working conditions, are equipped with a cabin with a panoramic view, air conditioning and heater, protection from dust, noise and vibration, and are distinguished by an ergonomic arrangement of controls. In addition, an analogue of the KP-4 “Palesse MS4” is being promoted to the Russian market - a self-propelled four-row cob harvester 4-YZQ-4 (KPS-4) of Belarusian-Chinese production. It uses a 360L CA6DF2D-16G engine and a hopper that can hold up to 4.6 cu.m. m cobs.
GENTLE APPROACH
For use in a small area, as well as for collecting seed species and ears of special varieties, such as colored corn, combine harvesters from the Serbian company Berko are widely popular. Single-row machine Berko-014, aggregated with tractors with a capacity of 23 hp. pp., characterized by an unloading height of 2.3 m and a productivity of up to 0.5 ha/h. The two-row Berko-025 unit differs from its analogues in its good maneuverability, knives directed horizontally to the soil surface, and a cob separator with six pairs of rubber rollers. The machine has a lighter weight and a center of gravity that does not overload the traction too much, and requires lower tractor power. It is also possible to adjust the distance between the wheels by 2.1–2.8 m, which allows the equipment to pass along already assembled rows. In addition, the combine has a simple design and a small number of consumable parts, which, in the event of a breakdown, makes it possible to repair it directly in the field.
For harvesting corn on the cob, different enterprises also use four-, six-, eight- and nine-row Geringhoff headers with a solid or folding frame and different types of chopper. Thus, devices with an integrated design, including a roller with knives and a cutting plate, consist of fewer components and have a reduced weight compared to straw choppers. At the same time, the Geringhoff Rota-Disc headers, where feed and kneading rollers are combined with disc knives, and the Geringhoff RD 1200B, compatible with the New Holland CR 9080 combine and including a sunflower harvesting kit, are considered one of the most progressive and effective. After using these two models, additional chopping of stubble and stems is not required, and it is immediately possible to cultivate the soil for the next season. The Geringhoff Mais Star, which has four rear-mounted blade rotary knives, is typically used when corn stover needs to be used for livestock feed or fuel. In the Geringhoff Horizon Star model, the knives are placed horizontally. Two rotors of different diameters receive and pull the stalks, crushing them and separating the cobs on the harvesting plates. The unit has a hydraulically foldable design and automatic chain tensioning. The creators of this equipment promise gentle harvesting, maximum productivity, a quiet and uniform working stroke, good traction and no slippage, since a reverse drive is used instead of chains and belts. In addition, the machines are characterized by quick and easy adjustment depending on the conditions, long service life and minimal maintenance.
COMBINE WITH COMBINE
The all-frame eight-row header Mais Flora Corn 870 is a copy of the Italian Dominoni technology adapted for the CIS countries. A high-speed, universal machine for most combine harvesters, with self-cleaning and self-adjusting sprocket tensioners, it is able to remove dead stalks and ensure low corn cob loss. In addition, this model comes with a three-year warranty and seven-day service.
The Maizco corn header is also compatible with most combine harvesters and is designed for harvesting corn on the cob in small to medium-sized farms. The ergonomic shape and profile of the hoods, made of durable technopolymer, allow the machine to be installed almost parallel to the ground. The design ensures easy sliding, collection of low-growing or fallen material, unhindered movement of plant mass and prevents cobs from falling out of the unit. The gap between the two tear-off plates is adjusted directly from the cab using a hydraulic or electric drive. The header operates smoothly at speeds up to 15 km/h. Features of the model are a patented bed pattern with a protective clutch, six self-sharpening knives and a counter-knife on each roller to prevent weeds from wrapping, an independent mechanism for adjusting the angle of the hoods to fine-tune the device to the harvesting conditions and low weight. The shredders, operating at speeds up to 2800 rpm, with two knives instead of drive chains, are equipped with gearboxes made of durable aluminum alloy, the arrangement of which allows for clean and even cutting of stems at a height of 10-12 cm from the ground surface. To prevent premature wear of the rubber of the stubble harvester, spring supports and press rollers are installed.
