Briefly about the manufacturer

Ivanovets truck cranes are produced by the Ivanovo Machine-Building Plant - the oldest enterprise in this field in Russia. The plant was launched in 1950, with the addition of additional capacities after 1975, including branches from the cities of Galich, Drogobych, Kamyshikha, Balashikha, Stavropol and others. Later, the Galich plant again returned to the status of a separate enterprise.

After experiencing bankruptcy in the 90s, the plant restored production and became part of the Ivanovskaya Brand group. However, in 2016, the company suffered another crisis and a production stop. After the change of ownership, the new owners paid off their debts, and the Ivanovo Autocrane Machine-Building Plant began production again.

General description of Ivanovets truck cranes, chassis types

Until 2016, Ivanovets truck cranes were produced on the basis of KamAZ, Ural, MAZ, BAZ automobile chassis with different wheel configurations, depending on the vehicle’s load-carrying capacity. But at present, models on the BAZ chassis are not produced.

Depending on the model, the cranes are equipped with a mechanical, electric, hydraulic or combined drive. To increase stability, the machines are equipped with a support circuit with retractable supports. The operator's cabin and boom equipment are located on a fully rotating platform, which ensures work within a 360-degree radius.

The safety of work is monitored by instruments and control sensors, and for work in hard-to-reach places, cranes are installed on all-terrain off-road chassis.

Advantages of the KamAZ chassis

Such a wide range of models of Ivanovets truck cranes based on KamAZ is due to a number of advantages of the chassis itself. Other benefits include:

CRANE INSTALLATION

Telescopic boom
– 5-section, 40.0 m long, the longest among all Russian models.
The boom sections have an ovoid cross-section, which provides less weight, greater resistance to local stability, as well as better arrangement of the sliders, thereby reducing local stresses and deformations. This makes it possible to achieve ultra-high load capacity on medium and long flights, significantly increasing reliability and safety. The crane can also be equipped with a jib jib with a length of 9.0 and 15.0 m. The support contour
has a trapezoidal shape. The crane supports are two-section retractable, the front supports are also rotatable, which allows for various options for the support contour and provides the crane with maximum flexibility when installed both in open areas and in cramped conditions. In combination with the special design of the support frame, it allows the KS-65731-1 crane to have a 360-degree working area without loss of load-height characteristics at all flights.

Drive mechanisms

CRANE OPERATOR'S CABIN

The crane operator's cabin has improved visibility due to the use of panoramic glass and two windshield wipers. Ergonomic control panel with integrated safety device and instruments for monitoring the operation of the crane and chassis. Increased cabin comfort is ensured by the presence of an adjustable crane operator's seat with mechanical suspension and hydraulic shock absorption, back support and headrest. The cabin is equipped with an effective ventilation and heating system. The cabin can be equipped with a mechanism for changing the angle of its position for ease of work at high altitudes.

QUALITY AND RELIABILITY

The crane's support frame, slewing platform and telescopic boom are made of high-strength steel and designed using 3D CAD modeling and calculated using the finite element method. The structures are as lightweight as possible and have optimal rigidity characteristics and safety margins. Welded connections are made by computer-controlled machines, which ensures the highest quality of seams, which is documented after ultrasonic testing.

SAFETY

The crane is equipped with a safe control and monitoring system SBUK-302 with a modern display unit and an expanded display, limit switches, sensors, sound and light warning alarms, and engine control from the crane operator’s cab. The SBUK-302 system allows you to monitor the degree of loading of the crane, the length and reach of the boom, the lifting height of the boom head; shows the actual weight of the load on the hook and the maximum lifting capacity at a given reach; automatically, according to specified coordinates, limits the crane’s coverage area when working in cramped conditions and near power lines. A special recorder records and stores operating parameters, the degree of load of the crane and information about its operating time throughout its entire service life.

CHASSIS AND ENGINE

The KS-65731-1 crane is mounted on a KAMAZ-65201 (8x4) truck chassis. This chassis has increased load capacity, high reliability and performance. The characteristics of the chassis allow the crane to have excellent traction characteristics in motion and performance characteristics when working with heavy loads. Arrow composition

Ivanovets truck cranes use an innovative design solution - multi-section booms with an ovoid cross-section. These are multi-section telescopic booms with the number of sections from 3 to 5. Their working length varies from 8 to 35 m (depending on the crane model).

