This problem at first glance seems insignificant, but this is the case when trucks are used in the construction and public utilities sector, when there is no long process of transportation and stay on the road. However, in the case of long-term driving on the roads, the issue of driving comfort and stay in the cabin becomes quite acute.
This problem has been brewing for a long time , as the developers and designers of the plant themselves have repeatedly stated. The development of a new cabin was a rather labor-intensive process, so the decision was made to borrow the cabin from another manufacturer. This is exactly how KamAZ 65207 appeared with an updated cabin.

Description
Kama Automobile Plant
The plant has repeatedly attempted to introduce cabs from other well-known manufacturers onto its trucks. However, for various reasons, these efforts were not crowned with much success and the maximum that was obtained in the end was a slightly redesigned cabin from old KamAZ models, in which the radiator grille, the shape of the headlights or the distant view mirror were changed.
Naturally, this could not fully satisfy the developers, so they continued to search for a solution to this problem. And a solution was soon found - the Axor cab from Mercedes-Benz was installed on the Russian KamAZ.
KamAZ 65207 was first demonstrated at the exhibition in 2013 , along with other representatives of the 5490 line. KamAZ 65207 is one of the latest developments of the plant, along with the mainline and truck tractor, also developed after 2010. It also has another name - T2640, where T is the tractor, 26 is the total weight of the truck, and 40 is the engine power, measured in hp, divided by 10. To produce trucks of this line, an entire workshop at the plant was converted, where they are produced in limited quantities.
In terms of its appearance, the truck has a fairly modern look, and the appearance of the cabin and body kit are quite original. The truck does not have any sharp corners; the entire lining is quite streamlined, which significantly increases the aerodynamic properties of the vehicle. The design of the radiator is not entirely convenient in the sense that you can only lift one part of the panel.
The tractor's suspension is spring in the front and pneumatic in the rear, equipped with an ECAS system that can change the position of the truck frame to provide a more convenient loading and unloading procedure. In addition, it allows the truck to maintain a fairly smooth ride even in the most difficult sections of the road surface.
KamAZ 65207 is designed on a three-axle chassis with a 6x4 wheel arrangement. The design features a German Mercedez-Benz OM457LA engine that meets Euro 5 environmental requirements and has a power of 400 hp.
The peculiarity of this tractor is the size of its platform - it reaches almost eight meters.

In general, almost all the components located inside the cab are supplied exclusively from abroad, and the interior of the new KamAZ itself is in many ways similar to that of a Mercedes.