DESIGN FEATURES
Unlike most competitors, the Ziegler Tecnomais header, designed for small and medium-sized farms, has extended beds with 63 cm rollers and adjustable, almost parallel to the ground, knives with wear-resistant tungsten carbide surfacing. This design, while reducing the impact force of the cob on the tear-off plate, allows you to increase the harvesting speed to 15 km/h. In addition, the unit copes with the collection of stunted and laid down corn, including in fields with high weeds, and leaves stubble only 10–12 cm high. Features of the Italian corn header Capello Quasar F8, produced with a fixed and folding frame, are dividers made of durable , a lightweight, corrosion-resistant technopolymer and a cutting system that ensures that only 8–20 cm of plant residues are retained. In addition, all lateral drive elements are in an oil bath, which allows the unit to withstand peak loads. This technique can also be used to harvest corn grain.
For row harvesting in small areas, Chinese double-row self-propelled combines 4YZP manufactured by Laizhou Machinery Group are used. Wheeled model 4YZP-2D with a power of 73.6 kW and a capacity of 0.33 sq. m/h and a turning radius of 7 m, removes stems at a height of 22 cm from the soil surface. The 4YZP-2L tracked harvester, with a power of 52 kW and a turning radius of up to 6.5 m, cuts plants at a distance of about 21.5 cm from the field.
FOR GENTLE WORK
Sweet corn is grown for sale in the form of fresh vegetable products and canned food. It is harvested at the stage of milky and milky-wax ripeness, when the cobs are still tender and easily injured. For this reason, to work with such raw materials, harvesting machines are required that handle the harvest as carefully as possible and ideally preserve the appearance of the product. There are not many such units on the Russian market yet.
The most famous self-propelled combines for harvesting sweet corn on the cob produced by the French company Bourgoin are B410, B510 and B610, effective over large areas. Cars with a diesel six-cylinder FPT engine of Tier 3B standard and a power of 242 hp. s., a fuel tank capacity of 600 l and a hydrostatic transmission, they move well across the field and public roads at speeds of up to 15 km/h. The equipment is equipped with a channel or plate header, working with row spacing of 77.5 and 60/80 cm, respectively. The combine harvester, equipped with the second type of device, has a stalk ejector with two turbines driven by its own hydraulic motor, a cob-cleaning table with 20 cast iron and rubber rollers, and a hopper with a capacity of 10 cubic meters. m. Operations, including the reversal of shafts during overload, are controlled from the cabin via an interface.
Equipment from China is actively moving into the Russian market. For small farms, mini-harvesters are offered: the trailed double-row harvester Oxbo CP and the single-row wheeled unit Oxbo CP 100 produced by the CIF company. A single-row machine with a lifting capacity of 5850 kg with a cob unloading height of 3–4 m and a turning radius of 4.5 m is capable of harvesting 1000 hectares per season. It has a six-cylinder John Deere engine with a volume of 8.1 liters, a fuel tank of 758 liters, a hopper with a capacity of almost 15 cubic meters. m, dual hydraulic brakes, spring and hydraulic parking brake.
The Oxbo DB18 combine, equipped with Oxbo's 3000 series headers, can be used to harvest not only sweet corn, but also cobs in seed crops. The payback period for these machines is relatively short - 7–8 years.
ASSEMBLE WITHOUT LOSS
Growing corn for grain is a common activity in our country. All other things being equal, the advantage for harvesting is a technique that has a high operating speed, a low hood profile, closed maintenance-free bearings of the pulling rollers, as well as a durable and simple design that allows you to harvest short and fallen stems. To minimize technological maintenance, it is important that the working parts of the header are easily accessible for inspection, inspection or service operations. In addition, equipment with lower weight, impeccable crushing of leafy stem mass, and reduced grain losses when collected in a bunker wins. Additional advantages are the chopper, protected by special elements from winding and impacts on the ground, hydraulic and electrical adjustment of tear-off plates, and low energy consumption. Of course, the warranty period of 2-3 harvesting seasons and the availability of accessible service centers are important.