The telescopic boom of the Ivanovets crane consists of:

  • grounds;
  • middle retractable sections;
  • upper retractable section;
  • telescopic boom extension/retraction mechanism.

If you need to further increase the length of the boom, it can be equipped with a jib 7 or 9 meters long.

The boom section is a welded structure consisting of two half-boxes. They are made from low-alloy steel, welding occurs along the center stress line. The upper part of the boom experiences tensile loads, the lower part experiences compression loads, and the side parts experience bending loads. The use of an ovoid section allows the working load to be evenly distributed along the entire length of the boom, thanks to which it successfully copes with large static and dynamic loads. The ovoid booms of the Ivanovets cranes have a significant margin of safety and are capable of lifting large loads to a height of more than 30 m.

Boom extension and retraction

The telescopic boom extension mechanism of the Ivanovets truck crane consists of a long-stroke hydraulic cylinder and rope polypasts. The main role is played by a five-fold polypaste; eight-fold polypastes are used for loads of more than 15 tons and a working boom length of more than 15 m. When operating a crane with a jib, a single polypaste is used.

Long-stroke cylinders ensure smooth movement of the middle sections, and polypasts are responsible for the synchronous movement of the upper section along with the middle ones.

Raising and lowering the boom

The process of raising and lowering the boom is carried out by a hydraulic drive. It ensures the transfer of mechanical energy from the vehicle engine to the hydraulic pump, and from it to the boom actuators. The hydraulic system of the Ivanovets crane allows you to perform the following actions with the boom:

  • climb;
  • lowering;
  • extension/retraction of sections;
  • installation of the crane on outriggers.

Using a hydraulic distributor, boom control can be combined, which allows for parallel execution of several operations - lifting/lowering with extension of sections or rotation of the crane unit.

Boom mechanisms and telescoping system

Most crane models under the Ivanovets brand are equipped with a telescopic boom with a combined hydraulic and rope extension mechanism.

The lifting mechanism includes a motor, a drum, a gearbox with a brake and a pulley that distributes the mass of the load through a system of blocks.

Control cabin

The cabin is located on a rotating platform, providing a convenient overview for the crane operator. The controls are placed taking into account ergonomic criteria and ensure ease of operation.

Control devices for lifting operations

The products of the Ivanovo plant are equipped with control and safety systems. During the lifting process, the driver controls the weight of the load, the reach of the boom, and the horizontal position of the crane. Emergency situations are excluded by boom lift and tilt height limiters, an anemometer and a comprehensive automated safety system, and a signaling device warning of approaching a power line.

Model range of truck cranes Ivanovets

The ups and downs of recent years have greatly influenced not only the work of the plant, but also its model range. If 10 years ago the Truck Crane represented a wide range of equipment, including a 100-ton truck crane on a special BAZ chassis and a prototype of the DGK-50.1 crawler crane with a lifting capacity of 50 tons, now everything is much more modest.

At the beginning of 2022, the Ivanovets truck crane range includes six models, each of which has several modifications. They differ in boom reach and basic chassis.

The most common base for Ivanovo cranes is the KamAZ truck. It presents all models of crane equipment.

KS 35714 and KS 35715

The smallest in the Ivanovets line of truck cranes are machines with a lifting capacity of 16 tons. The boom reach, depending on the modification, ranges from 8 to 18 meters. Crane units are mounted on Ural and KamAZ vehicles - model KS 35714, as well as on MAZ chassis - model KS 35715.

KS 45717

The most modifications produced by the Autocrane plant are truck cranes with a lifting capacity of 25 tons. KS 45717 is an unpretentious and productive model with a telescopic boom. The boom reach ranges from 9 to 31 meters. A number of these models are represented by modifications with indices in the designations B, M and P.

The 25-ton Ivanovets crane, modification B, is equipped with a boom with three sections up to 21 m long. A 9-meter jib is installed. The load moment of this model is 80 tm.

Version M - with a similar jib and boom design, can lift a load at a distance of up to 24 m. The KS 45717K crane, modification P, is equipped with a four-section boom, up to 30.7 m long. Both models have a load moment of up to 85 tm.

KS 6577K-3

Last year, a presentation of a new model took place - the Ivanovets crane with a lifting capacity of 50 tons was released. A five-section telescopic boom with a length of 35 m allows you to achieve a maximum load moment of 185 tm. The crane is mounted on a KamAZ 6560 chassis with an 8x8 wheel arrangement.
