Tractor TDT-75: description and technical characteristics
The TDT-75 tractor is a tracked vehicle of the third traction class. Produced by Altai Tractor OJSC, it served as the basis for the creation of modern skidding mechanisms TT-4 and TT-4M.
The machine has sufficient power to transport large and medium-sized wood from felling sites to storage sites in the absence of equipped roads.
Used for loading and unloading packaged wood. The chassis can be used together with trailed and mounted equipment for various purposes.
TDT-75 effectively performs:
- skidding processing of trunks and whip fragments;
- moving the trunks with the top back and forth;
- dragging of cargo, with incomplete and full loading or suspension.
Unit features
- Low specific pressure on the soil. Wide caterpillar tracks ensure movement on uneven forest roads, snowy areas, and swampy areas.
- A diesel engine, in its time, is quite economical in terms of fuel and lubricant consumption.
- The chassis of the machine is universal - special devices used in logging and primary wood processing in off-road conditions are mounted on the platform.
- Ground clearance provides sufficient maneuverability on rough terrain.
- Increased traction force of the power transmission, high reliability of the chassis.
- Metal protection mounted underneath the frame.
- The motor installed in the cab does not provide comfortable conditions for the driver.
- Compared to the TDT-55 skidder, the maneuverability of the unit in forest conditions is reduced due to its large weight and dimensions.

Chassis
The welded frame is made of 2 steel spars connected by three transverse pipes, a protective sheet and a front sheet.
The suspension design uses spring and balancer units.
Seeders SZP-3.6
The Kirovograd enterprise "Chervona Zirka", founded at the end of the nineteenth century by two brothers from England, was previously called the Elvorti plant. At one time it was the only manufacturer in Europe of many types of agricultural machinery. It was on it that in 1929 the first seeder driven by a tractor was invented (before that they were horse-drawn).
The modern seed drill of the SZP-3.6 type (otherwise, ASTRA 3.6P) is one of the modifications of the common SZ-3.6 model, differing from it in the front end with two pneumatic wheels. In addition, in the rear part of the unit, under the frame, there are ring rollers (four sections) that compact the ground. Because of the latter feature, the machine is also called a press machine.
Purpose
This device is useful when barley, rye, oats, wheat or any other types of grain are ready for sowing in the bins. It can also be peas with soybeans or rarer chickpeas with chickpeas - in general, any legumes. You can also use seeds of a different type, which have similar consumption rates and dimensions. For example, millet, buckwheat or rice.
Conveniently, they can be sown in 24 rows at once. And if you use a special hitch and connect two or more machines, the number of rows will increase two to three times. The necessary fertilizers in the form of granules are immediately added to the soil. Their rate, as well as the number of seeds, can be regulated by a special mechanism - a variator.

Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages:
- The design of the machine is very simple.
- The depth of planting seeds can be very conveniently and extremely quickly adjusted (in increments of one centimeter).
- The speed of work is quite decent.
- The ability to form a line of two or three cars and cover a huge area at once.
- Convenient adjustment of the amount of seed and fertilizer material.
- Rolling the earth to retain moisture.
Flaws:
- The brackets connecting the footboard to the frame are somewhat flimsy.
- The compartments for fertilizers and seeds have separate covers - if you need to sow a little, this is inconvenient.
- The double-disc type coulters used here allow seeding only in rows, and not in stripes, like more efficient single-disc devices. Therefore, this model is sometimes modernized by changing the openers to single-disc ones.

