User reviews

Vladimir:

“As for Chinese technology, the Veima 1100 ae walk-behind tractor is an ideal machine. Electric starter pulls normally and does not choke. Sometimes I work with lugs, but generally the wheels have good cross-country ability. Takes diesel in moderation. It’s convenient to work, your hands don’t get tired at all. The assembly doesn’t look like it’s made in China, it’s a great car.”

Kirill:

“I have a decent plot of 77 acres. I bought a Veima 1100 C petrol walk-behind tractor at a good price. The assembly is normal. Works in any weather, I use a lot of attachments. There were no problems during 2.5 years of operation. The only thing is that the rubber wore out quickly and the opener cracked.”

Motoblock Weima WM1100

Weima walk-behind tractors are produced at the Chinese plant Chongqing Weima Power Machine Co. Ltd., which specializes in the production of high-quality small garden equipment.

When choosing a walk-behind tractor, it is necessary to take into account the type of fuel for the engine. Gasoline models are cheaper. Diesel engines are more expensive, but they have a longer service life, consume less fuel and are considered to be of higher quality.

Reviews

  • I purchased a Veima WM1100A walk-behind tractor in 2013. The model is quite light for its class. I intended to use the equipment for a large plot of 70 acres, which had remained abandoned for a long time. I had no experience using walk-behind tractors before, so I chose the model based on reviews on the Internet and the available budget. After a week of searching, I bought a Weima WM1100A device with a 6-horsepower motor, complete with cutters. The special equipment did a relatively good job with the processing, but due to the lack of guide wheels on the rototillers, it was quite difficult to control it. The small weight of the device also interfered with normal processing. As a result, I went through each section twice. At first I simply broke up the soil, and then further crushed it. The model had few disadvantages. The build quality was not very satisfying (various deficiencies were constantly discovered) and almost immediately the edging rubber band in the gear shift area deteriorated (I had to replace it).
  • I used the Veima WM 1100BE walk-behind tractor for one season (a relative went on a long business trip and gave away the equipment). The motor of the walk-behind tractor is quite tolerable and makes a good impression; there were no problems starting it. I liked the control system less. The teeth on the clamps began to crumble almost immediately, and the maneuverability of the equipment turned out to be not the best. Vibration during milling is transmitted to the hands, which is why pain occurs even with short working hours. And even gloves can’t save you here. Changing gears is again awkward. When working, you simply cannot see what position the lever is in, so you have to constantly bend over when switching. The travel for the reverse and clutch levers is too tight and too large. When assembled, the unit is quite wide and requires considerable force to turn. I cultivated a plot of 10 acres on Veima WM 1100BE. After using it, I was left with very mixed impressions; I’m unlikely to buy this walk-behind tractor for myself.
  • As I grew older, I began to want to mechanize some work on the site, so I decided to purchase a walk-behind tractor. I chose Weima WM900M on the recommendation of a neighbor. The model is quite large in size, but very productive. The special equipment does not eat oil, and its body is made very well. Over 3 seasons of work, I never had to tighten anything extra. The motor on the walk-behind tractor is quite quiet and almost always starts the first time. When working with Veima WM900M, your hands get a little tired, but the tension is not severe. After choosing the optimal position, processing becomes very comfortable and does not cause problems. The fuel consumption of this model is quite acceptable - no more than 1.5 liters per hour of operation. There were no questions regarding the design. I liked the walk-behind tractor.
  • Veima WM1050 was used to save time. I bought a walk-behind tractor on sale for not a lot of money (this is what the choice was based on). Initially I thought that this model would be enough for 1-2 seasons, but the special equipment turned out to be of high quality. Despite the Chinese assembly, Veima WM1050 worked very confidently. I processed 40 acres of my garden using a walk-behind tractor quite quickly compared to a shovel and rake. Fuel consumption was moderate (no more than 1.7 liters per hour). The device turned out to be unpretentious in maintenance and “ate” Russian gasoline without any problems. There were no serious problems, I recommend Veima WM1050.

User manual

Before starting operation, all new owners of Veima diesel walk-behind tractors must be sure to read the operating instructions and the structure of the walk-behind tractor.

If you purchase a Weima walk-behind tractor second-hand, be sure to ask for the operating instructions from the old owner.

It describes the correct assembly sequence, the structure of the walk-behind tractor and the purpose of the control levers, the rules for the first start-up and run-in, the schedule for carrying out preventive maintenance and ways to correct major faults.

Device

Weima walk-behind tractors are distinguished by functionality, efficiency and good parameters.

Features of the Weima walk-behind tractor:

  • A set of cutters is included with Veima walk-behind tractors. This is the basic and most popular attachment.
  • The gearbox has 6 positions. Thanks to lower gears, more thorough soil cultivation occurs at low speeds.
  • At the front of Veima diesel walk-behind tractors there is a telescopic footrest, on which you can lean the device while warming up the engine, taking breaks in work or carrying out repairs.
  • All Weima walk-behind tractors are equipped with high pneumatic tires with a wide tread, which allows the device to move on sticky soils and on inclined surfaces.
  • Weim's vehicles have a low center of gravity and high weight, which gives it additional maneuverability.
  • To protect the owner of the Weima walk-behind tractor from flying dirt and dust from under the wheels, wide protective fenders are installed.

Veima walk-behind tractors have a power take-off shaft, which allows you to customize the operation of the device for a specific task. A large number of attachments are suitable for the Weima walk-behind tractor.

This device can help with the following work:

  • soil milling,
  • plowing,
  • cultivation,
  • snow removal,
  • planting and digging potatoes,
  • hilling of agricultural crops,
  • weed control and cargo transportation.

Service

Veima walk-behind tractors are high-quality equipment, but in order for the device to serve for a long time and without failures, it needs care.

Caring for a walk-behind tractor includes following simple rules:

  • It is necessary to change the engine oil every 25 hours of machine operation. The operating instructions recommend the use of semi-synthetic lubricants with classification 10W-40.
  • We must not forget about the transmission. The oil in it must be changed every 100 hours of operation. For this, 80W-90 GL-5 is used (you can also use the Soviet Tap-15v or TAd-17i).
  • Control levers must be lubricated with waterproof lubricants (Litol-24 or Solidol are ideal).
  • Upon completion of field work, be sure to clean the Veima diesel walk-behind tractor from any remaining dirt and dust to prevent corrosion.
  • If you do not plan to use the device for 2 months or more, be sure to drain the gasoline and oil. During this time, they will gain moisture and become unusable.
