Owner reviews
Sergey:
“I bought a Pubert NANO 2.5 HP cultivator for the greenhouse. The working width is 45 cm, the depth is 20-22 cm, there is one speed. Works great, great help."
Dmitriy:
“Pubert Vario 70B TWK+ with pneumatic wheels. Briggs engine 7 hp, with 6 cutters it covers a 90 cm strip. I am cultivating a plot of 30 acres.
Advantages: simplicity, reliability, quality, reasonable price, easy to start. I did not contact the service. One of the disadvantages is that the cutters are reluctant to process heavily overgrown areas and have difficulty. Otherwise it's a great car."
Advantages and disadvantages
The Pubert unit is a functional and inexpensive device. It’s hard to imagine a better machine for working in the garden. The French company enjoys authority among farmers and has a reputation as a company that produces high-quality and reliable equipment. The models are equipped with Japanese power units from Honda and Subaru.
Among the shortcomings, we can mention the presence of plastic wings that cover the wheels. They quickly become unusable.
Distinctive performance characteristics that can be called advantages:
- small sizes;
- good power and maneuverability;
- speed adjustment;
- reliable starter;
- successful layout of the gas and clutch levers;
- trouble-free transmission;
- well-fitted gearbox;
- economical fuel consumption;
- motor life reaches 2100 hours.
Disadvantages include:
- the presence of backlash between the cutters;
- during operation, you have to adjust the fasteners on the gas and the casing itself;
- The gear pulley is not made reliably - it breaks if the unit is used on virgin soil.
The Pubert also features good air cooling and a large fuel tank. The machine is made of durable lightweight materials.
The manufacturer produces a wide range of different walk-behind tractors; there is plenty to choose from.
Features of use
Manufacturers sell Pubert walk-behind tractors with transport oil, which is recommended to be drained and replaced with SAE 10W-30.
All petrol models can use 92 octane petrol.
The manufacturer recommends regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
The instructions that come with the walk-behind tractor provide a visually illustrated guide to assembling the model.
Before starting use, you should definitely run-in the walk-behind tractor, thanks to which all components and parts are lubricated and rubbed against each other.
This procedure is the key to long service life of the unit. It is also advisable to carry out a break-in after a long period of inactivity of the machine.
Below is the sequence of work, thanks to which the running-in will be carried out correctly:
- Check the oil and fuel levels in the tanks and top up if necessary
- Start the engine and leave it running at low speed for 20 minutes, then apply gas, sharply increasing the engine speed and immediately reducing it. Test in this mode for 4 hours
- During testing, it is necessary to change gears if the design of the walk-behind tractor requires a certain number of them
- After 4 hours, you can start operating, but you can only use the walk-behind tractor at half strength. This means that cargo cannot be transported or cultivation carried out on dense soil.
- After 8 hours of running-in, drain the used oil completely by tilting the walk-behind tractor horizontally, as a company representative advises. After this, add new oil.
Preparing for work:
- Before operating the cultivator, inspect the area for iron, glass, stones and wires that could impede operation or cause damage to the machine.
- Before starting, inspect the walk-behind tractor for any leaks of liquids, make sure that all components and fastenings are not damaged.
- The machine must not be used without protective covers.
Reviews of Pubert ARO 60B C3
Comment: At one time I had to work on this worthy equipment. You can do a lot of homework on it. Plowing a plot, digging up potatoes or beets is not a problem with this technique. This cultivator is also capable of transporting cargo. To do this, you need to replace the cultivators with wheels and attach the trolley from the kit. Any person can perform this procedure within 2-5 minutes.
Comment: My wife and I retired, bought a house, and acquired equipment. I've been using it for 2 seasons. Helps a lot. And we plow, and loosen, and dig on it. Not heavy. 3 speeds. The first one is difficult work, the second one is finishing work, and the back one. There is a muffler, the neighbors don't fight. The handle rotates horizontally, so you don’t have to walk on the cultivated ground. You can make the handle higher or lower.
Pros: We bought this cultivator for potatoes. Our soil is heavy clay. The chosen cultivator did a good job; there were also no problems with weeds; it is not afraid of large weeds with a well-developed root system. Another advantage is low gasoline consumption.
