The 2021 Fiat Ducato is somewhat unique in its class, which also includes the Peugeot Traveler and Citroen Spacetourer. However, it never became their main competitor, due to the fact that, depending on the type of configuration, the Fiat cabin can accommodate either 5-6 or 8-9 seats. In addition, in the basic version this minibus has a very “meager” filling, which is uncharacteristic of the competitors mentioned above. The list of equipment increases solely due to additional options. The Dukato is powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged diesel engine, which is only compatible with a manual transmission (MT). This model is supplied to Russia directly from Italy.
Fiat Ducato 2022 is one of the most famous representatives of its class.
Options and prices
The body of the 2022 Fiat Ducato has undergone subtle transformations and is essentially not very different from the previous one. This can be clearly seen from the published photographs. The car is imported into the Russian market in one configuration, but the modifications vary, and therefore the prices also differ. Models competing with the Italian, which are approximately on the same level with it in terms of their technical characteristics, are significantly ahead of it in terms of equipment.
The price for the standard version of the Fiat Ducato is 2.415 million rubles. An extended version of a minibus with a cabin for 8-9 seats will cost 40 thousand more. As for the equipment, it is approximately the same in all modifications, with the only difference being that in the second version there are no front side airbags, and curtains are located in place of the rear ones. Installation of pillows is possible for an additional fee.
The 2021 Fiat Ducato comes standard with:
- — Rear fog lights;
- — power steering with steering gear ratio;
- — front electric windows;
- — central locking with remote control key;
- — Airbag for the driver.
- — halogen lamps;
- — external mirrors with side turn signal repeaters;
- — height-adjustable steering wheel;
- — Height-adjustable driver's seat;
A typical safety kit includes:
- — SPP — assistance system when starting on hills;
- — traction control system;
- — ABS — anti-lock braking system;
- — exchange rate stability system.
- Usually there is also an on-board computer with pre-heating of the cabin. The Ducato minibus can to some extent even be compared with premium cars. The similarity is that it comes with a fairly good selection of additional equipment:
- - Rear View Camera;
- - alarm;
- — tire pressure monitoring system;
- — air conditioning or climate control;
- — aluminum wheels measuring 15 inches;
- — rear parking sensors;
- — multimedia audio station and five-inch touch display;
- — front and side airbags or curtain airbags;
If desired, by paying a certain amount, you can add systems for maintaining a given speed, lane control, road sign recognition, and head optics control to the basic safety kit. The list of additional options includes: heated front seats, heat-insulating glass, a leather multifunction steering wheel, electrically adjustable heated mirrors, rain and light sensors. To give the minibus a more attractive look, you can purchase additional fog lights, LED daytime running lights, and side sliding doors.

This elegant car is indispensable for urban, suburban, route and intercity passenger transportation. The presence of a Ducato minibus in the fleet will serve to maintain a positive image of a company interested in corporate transport.
Add to this the low operating costs inherent in all FIAT Ducato commercial vehicles - and you get the most modern and convenient vehicle for passenger transportation.
The FIAT Ducato minibus is roomy and comfortable in all respects.
Interior of a Fiat Ducato minibus
The high-quality interior finishing of FIAT Ducato minibuses speaks of the developers' attention to detail, designed to make travel in a minibus enjoyable. Spacious interior, 14 passenger seats, each of which is equipped with soft headrests, reclining backrests and two-point seat belts, air conditioning - everything for the comfort and convenience of passengers.
A wide sliding door, low thresholds (the height is only 540 mm), a convenient retractable footrest will allow passengers to easily enter the cabin and load luggage without much effort.
The developers did not forget about driver comfort. Comfortable soft-touch steering wheel, adjustable in height, gear shift knob, ergonomically integrated into the dashboard. The car comes standard with power steering.
There are plenty of places to store everything you need while traveling. Mobile phone, logbook, documents, pens, drinks - everything is within easy reach of the driver.
The adjustable seat back and the possibility of horizontal adjustment of the seat will allow you to choose the most comfortable position for the driver. In addition, a lumbar bolster, adjustable armrests and heated seats are standard.
Chassis of the Fiat Ducato minibus
FIAT Ducato is equipped with a suspension, the design of which has been time-tested for light and medium-class commercial vehicles - front: McPherson type with anti-roll bar, rear: transverse beam on two single-leaf springs. The suspension is extremely simple, which indicates its potentially great reliability and, if necessary, ease of repair and diagnosis.
Engine and transmission of the Fiat Ducato minibus
The reliable BOSCH Common-Rail direct fuel injection system with a maximum fuel supply pressure of 1600 bar, 16 valves, an intercooler and an effective crankcase gas heating system provides the engine with excellent power characteristics combined with high efficiency and low toxicity. The power unit complies with EURO-3 environmental standards.
- Turbo diesel 2.3 l and 16V
- Displacement: 2286 cc
- Power 110 hp, 81 kW at 3600 rpm
- Torque -270 Nm at 1800 rpm
- Common-Rail fuel supply system with direct injection (pressure 1600 bar) and electronic control
- Intercooler
- Fuel consumption in the combined cycle - from 7.8 to 8.4 l/100 km
- CO2 emissions - from 208 to 223 g/km
The engine is fully adapted to operating conditions in Russia:
- a high-capacity battery is installed - 88 Ah;
- a high-power generator has been installed;
- operating fluids have a low freezing point;
- Engine crankcase protection installed.
The manufacturer provides a guarantee of a cold engine start at −30 degrees. Fuel will never freeze in the fuel lines thanks to the use of an electrically heated filter in the vehicle's fuel system and an additional electric low-pressure pump in the fuel tank.
The Ducato is equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the design of which is maximally optimized due to its widespread use in various car models, both commercial and passenger cars, and even rally cars. It has proven itself to be a very reliable unit that requires minimal maintenance throughout its entire service life. This is achieved by using a simple two-shaft circuit and the use of multi-cone synchronizers, which reduce the maximum load at the moment of switching, which makes the manual transmission reliable and durable.
Design
If the Fiat Ducato model of the twentieth year cannot boast of the modernity of its platform, then everything is in order with the external design of the car. It fully corresponds to the current style for minibuses and minivans, which implies a flat roof line and a steep stern. Ducato wheel arches look quite voluminous, despite their small size. This model is characterized by good glazing at the front of the body. The LED DRL strip decorates the head optics. On the front of the body there is a bumper, visually separated by a radiator grille with chrome strips. There are ventilation holes built into the sides of the bumper and an air intake at the bottom.
As for the interior, it is designed in a laconic, but at the same time modern style. At the rear there are passenger seats, which, if necessary, can be moved back and forth using runners located on the floor. There are seats in front with small armrests and lateral support. A contrasting insert on the front panel visually combines the touch screen with climate control elements into one unit. The gear shift lever, as it should be in minivans, is installed directly on the center console; accordingly, there is no transmission tunnel. The dashboard has an on-board computer screen and four dials.
