Characteristics

The model was developed almost from scratch. That is, the tractor is not copied from the previous version, but consists of newly designed components. This allowed the designers to implement in the MF 6713 all the advanced developments in the field of mechanical engineering, as well as eliminate the disadvantages inherent in equipment of this class.

Diesel

The tractor was equipped with an engine of its own production. Forced engine with four vertical cylinders arranged in a row.

His tech. characteristics indicate that the engine design uses a liquid cooling circuit and air is pressurized with a Bosch VE high-pressure rotary pump through an intercooler. The power system is controlled by a dependent fuel injection pump, which does not make the engine less economical or the exhaust gases toxic.

The diesel model MF 6713 belongs to the class of long-stroke units. The design with an increased crankshaft diameter allows for high torque over a wide range of rotation speeds, reducing noise and fuel consumption.

Gearbox, chassis

The tractor's gearbox provides 12 speeds for moving forward and the same number in reverse. To increase service life, the box was equipped with a forced lubrication system, which reduces friction forces in the most loaded parts.

Rotation is transmitted to the input shaft by a dry single-plate clutch. As an option, the manufacturer offers to install a creeper for operation at ultra-low speeds.

Hydraulics

The system is powered by two gear pumps with a total capacity of 92 l/min.

• The first provides a flow rate of 34 liters; it only works for internal components.
• The second powers the rear linkage and hydraulic actuators.

The maximum pressure in the pressure line is 19.5 MPa. In the basic configuration, 2 hydraulic distributors will be installed. Optionally, it is possible to install a third one to control loading equipment.

These are universal, high-performance units with low fuel consumption that perform work on plowing soils of different compositions and densities, planting and harvesting tuber crops, sowing seeds and caring for beds.

Model 6713

The most popular Massey Ferguson tractor is equipped with an AGCO Power four-cylinder diesel engine with 130 hp. According to technical characteristics, it is assigned to the 2nd traction class, it is aggregated with attachments mounted in the rear hitch and front docking unit, which allows the machine to perform a full range of agricultural work.

For reliability, the tractor is available with a synchronized Power Shuttle manual transmission, which provides clutch-free shifting. Thanks to the wide gear range - 12/12 - it is possible to optimize the speed mode depending on the type of work performed and the quality of the soil. Working acceleration in the field is 12 km/h, peak acceleration is 40 km/h on asphalt surfaces.

MF 6713 is equipped with an open type hydraulic system. It has 2 gear pumps, one of which works exclusively on the internal components of the machine and has a capacity of 37 l/min, and the second is responsible for hydraulics and the rear linkage.

The electro-hydraulic system for lifting and lowering loads provides a force of up to 5200 kg, improves the traction characteristics of the equipment, reduces wheel slip, which ultimately leads to an overall reduction in fuel consumption.

In addition to the performance characteristics, it is worth noting the ergonomics of the MF 6713. The tractor is equipped with a large, full-view cabin with an increased level of noise and vibration insulation. The workplace has air conditioning and a heater, and a carbon filter is provided. The tractor controls are placed under the right hand.

Model 8690

Wheeled tractor for the most difficult work in the fields. Equipped with a six-cylinder twin-turbine diesel engine with a volume of 8.4 liters. The power unit is supplemented with a 3rd generation Common Rail fuel system, which improves the performance of the unit and ensures low diesel consumption.

The MF 8690 tractor is equipped with a continuously variable transmission CTV, due to which it is possible to obtain the maximum engine speed and regulate the speed without jerking. All this ultimately reduces fuel consumption. The operation of the engine and transmission is regulated by the DTM dynamic management system, which works to maintain the set speed.

Like all Massey Ferguson tractors, the MF 8690 uses a three-point linkage system. Thanks to the rear hydraulic system, the machine can lift up to 12 tons of cargo, and with front attachment - 5 tons. The load capacity in this model is controlled by the ELC electronic hitch system, which ensures optimal weight distribution and the most accurate selection of plowing depth taking into account the terrain. Thanks to ELC, the likelihood of wheel slip is reduced.

The advantage of the MF 8690 model is the operator's workplace. The machine is equipped with many electronic systems that make it easier to operate the equipment. One of the advantages is the OptiRide Plus cab suspension system, which, thanks to sensors, adapts to any working conditions. It is this that allows the operator to change the hardness/softness of movement.

Operating modes are displayed on electronic monitors located on the central panel and near the armrest, on which there are buttons for controlling the PTO, coupling device, and traction control.