For harvesting food and feed grains of technical ripeness corn in our country, equipment of both Russian and foreign origin is used. Domestic models are represented by a series of high-performance four-, six-, eight-, twelve-row headers for row spacing of 70 or 75 cm from the Argus brand. The design of these machines allows you to adjust the distance between the plates for separating cobs, reducing setup time when harvesting different crop hybrids, and ensures a harvest completeness of at least 98.2%. Knife rollers, pulling the stem, evenly split it along the entire length and chop it into pieces 10 cm long, so tillage with heavy disc harrows is not required. The advantages of the devices are also determined by comfortable control, overload protection mechanisms, reliable and durable European gearbox, double-sided drive from bevel gearboxes and cardan transmission. The stubble protection kit for the combine's front wheels ensures minimal maintenance, and the low weight of the equipment helps reduce pressure on the soil. However, to attach headers, special hydraulic adapters are sometimes required, for example PPK-41 Argus 470, PP-430 Swa-Pick pick-up platform for Acros, Vector and Torum combines, PPK 61-01 Argus 670 for the Don-1500B machine. But the PPK-81 Argus device makes it possible to quickly and at minimal cost convert a corn header for sunflower harvesting. At the same time, the four-row header model works perfectly even in tandem with the Niva grain combine, thereby allowing small farms to optimize the costs of modernizing their machine and tractor fleet.
MOUNTED OR SELF-PROPELLED
The corn header NASH 670-K-03, manufactured by Unisibmash JV LLC, harvests crops on flat fields with a slope of no more than 8º and works in conjunction with a converted grain harvester. The NASH-870K-M model is suitable for Acros 530, Acros 550, NASH-870K-04 for KZS-1218 Palesse GS12, NASH-870K-06 for John Deere equipment. The peculiarity of the device is in inclined chambers with a replaceable drum beater and double-sided stalk chopper knives operating directly under the tearing rollers. The design ensures high-quality grinding and uniform distribution of mass. The KMS-8 header from Liskiselmash LLC is aggregated with grain harvesters Skif, Niva, Don-1500B, Acros, Vector, KZS-1218 Palesse GS12, John Deere, Claas, Massey Ferguson, Topliner and New Holland. The advantages of this machine include the ability to collect grain into the bunker from both upright ripe corn and lodged corn. Due to its lower weight compared to its analogues, the cleaning productivity of this model is 15–20% higher, while consuming less fuel. The kit for mowing corn for grain KOK 6-2 is used as part of the KZS-10K, KZS-812, KZS-10K and KZS-1218 combine harvesters. It includes a six- and eight-row header with a gentle cob separation mechanism, a cutting and chopping apparatus, a reducing gearbox for the threshing drum, a set of parts for transforming a self-propelled thresher and feeder chamber. In addition, a module is provided for converting a transport trolley for grain crops into a device for transporting a header. The low profile of the unit allows you to work almost at soil level, remove laid crops, leaving low stubble, and minimize losses.
Users of the PKK-6 self-propelled six-row corn harvester note the good maneuverability of the equipment and the small expenditure of time and effort on its debugging and maintenance. It is also possible to use a semi-trailer combined with a tractor as an independent loading vehicle. The Torum 780 rotary combine harvester with a powerful German engine and a fuel tank capacity of 850 liters is optimal for harvesting 1000 hectares. In good weather, in 12 hours of a working day, it can thresh 100 tons of clean dry grain, with virtually no losses. According to owners' reviews, the machine's speed is not inferior to its foreign analogues and even exceeds them. After 4,000 operating hours, repairs are practically not required, and if they happen, servicing Russian equipment turns out to be much cheaper than imported ones. However, if there is high humidity or a large amount of weeds on the field, the deck of the combine becomes clogged, and when unloading such raw materials, the belts may break.
IMPORTED OPTIONS
The arsenal of foreign equipment is also wide, while used machines cost almost the same as some new domestic units. Agricultural producers pay, first of all, for reliability, lack of need for technological maintenance, ergonomics and comfort, allowing them to work for a long time and at any time of the day.