DT-75M technical characteristics
DT-75M technical characteristics. The DT-75M tractor is a modification of the DT-75 tractor. Crawler, general purpose, traction class 30.0 kN (3 tf).
Designed to be used in conjunction with mounted, semi-mounted and trailed hydropowered machines for agricultural (ploughing, continuous cultivation, harrowing, stubble peeling, sowing and harvesting of crops, snow retention), earthmoving, reclamation and road work.
The DT-75M is equipped with a four-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled SMD-14NG diesel engine.
The main engine is started from the driver's seat using a starting engine with an electric starter.
The tractor components and mechanisms are mounted on a welded frame, consisting of two longitudinal spars of a closed rectangular cross-section, interconnected by transverse links.
The DT-75M bulldozer is designed for developing and moving soil of categories 1 and 2, digging and filling trenches, erecting embankments, moving crushed stone and other road-building materials, clearing roads of snow, as well as for performing planning work.
The main clutch is dry, double-disc, permanently closed; a planetary-type torque booster with a friction clutch (gear ratio i = 1.25) is installed in front of the gearbox in a separate housing, which is engaged on the move without interrupting the power flow.
It is designed to increase traction efforts by 25% in all gears when the tractor unit overcomes temporary additional movement resistance.
Instead of a torque increaser, a four-stage speed reducer can be installed, intended only for obtaining low speeds of the tractor unit.
The gearbox and rear axle are mounted in one housing. The rear axle has two single-stage planetary steering mechanisms with stopping brakes.
Band brakes, floating type, make it possible to brake the tractor during forward and reverse travel. The planetary mechanism allows you to reduce the effort on the steering control levers. The tractor is equipped with a dependent PTO, which receives rotation from the drive shaft of the torque multiplier (TMC) or the drive shaft of the speed reducer.
The chassis consists of drive and guide wheels, support rollers with rubber bands, four balance suspension carriages and two track chains. To work with beet harvesters, a unified narrow caterpillar track is installed on the tractor.
The tractor is equipped with a separate-unit hydraulic system, a rear linkage mechanism with an automatic coupler for connecting machines using two-point and three-point schemes, and a towbar. The hydraulic mounted system allows the tractor driver to control mounted, semi-mounted and trailed hydraulic machines from the cab.
The cabin is closed, all-metal, two-seater, sealed and sprung. The seat is adjustable according to the weight and height of the driver. To create normal temperature conditions in the cabin, a ventilation unit is provided that supplies air that has been cleared of dust, humidified and cooled. It turns on when the cabin windows and doors are closed.
To ensure optimal air temperature at the driver's workplace in winter, a calorie-type heater is installed in the tractor cabin.
The design of the cabin allows you to operate the tractor in any weather conditions. To improve visibility, the cabin is shifted to the right of the tractor axis, and the fuel tank of increased capacity is located on the left side of the cabin. To warm up the engine before starting at ambient temperatures below -5° C, a pre-start heater PZHB-200 is installed on the tractor.

Preparation for work, adjustment to a given seeding rate
First, the completeness and technical condition are checked. The drive chains must be installed correctly - with the hooks up and forward in the direction of travel, check the operation of the drive mechanisms of the seeding units, clean the boxes, and lubricate them.
They install the USC and check the work.
Attention: when connecting, observe polarity to avoid damage!
The location of the openers in accordance with the specified sowing pattern is checked using a special board with marks. The board is laid down and, if the positions of the openers do not coincide with the marks, they are moved to the required places where they are fixed.
- Setting the seeder to the seeding rate is done on the installed unit.
- Place it on the trestle so that you can turn the wheels manually (they should not touch the ground).
- Move the regulator, checking whether all coils have the same length of the working part. Move if necessary.
- Check the gap between the valve planes and the lower rib of the coupling. It should not be more than 2 mm when sowing grains or 8-10 mm when sowing large legumes.
- Calculate the gear ratio. Use the diagram from the instruction manual. The selection is made based on the minimum gear ratio and the maximum extension of the working part of the coils.
- The seeds are poured into boxes and a tarpaulin is placed under the openers. Or they put bags on the vas deferens. The gears are installed to the mechanism for transmitting movement from the wheel to the shafts of the sowing devices.
- Turn the wheel several times to fill the coils. The spilled grain is picked up and returned back to the box.
- Turn the wheel 15 times at a speed comparable to movement in the field (the seeder is designed for an operating speed of no higher than 4.2 m/s).
The spilled grain is weighed and the seeding rate is checked using the formula: K=15πDVN/(10,000∙2(1-K))
Where K is the number of seeds per 15 revolutions, kg; D – wheel rim diameter, m; В – working width, m; required seeding rate, kg/ha; “2” – is entered when calculating for seeders in which half of the sowing units operate from the wheel; if everything is from 1 wheel, the number “2” is not entered into the formula; K – wheel slip coefficient, approximately equal (depending on the condition of the soil and how “bald” the tire is) 0.03–0.1.
If you are going to sow low-flowing grass seeds, it is better to turn the wheel 30 times; accordingly, instead of “15”, enter “30” into the formula - the result will be more accurate.
The adjustment is completed by setting the marker offset and placing the trail indicator.