Advantages: Quite light, but perfectly ensures the quality of tillage, as the rotations of the cutters and speeds are regulated. It doesn't make much noise when working and doesn't seem to disturb the neighbors much.
Disadvantages: I didn’t look for it, it works as it should!
Advantages: Before that I worked as a cultivator “Mole” and a neighbor’s “Tarpan”. The mole is difficult to work with, and you have to try to get it going; the tarpan jumped on the uncultivated ground like a grasshopper. The mole is broken, there is a problem with spare parts. I purchased the ARO 60B C3, it is very comfortable to work with, the presence of reverse is a huge plus. At second speed it works great too.
Disadvantages: Not very convenient location of the gear shift lever. Although you don’t use it often, it’s not very convenient to lean towards it.
Comment: Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. It starts easily, the first time, the engine runs smoothly, it is very easy to operate the device, due to the horizontally unfixed coulter, it is very convenient to plow trees.
Advantages: The soil after plowing is loose, light and without lumps. It is convenient to use and not heavy in weight. Economical in fuel consumption. Very happy with the purchase!
Advantages: Reverse speed, ease of use with a rotary handle.
Disadvantages: At the second speed, the cutters simply stop in any soil, even processed ones, the engine runs intermittently and does not pull.
Comment: I’ve been using it for three years now.
Comment: Good cultivator. Justifies its price. Indispensable for working in the country. There is an adjustable working width, it is convenient to work both in open areas and in hard-to-reach narrow places, between flowerbeds, trees, and other obstacles

To do this, you need to buy a cable from a VAZ car, cut it approximately in half and equip it with adapters that are removed from the old cable. The new element will be much more reliable and durable. In addition, engine starting will be significantly improved. This will be especially noticeable when working in winter.
Motoblock PUBERT Vario 70B TWK+ with pneumatic wheels
The new model of the Pubert Vario 70B TWK+ petrol cultivator is an excellent option for cultivating virgin soil. The cultivator has the world's most powerful 4-stroke OHV Briggs&Stratton engine, with a cylinder displacement of 208 cm3 and a power of 7.0 hp. Thus, the Pubert Vario 70B TWK+ engine will last a very long time and reliably, without interruptions or breakdowns. This cultivator is very convenient to refuel, since no mixture is needed; fuel and oil are poured into different containers. It is recommended to use API SG, SAE 10W30, SH, SJ, SL oils, which will ensure efficient operation. Pubert Vario 70B TWK+ has a chain gearbox, which, if necessary, can be disassembled and non-working parts replaced. The cultivator has 4 cutters, which are made of high-quality steel, which can cope with the heaviest soil, while the manufacturer guarantees their durable use. The diameter of the cutters is 32 cm, thereby allowing them to go deeper into the ground by 32 cm. When using 2 cutters, the width of tillage is 30 cm, and with 6 cutters – 90 cm, thereby speeding up the entire process of plowing the soil. It is worth noting that the cutters are equipped with a special disc with plant protection, so there is no need to worry about them while working on the ground. The Pubert Vario 70B TWK+ petrol cultivator is very convenient to use; its weight is 72 kg, so even a person without any physical training can handle it. During operation, it makes virtually no noise or vibration; the handle is not adjustable, but has an optimal height and length. The PUBERT Vario 70B TWK+ cultivator is the result of cooperation between the French company Pubert and the Japanese, thus, the result of their joint work is a universal unit, which is a good choice for owners of garden plots with an area of no more than 25 acres. The tillage width of this cultivator model can be changed and set to 30 and 90 centimeters. The unit can be used to cultivate virgin lands. Despite the complexity of the tasks performed, its weight is only 46 kg, so, even despite the inability to move in reverse, the cultivator has high maneuverability, which allows it to be used when processing hard-to-reach areas. The PUBERT Vario 70B TWK+ cultivator is equipped with a Japanese four-stroke Briggs&Stratton engine, the durability and reliability of which is guaranteed by the manufacturer. The engine has a displacement of 208 cm3 and a power of 7.0 hp. The cultivator’s chain gearbox is dismountable, which ensures easy maintenance, and also, if necessary, you can replace failed parts yourself without contacting service. The cutters installed on the PUBERT Vario 70B TWK+ cultivator are made of high-quality steel, which allows them to be used for a long time without replacement. The diameter of the cutters installed on this unit is 32 cm, and, accordingly, this cultivator can cultivate the soil to a similar depth. The unit is equipped with special protective discs that are designed to protect plants from cutters, which allows you to cultivate the soil in close proximity to already planted crops. If necessary, you can purchase pneumatic wheels and a cargo trolley for the unit, and use it for transporting light weight cargo. For convenient transportation, the cultivator is equipped with a folding handle. A two-year warranty from the manufacturer may be an additional advantage for choosing this cultivator model.