It should be noted the most frequently offered models on our market, including those from our closest geographical neighbors. The trailed three-row corn harvester KKP-3, when combined with the Ukrainian-made Khersonets-9 combine, copes with harvesting corn in the full ripeness phase with a moisture content of the cobs of no more than 30% and leaf-stem material at the level of 60%. The device can be used for separate harvesting of cobs and green mass for silage. The combine is equipped with an alarm system and control of technological operations from the tractor cabin, as well as a hydraulic mechanism that raises and lowers the chopper pipe and pulls up the tractor trailer. Another Ukrainian harvester, John Greaves ZhK, is adapted for the CIS countries and the southern regions of Russia. The developers of this model of the popular Oros analogue added an integrated chopper system that can be retrofitted for sunflower harvesting, the number of parts was reduced, the attachment was simplified, and the unit itself was adapted for most combine harvesters. In addition, foreign-made gearboxes, Czech chains, equipment sprockets and Italian oil intake elements were installed. The machines are available in different working widths. They easily penetrate between the rows, pick up the stalks, lift them and direct them into the channel of the corn header, where the cobs are crushed. The plant mass remains on the soil surface, while the design of the blade system forms stubble with a height of at least 17 cm. The header has a high price, but it pays for itself in about two seasons.
THE LINEUP
Another version of the Oros machines, represented by the eight-row CornMaster-8 header for harvesting ripe corn, was developed by the Belarusian enterprises Novator-Plus and the Gomel Casting and Normal Plant. Of all similar models, this one can be described as one of the most flexible, as it adapts to 78 combine variants. The unit completely crushes weeds and stems into pieces measuring 3–5 cm, while grain loss does not exceed 1.4%. It should be noted that this equipment meets European quality, is characterized by reliable components, simple and minimal maintenance, high-quality cleaning, and is comparable in price to Russian analogues. The original Oros header manufactured by Linamar is also compatible with most combine harvesters - “Don-1500” A/B, Vector, Acros models 530, 540, 560, 580, 590, 595+, Torum 740, 760, 780, KZS-10K “ Palesse GS10", KZS-1218 "Palesse GS12", Case IH 2388, John Deere S690, Claas Mega 208, 360, 370. The machine is available in fixed and folding versions. Since the design cuts off the stem mass, sending only the cobs for threshing, the combine operates more efficiently and with less fuel consumption. The chopping system crushes the stem mass into fragments up to 3 cm in size and completely destroys weeds between the rows. In addition, shear plates are installed on the assembly unit to limit the winding of plant fibers onto the rollers. The multi-coupling allows you to quickly and efficiently connect the hydraulic and electrical systems of the combine with the header. There is a row-by-row shutdown mode. The gripping device, located parallel to the soil and at an angle to the pulling rollers, makes it possible to cut corn at a height of up to 5 cm. Since closed ball bearings are used, lubrication of the pulling rollers is not necessary after each shift. Thanks to the powder coating, the metal structure of the equipment is well protected from fading and corrosion. It should be noted that in our country, CornMaster-8, Oros Rus and Oros Cornado headers can be purchased under Program No. 1432 and on lease.
The Belarusian grain harvester KZS-1218 "Palesse GS12" produced by Gomselmash works well in tandem with the NASH-870K-04 corn header and the Murska machine, coupled with the K-744R4 tractor, for subsequent grain flattening. This complex is ideal for agricultural enterprises with large acreage and high yields, as it is designed for a capacity of more than 20 tons of bunker grain per hour. The combine is equipped with an efficient double-drum thresher with preliminary mass acceleration. The KZS-1624-1 “Palesse GS16” model uses a combined scheme that combines the advantages of drum threshing and rotary separation.
EUROPEAN QUALITY
The Olimac Drago roller corn header has an interesting advantage - it is able to automatically adjust the gap between the cutting bars. The cutting unit installed on it uses the principle of scissors, and the conveyors are of the screw or plate type. This equipment has been produced since 1974, is present on the market in six- and eight-row, as well as mounted and trailed versions, and is suitable for direct combining when coupled with Laverda, Case IH 1680 and John Deere machines.
