Main mechanisms

Homemade mini tractors part 1 - Tractor of Peter Dementyev (Bashkortostan, Iglino village)
I started assembling the tractor about 5 years ago. It took me a long time to collect it, not because it didn’t work out, just because I didn’t have enough free time. Mostly a month out of the year.
M412 engine with 76 gasoline, GAZ-51 gearbox, connection through a 16 mm plate (between the clutch housing and the gearbox), the input shaft is shortened in length, and the end is machined for a Moskvich support bearing. The clutch basket is M-412 and the new model release bearing is also M-412, the GAZ-51 clutch disc is cut to the outer diameter, the linings are replaced with VAZ-2108 ones.
In general, when assembling the tractor, I tried to use parts that could be bought at any auto parts store. After the gearbox there is a cardan 30 cm long, so that when replacing the clutch you do not have to disassemble half of the tractor.
The rear axle of the GAZ-51 was shortened to 115 cm, the axle received was already shortened. Since the bridge is very short, the brakes had to be done using the handbrake. There are no brake drums on the rear wheels. Instead of the mechanism that spreads the pads (in the handbrake drum), I installed a rear working cylinder from 2108; I first cut out the section with the cylinder fastening from the 2108 support disk. I fitted the cylinder into the handbrake mechanism and welded it.
The frame is welded from channel No. 10. To secure the engine to the frame, I took the M-412 front beam and cut off the spring mounting points from it. The beam is attached to the frame with 4 bolts. The rear engine mount is rigid using an adapter plate (plane washer connecting the gearbox to the clutch housing). The UAZ radiator, along with the Moskvich fan, also has an electric one from a VAZ 2108, which is turned on by a toggle switch. Steering gear from GAZ-53. I modified it a little, shortened the shaft, welded to it a shaft with splines from the VAZ-2107 steering mechanism, and installed a driveshaft from the VAZ-2107. The front beam is homemade, made from a square pipe measuring 50x80 mm. Sections of the GAZ-24 front beam are welded into the ends of the pipe, and the hubs are also GAZ-24. The beam swings on a Krazovo crosspiece, by the way, this method was tested by my friend on a tractor, it has been standing for 13 years.
The hydraulics on the tractor are standard, pump NSh-10, distributor from T-25, cylinder unknown. Unfortunately, there is no drawing of the plan washer. Take a sheet with a thickness of 16 mm, or thicker, select the length and width to suit your frame (this will be the rear engine mount). A seat is machined into the sheet on a milling machine to fit the diameter of the output bushing flange of the gearbox input shaft with a diameter of 116 mm; the bushing must be shortened in length until the oil drain thread begins. Then you put this faceplate on the box and mark the places for the box mounting studs. Drill holes and cut threads, screw in studs, try them on. The faceplate is ready, all that remains is to center it on the clutch casing, mark the drilling spots from the inside of the casing, through the existing holes. Attach from the inside.
