The DAF XF 95 is a new family of trucks. However, the history of the series began in 1987. Then the Dutch brand presented the debut truck 95. With such a designation, the manufacturer decided to show the power and character of the truck. In the 1990s, the first Dutch cars appeared on the Russian car market. special equipment had a high cost, which immediately limited its distribution. Soon, new versions of the DAF 95 XF appeared with an incredibly spacious Super Space Cab. The driver and passengers in it could move without bending over. The engine itself has also undergone global modernization. It was adapted to new conditions (metric system and 24 V instead of 12 V used in American versions). But the pickiness of the engines remained, which negatively affected the work of tractors in Russia. The engine running on domestic fuel was unstable.

In general, the successful design and high quality of finishing provided the new product with an additional audience.

In 2002, the tractor was updated again and changed its name to DAF XF 95. Only the XF designation was left on the radiator grille. The new product could be distinguished by a redesigned radiator grille with beveled edges that replaced the vertical edges. The side deflectors received an elongated aerodynamic shape, making them more efficient (the predecessor had shorter deflectors). The headlights were made narrower, and an additional opening was added to the plastic headlight casing to improve the airflow of the lower stage.

There are even more technical changes. The DAF HF 95 was built on a fundamentally new chassis with modernized Euro-3 power plants with increased torque. In the “minimum” version, the tractor was equipped with an advanced 16-speed ZF Servoshift manual gearbox.

Another important change was the ability to run on low-quality fuel. DAF XF105. It is also a universal power tractor with Euro 5 class. I like this car better than the MAN TGA despite the fact that the MAN TGA has a cooler interior. The fact is that there are different DAF models with the number of wheels 6-10. That is, having one or two driving axles. They can simply release a DAF with two axles to increase traction, this also serves as a greater carrying capacity of the vehicle. This car has 460 l/s, engine capacity 12.9 liters, length 12.50 m, width 2.85 m, height 4.0 m. Fuel consumption 25 l/100 km. Yes, of course, with such a vehicle width of 2.85, you can’t travel freely in the city of Dneprodzerzhinsk. There are some restrictions on the width of the car, as well as its other dimensions. As everyone knows, the length of the truck together with the trailer should not exceed more than 22 meters.

The volume of the fuel tank on the right side is 800 liters, and on the left side 250 liters. Anti-burglary locks are installed on the fuel tanks. The car cabin can be easily tilted using a hydraulic jack; there is a special push handle for this purpose. What can I say about the interior of the car, almost everything there is the same as in the MAN TGA car, well, maybe a little less technology. DAF XF105 The body shape is slightly different from the Scania truck, but basically they can be confused with the naked eye. The Scania truck has a V-8 engine, which is more powerful than the DAF XF105. The DAF XF 105 with a Pacar Emix 340 engine and a 12-speed ZF Astronik manual transmission also exceeded all my expectations. Both cars of different power and strength qualities were tested.