Italian headers Capello Quasar F12 and Capello Quasar Diamant 8–12 are available with a rigid and folding frame and are equipped with an additional chopper with three knives. The Claas Lexion 670 combine harvester goes well with these models. In this configuration, the equipment works perfectly according to the GPS navigator, so there is no need to adjust markers or parameters - the unit cleans all the rows cleanly, without gaps. However, these machines are expensive, and to prevent the complex from running idle, the maximum load should be ensured using the width of the header. If you use branded spare and replacement parts, the combine does not require major repairs, and its standard maintenance is simple and convenient. For example, dismantling the air filter can be done without special tools, and the blades can be removed without replacing 360 hectares. You should not skimp on such details to avoid wasting time and money. Users note that work with this complex can be carried out even in the dark: lamps are installed on the stairs, the filling neck and even under the hood to illuminate the affected area. There are also virtually no problems with repairs. When choosing a chassis, you need to remember that the tracked model has less fuel and fuel consumption per ton of crop than the wheeled version, but the first option is less resistant to long distances, and it is not allowed access to the asphalt surface of public roads.
SIMPLICITY AND RELIABILITY
Many foreign manufacturers offer equipment for corn harvesting. Thus, the Dutch eight-row New Holland headers for CR series combines copy the field surface well, processing each row individually. Better cutting is also ensured by the ridge system guiding any lost ears back to the machine. To protect tires or tracks from wear or puncture by stubble, the structure is equipped with a special mechanism. In addition, the units have a special option - integrated shredders, which finely crush the stems and evenly distribute the mulch, thereby reducing operations to prepare the field for the next season.
The advantage of the Mainero-3010 corn header is the orderly supply of material, which improves the threshing process of the combine. Other advantages include an adapter that allows for quick, simple and easy attachment or detachment of the device. There is minimal maintenance for the shielded front bearing, eight-mount roller lift chains and tensioning system. The machine allows for high-quality shredding of leafy stem mass. Agricultural producers can also use the German Ziegler CC header with a fixed type model, characterized by high-quality materials and reliability, and the Turkish Elibol device, which is an analogue of the Fantini L03 machine and specially designed for harvesting corn for grain. The latest technology is compatible with most modern grain combines, has a fixed design, an independent chopper for each row, a plastic hood and the ability to adjust the position of the plates directly from the cab. Universal six-, eight- and twelve-row corn grain headers ZF Maisflow 650/675, 850/875, 1250/1270 manufactured by Zaffrani are suitable for John Deere combines and harvest corn with row spacing of 50, 70 and 75 cm. They are quite light and durable, and according to some users, they are superior to Capello cars in fuel economy and performance. In addition, after their passage, the field turns out to be suitable for zero tillage.
MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
Situations often arise when part of the crop needs to be harvested for cobs, and the other for grain. In this case, the Franco Fabril MH and Franco Fabril SF corn header models will help out and save the enterprise’s budget. These machines have a robust design and foldable steel dividers for transport, so they are considered more durable than their plastic counterparts and experience less resistance when passing stems. The harvesters are economical, carefully harvest grain or cobs, and provide the operator with optimal working conditions. The devices are aggregated with the majority of combine harvesters used in Russia - New Holland, Case IH, John Deere, Claas, Massey Ferguson, Sampo, Acros 530, Torum, Challenger, Deutz-Fahr, Laverda, Don 1500.
Of course, in addition to the presented units, many other headers and combine models are sold on the Russian market, so domestic farmers can always choose any machine from a wide range in accordance with their financial capabilities and needs. At the same time, most agricultural machine-building companies do not stand still and strive to meet the ever-increasing demands of the agricultural market. For this reason, they are constantly developing new machines, including working on autonomous robotic technology that will be even more accurate and gentle on both the crop and soil, and the operator.

