Pneumatic precision seeding row crop seeder VESTA 8 PROFI

Seeders Vesta 8 and 12 - features of models

Vesta 8 and 12 or UPS models are used for sowing uncalibrated and calibrated seeds in dotted lines. The model belongs to pneumatic precision seeding drills. Suitable for planting crops: sunflower, soybeans, corn, beans, lupine, beans, castor beans, sorghum. Together with the seeds or separately using UPS 8 and 12, mineral and other fertilizers are applied in the form of granules. The seeder is used to consolidate the soil in the rows after planting. When planting uncalibrated seeds, sowing may have some inaccuracy. Its degree depends on the size and damage of the material.

The Vesta 8 seeder is suitable for tractors with a power of 1.4

Seeds in other seeders are damaged, UPS 8 and 12 treat planting material with care. When compared with mechanical models, seed fragmentation occurs 10 times less. The pneumatic precision planting model ensures the required distance between plants. The planting void will be set according to the norms for each crop. Manual labor during planting is minimized and the farmer’s costs are reduced.

Seeders 8 and 12 differ in the number of bodies. For large fields we recommend using the UPS 12 model; for small fields you can use the UPS 8.

CONTACT WITH SOIL

Anchor, or chisel-shaped, openers have an undeniable advantage - the ability to move crop residues and soil from the seed row. At the same time, the device compacts the seed bed of the furrow, which promotes rapid seed germination. Seeders with such mechanisms include SKP-2.1DA, Agrator Ancer seeding complex, Primera DMC from Amazone, Seed Master and others.

The Primera DMC is designed for direct and mulch seeding in dry regions. During its operation, material is placed under crop residues in order to ensure good contact with the soil and thereby create optimal conditions for seed germination. The coulters are installed using a parallelogram suspension and constantly follow the unevenness of the site, and protection against collision with stones allows vertical and horizontal deviation from obstacles. Double rollers for direct sowing ensure uniform seed depth and seed coverage, while chisel coulters leave clean furrows for the grain. The anchor working parts of the SKP-2.1DA seeder affect the soil at a level of 20%. They create a groove in the ground and a dense bed in which the seed is placed, while the compacted structure of the soil is preserved, and the mulch on the surface remains practically untouched, thereby conserving moisture. The coulter is hinged to the frame; a spring creates vibration, allowing the stand to self-clean and also reduce the traction resistance of the machine.

The positive features of anchor coulters are the ability to apply starting mineral fertilizers and carry out strip seeding, increasing the feeding area for cultivated plants. In addition, operation at high speeds is provided, so the farm will need fewer devices for the sowing campaign. Such openers can work in fields where there is a large amount of crop residue left, while a disc seeder will require significant weight so that the discs can cut the mulch and provide the desired depth without reducing the seeding speed. As a result, if the enterprise uses a disk unit, then it is better to chop the residue to a size of 4–5 cm, and when operating anchor equipment, the straw can be left on the root. The disadvantages of chisel-type mechanisms include insufficient control of sowing depth and a high probability of raking up crop residues. In addition, such openers often damage the field surface, which leads to loss of soil moisture.

Design Features

The seeder shafts are secured with rolling bearings. The grain drive and fertilizer drive also have movable fasteners. Support motor wheels are located on an axis that runs next to the grain coulters. This helps the seeder to follow the topography of the landscape using the frame and seed part.

Proper spacing between plants helps maintain traction. It is located on the supporting natural wheels, directly on the tread.

The seeder package includes a transport device that allows you to mix the equipment without using additional equipment. The tractor and UPS 8 and 12 seeders are connected by a full-weight system. The coupling can be carried out by any tractor driver without experience working with such equipment.

The model is equipped with a hydrostatic marker with a large-diameter disk. It leaves a noticeable mark on the field and the operator can always see where the sowing was done. The angle of the seeds is still adjusted.

On the calling disks there are tedders and comb ejectors. This ensures accurate drinking and placement of seeds into the soil.

For crops that require vacuum, a fan with an air outlet is used. These crops include legumes.

WITHOUT DAMAGING THE EARTH

There are a large number of varieties of disc coulters that work differently in different conditions. The advantages of this type of device include minimal damage to the integrity of the soil. In addition, some manufacturers place a depth regulator gauge wheel at the point where the working body exits the ground, which prevents it from swelling under the influence of the disk, because the smaller the angle of inclination towards the movement, the weaker the impact on the upper layer of the field. Stubble seeders with disc coulters include Salford 520, Bereginya AP-402, SD7200, CPH-2000F, John Deere 1590 and others.

The double-disc working body of the Salford 520 equipment, due to the parallelogram mechanism of attachment to the frame, copies the unevenness of the field and maintains the set embedment depth at high speeds. The discs, offset relative to each other, penetrate the ground, and the plastic compactor located between them evens out the seeds in the furrow and increases their contact with the soil. A spring-loaded parallelogram linkage creates pressure on the opener, which is concentrated on the rubber-lined press roller. By changing its position, the required depth of the disks and, accordingly, the sowing depth are established. The articulated connection with the coulter ensures compaction even when working in fields with complex contours and frequent turns. It should be noted that in front of each device there is a disk knife, that is, a wavy disk, on an independent suspension. It cuts a gap in the stubble, breaks the top layer compaction, crushes crop residues and prevents straw from getting into the seedbed. The depth of the disc knife is adjusted to 2.5 cm below the sowing depth. As a result, the root system develops vertically, and the moisture and nutrients of the lower horizons are available to it. A potential disadvantage of these openers, depending on application and crop rotation, may be the penetration of stubble into the seedbed. In addition, disc organs require increased maintenance costs and increase the cost of the machine.

Technical characteristics of Vesta 8 and 12 seeders

When choosing a UPS 8 and 12 seeder, you should pay attention to their technical characteristics. More detailed technical characteristics for both models can be viewed in the table:

Seeders are produced in Ukraine. Similar models are produced in St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don. The certificate for the Vesta model range, which includes UPS 8 and 12, belongs to the Ukrainian ones. You can buy a seeder in any region of Russia; there will be no problems with spare parts either. And with proper use, the equipment will last at least 10 years. Equipment warranty from the manufacturer is 1 year.

Recently, the UPS8 model has been upgraded to 8-02. The 8-02 seeder is distinguished by the additional equipment of a seed sowing controller. Its technical characteristics are presented in the table below:
