Installation of sewage disposal equipment on a KamAZ frame basis:
- storage tank with a slight unloading slope;
- receiving hatch;
- suction sleeve;
- vacuum pump;
- signal fuse that monitors the filling of the tank;
- pipeline system control valve;
- additional electrical equipment.
The equipment is powered by a powerful engine. A wide suction hose is placed in a pit with pumped-out waste and, under the influence of vacuum, a KamAZ-based vacuum machine sucks the liquid inside the cylindrical tank. After it is filled, a fuse is triggered, turning off the power plant and giving a signal to the operator.
Sewage waste is stored in a sealed steel container designed to hold a large volume. After the transport has arrived at the disposal site, the tank begins to empty. The waste is drained by gravity or under air pressure in a vacuum pump.
A special gun for washing out sludge and suction booms are added to the design of sludge suckers.
Common models used by public utilities are the KO-505A and KO-505B units on the KamAZ-65115 chassis. The equipment contains a Russian-made vacuum pump equipped with air cooling as a standard set. The premium kit includes an electronic engine control panel. With its help, the pumping-cleaning process is carried out from the driver’s workplace.

THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS ARE INCLUDED IN THE STANDARD EQUIPMENT OF THE VACUUM TANKER:
- The thickness of the tank sheet, as well as the front and rear bottoms, is 5 mm.
- In the lower part of the rear bottom there is a technical. a flanged compartment with a diameter of 500 mm (for easy cleaning of the tank).
- External frames.
- Structurally, the container and the subframe are connected to each other using tie straps.
- The neck is equipped with a ladder and an observation deck.
- The tank canisters have a length from the front seam to the rear bottom seam, the width of the canister is 400 mm.
- A tool box is mounted in the front part of the right pencil case.
- The tank is equipped with a pointer type float mechanical level gauge.
The MV-10 vacuum machine on the KamAZ 43118 chassis is designed for mechanized filling, transportation and unloading of technical liquids with a density of up to 1.0 t/m3. Vacuum machines are manufactured in the “U” version according to GOST 15150-69 and are designed for operation on roads of categories 1-3 (SNiP 11-D5) of the general road network at ambient temperatures from minus 45°C to plus 40°C, and relative humidity air up to 80% at a temperature of plus 15°C. The MV-10 vacuum machine is a Kamaz 43118 automobile chassis with special equipment placed on it.
The tank truck includes:
- tank;
- vacuum installation with KO-505A drive;
- electrical equipment.
The vacuum tank on the KamAZ 43118-1016-15 chassis is a round container. At the top of the tank there is a neck, which is closed with a lid. On the neck cover there is a safety valve, a vacuum valve and a pipe for venting air during evacuation or for creating excess pressure in the tank during unloading. At the rear end of the tank there is a receiving hatch designed for draining and filling the tank. For ease of maintenance of the tank neck there are service platforms and a ladder. The tanker is equipped with a pressure-suction hose, which is located in the canister in the transport position.
The receiving hatch is hermetically sealed through a seal with a lid on which a tap and a pressure head with a plug are attached. A safety valve and a vacuum pipe are installed on the tank neck cover, through which a vacuum is created in the tank or air is pumped in when draining. A safety valve mounted in the filler cap is designed to limit the pressure inside the tank. The vacuum valve serves to limit the vacuum inside the tank and consists of a lid, body, and valve.
The vacuum installation consists of:
- grounds
- vacuum pump KO-505
- oil separator
- dehumidifier
- pipelines.
The electrical equipment of the vacuum machine provides:
- sound and light alarm when the maximum liquid level in the tank is reached
- workplace lighting
- turning on the power take-off (PTO).
The rated voltage in the special equipment network is 24V, the current is constant from the vehicle’s on-board network. A safety valve mounted in the filler cap is designed to limit the pressure inside the tank. The vacuum valve serves to limit the vacuum inside the tank and consists of a lid, body, and valve.

Technical Features of Vacuum Loader
The price of a vacuum loader largely depends on its characteristics. Distinctive features of this installation are as follows:
- diesel engine (deck) with power from 55 to 250 kW;
- container volume for collected material – from 4 to 10 m3;
- manipulator boom length – 5 m;
- rotation angle of the manipulator boom – 270°;
- maximum suction depth is up to 25 meters.
The operating principle of the installation is to create a vacuum in the cargo container; by means of a manipulator boom, the material is sucked through a vacuum pipeline and accumulated in the cargo container. This type of special equipment can be indispensable when solving problems in confined spaces. The RIAT VAC “URAGAN” vacuum loader is used in cases of emergency response, the consequences of natural disasters associated with the removal of rubble and destruction.
The versatility of the technology is also due to the possibility of using the suction hose at different distances, for example, by increasing the length of the vacuum pipeline.
After loading, the collected material is delivered to the specified facility, where it is unloaded in a few minutes.
For operation and maintenance, it will be enough to have a staff of driver-operators of at least 2 people.
Application areas of vacuum loader
The use of a vacuum loader will be relevant when carrying out the following work:
- industrial waste collection;
- pumping out liquid materials from basements, sewers and cesspools;
- transportation of building materials (crushed stone, cement, etc.);
- vacuum dust collection of explosive materials (for example, coal dust);
- collection of rocks in case of collapses of underground tracks or roads;
- cleaning of pipelines during repairs and preventive measures.
The vacuum loader has become widespread among public utilities. It is used with the same success in the light, chemical and oil refining industries.