KMS-6 headers have the following advantages:
The model has undergone design improvements: the roller supports have been improved, and it has become possible to continuously adjust the inlet distance. The auger is equipped with reinforced blades that help the cobs move into the storage chamber.
The header has become more durable. Most of the components and mechanisms have been strengthened: safety clutch, stem conveyors, spherical support leads, elements of the aggregation kit, belts and chains of increased strength.
The modernized KMS type corn header was created taking into account high technologies. Elements and materials with extended service life were used: due to this, a universal device that was easy to use was obtained.
Compared to other devices for corn harvesting, KMS-8 have a significantly lower structural weight and energy consumption. This allows you to increase the productivity of corn harvesting by 15-20%, as well as significantly reduce fuel consumption.
The headers are aggregated with grain harvesters "SKIF", "SLAVUTICH", "Niva", "Don-1500B", "Vector", "Akros", KZS-1218 "Palesse", as well as combines manufactured by "John Deere" , “Claas”, “Massey Ferguson”, “Topliner”, “New Holland” and others.
About the design features of the corn header
The headers used to collect corn from the fields have a fairly simple design. As a rule, this is a hood, most often made of plastic. This element also performs such functions as directing the stem to the cutting mechanism; a transport chain can be placed on its upper part, which helps the hood support stems that have fallen, as well as cut and transport them to the auger and feeding mechanism of the combine, and protects the cutting mechanism itself from the same stems.
The cutting mechanism consists of two feed chains, each of which has six knives made of high strength steel. They can be easily replaced. These chains feed the stems to the harvester, after which they are cut by rollers with counter-cutting knives.
Thus, they work on the same principle as scissors. Other mechanisms for cutting can also be used, but the main principle of operation is that while the stem is being transported to the combine, it is cut in small parts all the way to the cob. Thus, a minimum amount of debris gets into the combine itself. There are header models that are equipped with a special design that allows them to fold to the width of the combine itself. Thanks to this, the headers can travel on public roads without removing the attachments.
Characteristics of the KMS-6 header
- With the help of special removable spacers, the headers can be easily and quickly combined with all domestic and foreign grain harvesters. For quick re-aggregation, reinforced upper catch hooks located on the spacer lift and securely hold the header by the upper round pipe of its frame. From below, with the help of two bolts hinged on the center beam of the frame, the header is rigidly attracted to the spacer frame.
- The elements of the header's attachment to the combine have been strengthened, automatic tensioning devices for the drives have been installed, as well as new belts and chains with increased traction capacity, and hardware of a higher strength class have been installed.
- The headers have a reinforced bed structure with cutting rollers and stem conveyors. The supports (front double-jointed, with rigidly fixed hinges and rear self-aligning spherical) provide the possibility of high-performance operation of the header.
- To increase the technical and technological reliability of the header, the safety clutches and cups of the transfer boxes, in which support ball bearings of the input shafts are installed, have been strengthened on the left and right channels.
- The drive of the spherical support of the drum drive has been strengthened.
- The front supports of the rollers have been strengthened, which are rigidly fixed to the sidewalls of the channel frame and make it possible to continuously adjust the distance at the entrance to the scraping rollers.
- For harvesting high-yielding corn hybrids, the design of the cob auger has been strengthened. In the central part of the auger, blades are installed to transport the cobs into the inclined chamber of the combine.
- A reinforced safety clutch is installed on the auger drive shaft.
- For visual control by the driver of the header auger, lattice windows are installed on the windshield.

Review of popular manufacturers
It is important not only to plant the crop well, but also to harvest it, which can only be done by equipment from trusted manufacturers. Low-quality and cheap units can lose up to 50% of the yield when cut, which simply cannot be allowed. Below we present the most popular models with characteristics and a brief description of the main features.
Geringof
The company is one of the leaders in the production of corn headers. It produces both foldable and non-foldable units with different numbers of rows. There are also several options for the cutting mechanism, which affects the quality of cutting and chopping the stem, as well as the final cost of the product. The main goal of the manufacturer is to create a header that can adapt to working conditions in any field and give the best harvesting results.