Model 8737

The flagship model in the line of tractors for large farms. According to technical characteristics, the Massey Ferguson 8737 is considered the most powerful model in its class. The machine is equipped with an AGCO POWER six-cylinder diesel engine, which has 4 valves per cylinder. Through the use of the EEM electronic engine control system, it is possible to control fuel injection, which has a positive effect on the power of the equipment.

The Dyna-VT transmission combined with the Supervisor system provides fast and precise gear changes. Due to the dynamic control of DVT, it is possible to automatically regulate the engine speed, maintain speed during field work, and minimize the speed of the power unit without loss of power.

The transmission of the MF 8737 tractor is of a separate-aggregate type. It is not connected to the hydraulic tank, which prevents used oil from entering the gearbox. The PTO operates in several modes within the range of 500-1000 rpm. It can be adjusted depending on the load and weight of the cargo container. Load capacity depends specifically on hydraulics: the rear linkage ensures work with loads of up to 12 tons, the front independent linkage with an electro-hydraulic drive – up to 5 tons.

The cabin in this tractor is panoramic. For the convenience of the operator, an information panel and a central touch display are provided, which displays the operating modes of the attachments.

Features of layout and service

Externally, it is an ordinary tractor with wheels of different sizes. The front ones are controlled. The only difference is in the power frame for attaching loading equipment: it is immediately integrated into the design of the tractor. As a result, it turns out to be an integral part of the machine, and the dealer can only install the required actuators.

Denis Kikichev entered the field a month later this spring. The capricious weather finally gave farmers the green light. The grain grower is pleased with the good condition of winter crops. But you still have to fight for the harvest. It is important to quickly harrow, cultivate, sow row crops, and apply fertilizers. He plans to make up for lost time in a couple of weeks.

Last year, a young farmer Kikichev from the Gulyai-Borisovka farm harvested 70 centners/ha of wheat - one of the highest yields in the Zernograd region. He has been working on the ground for ten years, previously served as a police investigator. He returned from Rostov to help his father Nikolai Zeinurovich, who has been farming since the early 90s. And he immediately plunged headlong into modern agricultural technologies. Crop rotation is carried out strictly according to science. The company focuses on promising wheat varieties. Strives to update the technical base. There are several MTZ tractors in the machine yard - they have already worked for 10-20 years. I've been looking for an alternative to them for a long time. I wanted to choose equipment that was more powerful and more economical. And the main thing is that it is suitable for various agricultural work. Of course, I consulted with my father.

“We chose the 130-horsepower Massey Ferguson 6713 - a real golden mean for those who have small areas,” says Denis Kikichev. — I have already tested it both in cultivation and in disking. In September, one tractor was used to prepare the soil for sowing winter crops. We managed to do everything in 10 days. They worked nonstop both day and night.

The medium-power tractor impressed the farmer with its performance and endurance. Technical characteristics provide greater maneuverability. The manual transmission includes 12 speeds - it moves easily both forward and backward. Accelerates up to 45 km per hour: quickly moves from field to field. Enough power to operate trailed implements. Denis Nikolaevich bought three units at once for the set: a cultivator, a seeder and a harrow.

“We got very decent fuel economy,” says Kikichev. — “Belarusians” have a six-liter engine capacity. And here it is 4.4 liters, but the tractor produces more power. I was pleasantly surprised when I did the following analysis. When plowing to a depth of 27 cm with a plow 180 cm wide, the diesel fuel consumption was only 20 liters per hectare. And on old tractors I spent all 30! The difference of 10 liters is very noticeable.

The machine has worked 137 hours on the farm. Already completed the first maintenance: only the filters were replaced. The head of the peasant farm and machine operator Andrey Golodyuk work in shifts there.

“Very comfortable, good visibility,” the tractor driver shows the cab. — All control levers are conveniently located, like in a car. The seat is height adjustable and rotates in different directions. No need to turn your head. The glass has ultraviolet protection. So now I don’t burn in the sun. There is no noise at all.

Denis Nikolaevich was lucky with the conditions for purchasing equipment. He became the owner of a preferential loan at 5%. I bought a tractor and three implements for it from Bison for seven million rubles. The tractor is assembled at a plant in the Moscow region, so its purchase was subsidized by the state, compensating for 20% of the cost. Plus, the manufacturer itself now offers profitable financial programs.

“If we work this year like we did last year, I’ll definitely bring in another Massey!” — the farmer shared his plans.
