In its second generation, the Italian “heeled” FIAT Doblo has existed since 2010. Compared to its predecessor, there are quite a lot of changes - a modernized chassis with fully independent suspension, a revised design, improved ergonomics, and expanded functionality. In 2015, the Doblo family underwent a restyling, which slightly adjusted the appearance of these cars and made changes to their interior architecture. The second generation FIAT Doblo arrived to our market late; sales of the commercial family officially opened in February 2018. The car is presented in two versions - passenger Combi and cargo Cargo. Among the features of the new product are a spacious transformable interior with folding seats and a spacious luggage compartment.
In Russia, a non-alternative modification has been prepared for the new FIAT Doblo with a 1.4-liter 95-horsepower gasoline engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox. According to the manufacturer, the Bi Link rear fully independent suspension provides the car with additional stability, maneuverability and smoothness. The list of safety systems includes constant monitoring of tire pressure, a stabilization system, cruise control with a speed limiter and frontal airbags. Standard equipment of the FIAT Doblo includes power steering, heated front seats and heated mirrors, ABS, and a driver airbag. Options such as air conditioning or climate control, stability control, radio and additional airbags are available exclusively for an extra charge.

The first generation Fiat Doblo debuted in 2000. The car immediately received passenger and cargo modifications and several engine options (petrol, diesel and gas). The appearance of the first generation does not attract attention. The prototypes of this car were the City Berlingo and the Peugeot Partner. It was after their appearance in the early 1990s that interest in cars of this class began to grow among commercial customers and ordinary citizens. Fiat Doblo appeared quite late, but it had a tangible advantage. Italian designers were able to study the advantages and disadvantages of competitors, which made their model cheaper and of better quality.
1st generation
Restyling of the 1st generation
The first generation Fiat Doblo did not last long. In the spring of 2004, the car was restyled. In addition, the modernized version received new engines, exterior design and modifications. All the best features of the debut version have been preserved: easy access to the interior, a large trunk and the ability to transport significant loads. At the same time, the updated model has become more harmonious. The front end has been clearly redesigned and the rear end and headlights have been replaced. The works of Italian designers have been noticed on the world market. In 2005, Fiat Doblo received an award at the RAI 2005 commercial vehicle exhibition. The jury paid attention not only to the interesting appearance of the car, but also to its high functionality.
The main production of the modernized Fiat Doblo was located in Turkey, but assembly was also carried out in Vietnam, Brazil and Russia (at the plant in Naberezhnye Chelny). Since 2011, production of the domestic Fiat Doblo has been discontinued, and cars produced in Turkey are supplied to Russia. It is worth noting that until 2016, only restyled cars with a 1.4-liter unit (77 hp) and a manual transmission were sold on the domestic market, although at that time the Italian brand had already introduced a new generation of Fiat Doblo.
2nd generation
2nd generation
The premiere of the second generation of the model took place in 2009. The car was based on the new Fiat Small Wide platform. The car was offered in 4 versions: a small truck, a passenger minivan, a cargo van and a cargo-passenger combo. The Fiat Doblo has received a completely new design that gives it a more individual character. Among other representatives of the M segment, the “Italian” immediately stands out. The powerful front end with a large V-shaped radiator grille, large headlights and recesses for fog lights makes it very brutal. The rear end is also full of innovative elements: a redesigned bumper with wide side moldings and two-tone headlight shades.
At the same time, Fiat Doblo II has unique functionality. The car can accommodate up to 7 people, and the trunk volume reaches 790 liters (with seats folded up to 3000 liters), which is the maximum in this segment. The creators did not forget about safety. The Fiat Doblo has excellent handling characteristics (thanks to the Bi-link suspension) and is equipped with ABS and ESP as standard.
Restyling of the second generation
In 2015, the car was restyled. The main changes affected the external design, which became more modern. The model is assembled at the Tofas factory in Turkey, where special attention is paid to build quality.
Fiat Doblo is very versatile. The model is ideal as a cozy and reliable family car. It will be no less effective in trading thanks to its spaciousness and excellent handling characteristics. The main area of vehicle operation is transportation over short and medium distances.