Advantages and disadvantages of French cultivators
The Pubert motor cultivator is one of the best examples of a good unit at a low price. With small dimensions and weight, French models allow you to plow the soil in small areas, flower beds, and greenhouses. Pubert motor cultivators made in France are in demand due to their durability, reliability and maneuverability. Models from this manufacturer are equipped with high-quality mini-engines from Robin Subaru, Briggs & Stratton and Honda.
Owners often use equipment to cultivate open soil in medium-sized gardens. Among the advantages of technology it is necessary to highlight:
- Compactness;
- Relatively high power for a small device;
- Possibility to adjust the height of the handle;
- Convenient placement of throttle and clutch paddles;
- Virtually trouble-free transmission;
- High-quality gearbox;
- Modest fuel consumption;
- The sleeved cylinder provides a service life of 2000 operating hours.
Among the shortcomings are the gaps between the cutters. Moreover, vibrations of the working elements are already present in a completely new cultivator. Another disadvantage is that during regular operation the owner has to tighten the mounting bolts on the gas regulator and the belt casing. The disadvantages also include the plastic gear pulley - this element breaks quite often, especially if you use the Pubert motor-cultivator for plowing virgin soil.
The design also includes an effective air or water cooling system that protects the motor from overheating. The large fuel tank inside each model allows you to avoid frequent refueling breaks. Other features of the units include:
- Cultivators can be successfully used not only in open fields, but also in greenhouses and small beds;
- Each model is made from high-quality reliable materials that have passed strength tests;
- Possibility to choose a package suitable for each buyer.
- France motor cultivators offers a wide selection of equipment for any occasion and conditions.
The line of Pubert representatives includes the following names:
- EcoMax and ECO - these cultivators are suitable for plowing areas of 10 to 15 acres. Among the advantages, the presence of a transmission with reverse and modest dimensions stands out;
- Primo models are equipped with a pneumatic clutch, which is activated on the handle;
- Vario modifications are mainly heavy equipment that can be equipped with a trailer and heavy pneumatic wheels;
- The Compact series are low-power electric cultivators with a simple design and a limited range of work.
Each series is intended for use in specific conditions. This classification helps even a novice farmer decide on the right cultivator for himself.

Tanoooooo, the hammer is our EVERYTHING! I made the coupling myself, the squares in the cutters too, the active rotors, too, and I didn’t ask anyone to help. By yourself, by hand. beauty. I have already prepared the metal, God forbid it will be done before hilling

I decided to buy Pubert Primo 65B D2. The question arises: why are some Pubertas red, and the one I chose is orange? What's the rationale? How to avoid running into a Chinese clone?
Hello. I’ve been looking for a helper on the farm for a long time and now I came across an advertisement for the sale of a Cayman walk-behind tractor with a pneumatic clutch, almost new and not used, according to the seller, for a ridiculous 20 rubles at the current exchange rate. We decided to go and have a look - fortunately it’s not very far and there are reviews about this equipment not bad. In fact, it turned out that it was a Caiman PRIMO 60S D2. In general, we started it, looked at it, but couldn’t test it because, to put it mildly, it was not the season
Well, in general, I didn’t have a particularly positive impression of him. Yes, as a cultivator he’s probably nothing, but nothing more. The power unit deserves attention. It started at -10 without problems, it runs smoothly and quietly, but the transmission of torque through the belt and the design of the chain gear itself did not inspire confidence and safety margin. One speed means nothing at all. For my needs for hilling and weeding 20 acres of potatoes, as well as creating a trailed one for transporting goods, is clearly not suitable. I see this as a toy for 5 acres or you need to make a big effort to remake the unit, install an additional reduction gearbox and it’s not a fact that the end result will satisfy me. New, for that I definitely wouldn’t buy the price they’re asking for it. It’s better to add it and buy something more serious. You can start throwing slippers
